  • @TheOriginal3P it's surprisingly less strenuous on your eyes than the original gba.the screen is spectacular, in fact.

  • i have seen a kid wit tat

  • @Sicowkaksin where have you been? LMAO

  • Thumbs up if you thought a screamer was gonna come.

  • @aaron1afi Oh

  • lol i remember years ago when i had one. i really regret trading it back in lol.

  • When did gameboys look like that? o.o

  • @Sicowkaksin they came out in 2005 but they just got overshadowed by the Nintendo DS

  • 288 broked their game boy becuz of ur site

  • It makes them all go faster.

  • Does it make every game go faster, or does it in some cases merely improve how much the console can handle?... Like get rid of slowdowns in some parts of a game for instance...

  • OH MY GOD

  • It's just ad

  • this game boy is better than my PC XD

  • @jowrab I'm sad to say...nope,I actually own one.

  • omg! that was my first gba game!!

  • This is really useful. Now I don't have to sit through boring text to play Pokemon.

  • I have this game, it doesn't work anymore though. I think it's when my sister blowed in it...blowing in a cartridge actually damages the cartridge...

  • @Xludo73GoEco Not technically true, most cartridges won't play without blowing into them....it removes very small dust particles in the cringes of the memory board....As long as you don't spit all over the thing when you blow than it'll be fine...

  • @ZeroShaneBob When you blow into the cartridge though, It corrodes the circuits with dust obviously. It's true It ruins the cartridge so then you have to clean out the dust created in the cartridge somehow. I tried using a thin cloth but I don't know if it'll work again yet. I used to always blow in my cartridges, It damn glitched up my games. Now I don't blow in them, My games are working with no glitches or freezes at all. See the difference?

  • dude you got it out of a fucking cerial box it sucks

  • but will it blend?

  • can you play gameboy and gameboy color games on it

  • @DsRaikage3D no. unfortunatly not

  • its called removing the game cartrage

  • what soposed to happen

  • whag

  • STREET FIGHTER OVERCLOCKED FTW

  • neat

  • i have one its pretty cool, even now cuz its so small

  • yeah i have the same colors :D haha

  • What's the point, honestly?

  • @ZXRulezzz Your question is rather open, so I'll answer two questions which this could mean:

"What's the point of this console?" It was probably made smaller to fit in your pocket.

"What's the point of this video?" This is Youtube, when was there ever a point?

  • i o/ced my digital clock..

i will upload a video of that, now it counts a lot faster so the time runs faster..

    ...

  • Uninformative video

  • it takes $400,000 to overclock a gameboy advance micro for 12 seconds!

  • What's this do to temperature or battery life? If Nintendo could safely clock the GBA much higher, why didn't they and make more graphically intensive games?

  • Best Handheld Evaah!!, It can Play Call Of Duty MW 2 on Max and Crysis on max with 60 FPS

  • he just speed the video up and slowed it down

thumbs up if you agree :D

  • wat ever happeneedd to tht thing

  • i bet its more powerfull than a alienware ALX desktop lolz

  • i always hate it cuz you cant get new plates once yours gets all scratched yup

  • he makes the game look faster by pressing L R

  • The Micro was badass. Bitches don't know.

  • @RedtheGhost

oooh... What a system... Even for it's time.. it was for fanbois... while the casual gamers and even those who loved to play all the systems wouldn't bother so much because the GBA did everything it did, and even the GBA SP (for those wanting a more packable shape and better back-lighting.

It's just a waste of a system, and considering over all. I'd take a psp 1000 over a GB micro. Same risks to mod it, more reward for the PSP.

Why buy a system that adds nothing new.

  • @KernsNoel The PSP is hilariously bad. If I was going to buy something for the sake of modding it, I'd buy something badass like the Open Pandora, where I can work with the Linux platform from the get go and even have the backing of the company that manufactures them.

  • @RedtheGhost

Considering this is Honest the first time I've even heard of 'Open Pandora' and the fact it's brand new, only proves how long the psp lasted, before someone made a handheld that's more of a PDA (with games in mind) then gaming hand held.

