Opening the Merman Room

This is not mentioned. In both castles, you gotta go through once as a wolf, and once as a bat. Just go in one way as the wolf, then the other as the bat. When you return as a bat, it'll be open. I still cannot believe it took me almost 12 years to learn about this room. I feel stupid as Hell.

HA HAAAA. That was cake. I would have never thought of that. Lmao. I'm at 198.5% complete and that's the only two rooms I haven't unlocked, the uninverted and inverted Marman room. Thanks for the help.

I did EXACTLY what you did for the inverted castle. Either your way is spliced/fake, or this game is simply full of shit.

Try landing on the right edge of the cave with the bat, then transform into the wolf there, walk through the cave. When you get to the end, jump out and transform into the bat in mid-air, then fly back through the cave. Worked for me

I dont know how I am not able to do this on the inverted castle do I have to reset the room when I mess up? I am pretty sure I done this like a thousand time and still cant get that room open

from the room on the left if you do the sprint as the wolf into that room, through the tunnel and then turn into a bat on the otherside of the tunnel and go through it opens too, it worked for me, i only did this in the normal castle

To get this to work for me, I've always entered the left side as a wolf and exited the right side as a bat.

wow ive had this game since the psx was THE system and i could never find this damn room. the method is sorta ridiculous though, as there is no in-game reference to it. the beryl helm sure made the galamoth battle easier! thnx

I didn't know you could open it naturally, I only was able to reach the room on the normal catle by doing a double heart refresh down. xD

its not reverse,there are 2 castles,normal and inverted.inverted is backwords
