The guitar Eddy is playing is an original Gretsch model 6120SC. He bought it about 1960 or so. He has never used it (until recently) for anything but recording, but has done all of his recordings with it exclusively. It is still in near-mint condition. It is his "baby", notwithstanding his endorsement deal with Guild. In a feature some years back in "Guitar Player" magazine, he said he'd never heard any guitar he liked better "and still haven't".
