Ive been a rangers fan since i could talk and ive never been more excited 2 have him back wit drury lundqvist jagr and gomez just 2 name a few. I love my Sens but I will always be a Ranger fan. God, I am excited to see this team this year. 94 was too long ago. All the talent that has come and gone since that season..just remember every dog has his day. Still, I think Ottawa is the most clever team to watch in the entire NHL. Emery is an outstanding goaltender and Spezza, Alphie, Heatly, Volchenkov....they are all truly amazing!

Drury and Gomez are American heroes, but NYR overreached this off-season. They'll end up ruing the day they parted with Nylander (Jagr's glue) and went to arbitration with Lundqvist (making him a UFA next year). Shanny's a legend, by the way, and provides this sqaud with needed adult supervision.

I totally agree, it is sad the way the US treats hockey. I grew up on Long Island in the early 80's. I can remember when the Islanders wre bigger than the Mets AND Yankees in NY. In America we have the bandwagon Phenomena. If one team in the US can dominate the NHL consistantly for a couple of years in a row, you can surely bet the networks will take their head out from up their asses.

Hopefully for New York they'll bring up Al Montoya from the farm team, he was their first pick in 04 (6th overall) and is the heir apparent to Lundqvist. He's put solid numbers in the AHL so they probably want to give him some big game experience. Look for him to take the spot in training camp.
