What I want to know is was Skip really a blond or a brunet? The reason I ask is because I saw him in the 1985 movie "Once Bitten" (which also starred a young Jim Carrey), and he had blond hair in that film.
A minute and thirty seconds and the best either team do was spell "go?" The other idiot had "rans" up there for half a minute. No, never occurred to him to drop the s and have a word as the clock ran out. ROFL
I miss Nick GaS, which showed this, as well as the other awesome nick game shows from back then (like make the grade, and of course the known ones like double dare and stuff)
Narrated by: James Eoppolo (1989), Henry J. (1990-91), Stuart Hall (2009-present)
The unpaired locker contained "Tomika Goble" on Think Fast UK, which was simply a teacher from Highland Elementary with no match in one of these 15 Blue Lockers.
Think Fast UK came on after Ninja Warrior on Challenge, but unlike the US version, the color lockers are blue instead of red on American version, the color teams are yellow and blue on American version, but in UK, they are red and green.

1990. geez i was only 3 years old. but when it came on NICK Gas, I loved it. classic nick at its finest, if these still aired (and its been twenty years), i'd still love watching NICK in my early 20s and be proud of it.
i remember one of the promos for this show saying that you didn't need school smarts to win on this show, you needed kid smarts. BUT that's not entirely true. many of the events did require school smarts, and the locker room certainly did.)
OMG, gold team, what are you doing?! Didn't you hear Skip many times that you're supposed to spell words? You can't just fling as many letters to the board as possible. That's not how the game works.
I always thought Think Fast was more livelier when they moved production to Orlando; when they taped in Philadelphia everything seemed out of place, from the host to the cramped set (which explains the edits in between stunts).
Mike Carrington was actually much more personable to the contestants when the cameras were set to 'off' at WHYY, often talking to members of the studio audience during the commercial breaks. Nickelodeon often showed him tapes of the Eure version of FK for him to observe hosting styles as they wanted... not sure why he quit (or was fired).
Are you talking about Michael Carrington or Wesley Eure being fired? This is the first I've heard of this... I did hear something about Mike Carrington doing a somewhat bad-taste Swedish impression on an episode of TF that was offensive, but any swearing or such could have (and probably would have) been edited out of the studio master before it aired.
That is not true. Actually, today's kids are more active and intelligent in the real world more than ever, and getting better everyday. Just because a cable network has a different program lineup than it did years ago, it doesn't mean that kids are lazy.
Intelligent is debatable, but lazy makes a lot of sense. Whereas young kids were more physically stimulated with outdoor activity, and teens more involved with after school and community activities, they are now more pampered, and have succumbed to lives of TV, video games and computers at an alarming rate. Granted, we were already headed in that direction back in the 80s.

I didn't mind Skip Lackey either. I found him to be a lot more lively than Michael Carrington.
