The lyrrics mean nothing. Don't give musicians so much credit. They aren't intellectuals, no matter what anyone might say. There are two lyricists in this song, that's why it makes no sense. It starts of about materialism and becomes wistful paganry. It was what was popular at the time. I don't think there was any huge meaning to the songlyrically. It's the music that takes you away.

The lyrrics mean nothing. Don't give musicians so much credit. They aren't intellectuals, no matter what anyone might say. There are two lyricists in this song, that's why it makes no sense. It starts of about materialism and becomes wistful paganry. It was what was popular at the time. I don't think there was any huge meaning to the songlyrically. It's the music that takes you away.

@raceyboy A lady thinks she can buy happiness, but doesn't really know what it means to have anything worth while. And then people try to show her that there's a way to live with more simplicity, with nature. But ultimately she fails to head the lessons. This is what I get from the song, I hope this interpretation shows how intellectual the song is.
