Where did the fire go? This song used to get my young ass pumped! "Raise" was a tad too Dinosaur Jr.ish at times for it's own good, but aside from that it's a classic. Did the drummer smoke a bowl before this show? The tempo is dragging. They look and sound bored. Oh well, they have played this song eleventy million times.
No offense, Swervedriver. I think you're a fantastic rock band. "Raise" will always be etched into my subconscious. Still sounds fresh! Classic, classic, classic album!
On disc it sounded like a jet engine sparking off in your living room. This is a glider. Pull yourself out, guys! You've got it in you I'm sure.
