Mr. Willie Mitchell was the originator/producer of this song, Al was pissed that he wasn't able to do it "his" way. When recording Mitchell was insisting "softer, lighter"; by the time they finished Green wasn't speaking to anyone and finally gave them what they wanted.  Thank you God for Willie Mitchell!

Our neighbor once ~ had this really neat record holder in the late 60's/early 70's ~ it went from the floor to the ceiling - like a stripper pole with these holders for the albums ~ I think I recall her having an Al Green album or Curtis Mayfield ~ my mom got one just like hers and my stepfather made her take it down. LOL
