  • 0:08 RED HEIRING!

  • Skip reminds me of a grotesque nerdy version of Kyle McLachlan.

  • Why does this host remind me of Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers?

  • @Dodgerfn5 okay, and i thought that micheal carington reminds me of steve urkel lol...

  • I used to love watching this show on Nick Gas when I was a kid

  • video not working past 1:52, at least for me. idk if anyone else is having the same problem.

  • Being born in 1990, I missed this show. So it's nice to see it here on Youtube. =-)

  • Skip Lackey looks like Stevie from Eastbound and Down.

  • Skip got jailed up for being a chomo, he's out now but he's a registered sex offender in Florida.

  • Nick should come up with a retro station and show all the old school 80's & 90's programs.

  • Skip Lackey is almost look like Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers.

  • Copyright 1983 Viacom.

  • this cool show watch the show as a kid

  • Heck yeh that's my cousin Skip!

  • just toe jackass. lol

  • oh damn! you're one lucky dude!

  • Holy crap that girl named tiff is one ugly, deep voiced woman holy crap haha

  • What I want to know is was Skip really a blond or a brunet? The reason I ask is because I saw him in the 1985 movie "Once Bitten" (which also starred a young Jim Carrey), and he had blond hair in that film.

  • he said tan gel la

  • I remember this game show. It had a cool theme song.

I didn't mind Skip Lackey either. I found him to be a lot more lively than Michael Carrington.

  • A minute and thirty seconds and the best either team do was spell "go?" The other idiot had "rans" up there for half a minute. No, never occurred to him to drop the s and have a word as the clock ran out. ROFL

  • I miss Nick GaS, which showed this, as well as the other awesome nick game shows from back then (like make the grade, and of course the known ones like double dare and stuff)

  • What happened if an event ended in a tie? did both teams receive the full $ value?

  • stop the lies

  • Think Fast, the game show came on Challenge in United Kingdom

  • *blink*

    Really? When did this happen?

  • Think Fast UK came on after Ninja Warrior on Challenge, but unlike the US version, the color lockers are blue instead of red on American version, the color teams are yellow and blue on American version, but in UK, they are red and green.

  • Thanks a lot. :)

I'll have to look into this version...I am quite intrigued now.

  • I just searched for this info.

Seeing as how UKGameShows, Bother's Bar, and Challenge don't have any information on "Think Fast" or a "Darren Gamble", I now think I can file this under "wishful thinking". XP

  • bull

  • One team is Gold not yellow.

  • 1990. geez i was only 3 years old. but when it came on NICK Gas, I loved it. classic nick at its finest, if these still aired (and its been twenty years), i'd still love watching NICK in my early 20s and be proud of it.

  • I LOVE THIS SHOW! Upload more episodes.

  • Michael Carrington is better than Skip Lackey.

  • In the same way one turd sandwich is better than two turd sandwiches, yes.

  • Does anyone have an episode of Michael hosting?

  • Hey I agree.

  • @heine71 I don't even remember this guy from the show, only Carrington.

  • @scamsnl Oh, God, Skip Lackey needed his medication, badly! He's so hyper.

  • @heine71 Are you kidding? That guy looked and sounded like a science teacher. At least Skip added some energy to this steaming piece of crap!!!

  • they didnt get shit for words

  • I remember this show.

  • Skip's hair is awesome!

  • that bolo tie is pretty amazing.

  • i remember one of the promos for this show saying that you didn't need school smarts to win on this show, you needed kid smarts. BUT that's not entirely true. many of the events did require school smarts, and the locker room certainly did.)

  • OMG, gold team, what are you doing?! Didn't you hear Skip many times that you're supposed to spell words? You can't just fling as many letters to the board as possible. That's not how the game works.

  • They just fling letters at the board pointlessly. They don't get the game.

  • upload more Michael Carrington and Skip Lackey episodes of Think Fast.

  • Moreso with Michael than Skip, IMHO. At least Michael was tolerable, but Skip was just god-awfully-annoying to hell.

  • Nick GAS should bring this back!

  • Nick GAS is gone but Nickelodeon should also bring back Nick GAS.

  • You gotta love the host's hair. Gosh I miss the 80s!

  • the words could only be 3 letters long?

  • Where did you get the video. Do you know I could contact? My wife was on a different episode.

    Thanks

  • lol

  • I always thought Think Fast was more livelier when they moved production to Orlando; when they taped in Philadelphia everything seemed out of place, from the host to the cramped set (which explains the edits in between stunts).

  • Mike Carrington was actually much more personable to the contestants when the cameras were set to 'off' at WHYY, often talking to members of the studio audience during the commercial breaks. Nickelodeon often showed him tapes of the Eure version of FK for him to observe hosting styles as they wanted... not sure why he quit (or was fired).

  • He got fired because of a Incident were he swore on air. Also because of a slime incident on stage. Eure had a good run

  • Are you talking about Michael Carrington or Wesley Eure being fired? This is the first I've heard of this... I did hear something about Mike Carrington doing a somewhat bad-taste Swedish impression on an episode of TF that was offensive, but any swearing or such could have (and probably would have) been edited out of the studio master before it aired.

    Remember Kirk Fogg's "Oh Sh-t! he's tired!"?

  • YES! I remember Kirk Fogg saying that!

  • Eure said a swear. It wasnt edited out until the 15th time on GaS

But yeah nickeoldeon has a filthy mouth

  • This was the first year they were in Orlando.

  • do you have any more episode of think fast?

  • @gr2180 more like the only year lol

  • And oh yeah...there were no stopdowns in between stunts on the Lackey version; the contestants go straight to another stunt ready to go.

  • skip was one of the zaniest hosts, but he always stuttered since he relied too much on cue cards

  • makes u wonder how much better he would've been without em.

  • I think the reason Skip Lackey stuttered was because he was maybe a little nervous before the show started.

  • So, gr2180, how is your......fiance?

  • my daughter was on the blue team with Justin..in the late 80s..had tape and it broke..her name is Kim..anyone have it??

  • oh and just so you know, this is booboo900

  • i'm talking about nickelodeon's cartoons lily

  • The "Red Herring"?

  • he's smells

  • Red Herring: something intentionally misleading

The anonymous tip turned out to be a 'red herring' for the detective.

(oh god i sound like a teacher. HELP!)

  • you don't understand. the fact that the cartoons have always been way more popular than the game shows is what i'm basing that on. and it IS a shame

  • only because they r both actual words

  • and actually there's a problem, because bob and sue (although they are proper names) are both in the dictionary.

  • ie: BOBbing for apples and I'll SUE you

  • Now THIS is what nickelodeon should be! today's kids are so friggin lazy all they care about is stupid cartoons like spongebob

  • That is not true. Actually, today's kids are more active and intelligent in the real world more than ever, and getting better everyday. Just because a cable network has a different program lineup than it did years ago, it doesn't mean that kids are lazy.

  • Intelligent is debatable, but lazy makes a lot of sense. Whereas young kids were more physically stimulated with outdoor activity, and teens more involved with after school and community activities, they are now more pampered, and have succumbed to lives of TV, video games and computers at an alarming rate. Granted, we were already headed in that direction back in the 80s.

  • Some kids watch funny cartoons Like The Simpsons.

  • SPONGEBOB, SCHMONGEBOB!

  • This is what Nickelodeon was like before it turned into the cartoon network. Long live classic Nick!
