True, movies can help you discover great songs, but in the end they represent a drop of water in an ocean of great music. If you give yourself the time to cultivate yourself you'll discover plenty more.
I was very lucky to have been in attendance at Spiritualized's "Highest Show On Earth," live at the CN Tower, Toronto (around the time of this release). My friend and I scammed passes and were the ONLY two people amongst the total of 50 or so tag-wearing radio-industry-assholes who actually listened to the show, and enjoyed it immensely. A great studio band who do (sometimes) amazing live shows.
OMG that's so funny. Please anyone that doesn't understand who Clive Dunn is just do a search for Clive Dunn and the song Grandad will come up, you will be sure to get a laugh at the question posed.
I don't. I first listened to this song on the skate video Modus Operandi (I think that's what it was called) back when i was into skating. Really good song!
I don't think you have to be on drugs at all. It's just an entrancingly beautiful (and tear jerking!) song, and that's that. Although, I must say I like the original better.
the song quoted "can't help falling in love" as it was originally written.
unfortunately western copyright law is so absurdly out of touch with the needs of musical culture that it was ripped from the song at the demand of folks who had nothing to do with creating the original work.
Upvote if you discovered this song by actually listening to the band, and note by xyz movie.

Pachelbel, you mean.
What a beautiful rendition. I'd love to have a chance to see this performed live.