*shrugs* Though, linux is for those who like it. and That's what Open pandora runs. I'm curious if it could Emulate a PSP. Though that still doesn't make it desirable (Even if it could)

Besides you have to list something easier to get..

  • @RedtheGhost PSP gamer here. 32 GB memory stick with 25 high budget games from the likes of Sony, Capcom, Konami, etc., and a library of every NES, SNES, and GBC/A game worth playing, which all run full speed. I suppose I could load up mupen64plus and try to map my keypad correctly so I could play N64 games on the go (I already do it on my crunchbang box), but honestly, the PSP is just fine since I have access to PSP games. And a small sleek mp3 player.

  • @jvdthwip wahhhh i didnt know psps can support over 8GB memory card. u need to hitme up with some links sometime soon, holmes. ;)

  • @jvdthwip Fanboy much? Lol,

NO way is the Psp a "small" or even "sleek" it's barely small enough to fit in one's pocket, plus when i had mine i found that the sound quality and volume was garbage, Even with good headphones >.>

    FAIL

  • @cptultor for one, it depends on what model psp you have, the psp slim and go can easily fit into your pockets and are nice and sleek, it should easily fit unless your a person who likes to wear nut huggers. only problem with sound is that it might not be loud enough. they give you the option to change the sound settings. so

    FAIL.

  • @cptultor the 3000 has awsome sound and its easily fit in a regular size pcket true with orginal psp you needed a backpack for it but the 3000 and the go are about ds size

  • i want 19 seconds of my life back!

  • Forgot about the micro.

  • where can i get a gameboy advanced micro?

  • @PerplexityStudios yah i know dude not like ill play it but i could re program it and mod it and like put it in a sumthin and it would be ausome

  • @warthog570 yeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhh i cant do shit like that! XD lol

  • i want my 19 second back

  • i want my 19 second bak

  • I WANT ONE !!!!!!!!!

  • @hemirox33 LOL

  • @hemirox33 - only if you turn AA off - the resolution is way too high!

  • @hemirox33 LOL< XD

  • @hemirox33

    Mine can.

  • @hemirox33

    indeed it can

  • @hemirox33 haha crysis is nouthing compered to metro 2033

  • @hemirox33 I love you

  • @hemirox33 yes i tried it works also on maxed out

  • @hemirox33 i have a 1.66 ghz laptop that can play crysis at full settings, admitidly when it was released it may have been pretty demanding to run, but now a smartphone could run it.

i think gamers really need a new benchmark :/

  • @hemirox33 Crysis Fuck no that thing runs Crysis 2 Ultra settings x 16 AA

  • @hemirox33 yes

  • @hemirox33 IT CAN RUN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT IN CRYSIS 2 MAXED OUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hemirox33 jajjajajajaja como me cague de risa con eso

  • @hemirox33

    Hope so.

  • wasted 19 seconds of my life

  • bull shit

  • I regret not having that crappy little thing!

  • What the hell? Why would you bother wasting time and skill on Gameboy MICRO. It's a POS system that was never needed. the GBA was never in need of the redesign.

Not Only that, but if your into Hacking and modding handhelds. The PSP is the best way to go. You can play games from more then just one place, and sheesh it's just better for that kind of person who likes to have custom handhelds.

(The DS games being an exception)

  • @KernsNoel Sony Fanboy?

  • @degraff314159

Not so much, as more practical. it takes the same amount of risk modding the Psp software, and you get so much more for it.

Besides I had always hated the gameboy micros, it's like wtf.. I don't wanna stare at that tiny screen to play my games and read the text.

Sure it takes talent to make those mods, but at what point do you go, it's pointless. It achieved nothing that had not been done on other handhelds and comp systems.

  • @degraff314159

Maybe I should be a bit more clear on what I mean. I don't just game with a handheld if I can help it. I would LOVE for the next gen hand helds to come out and blow my mind, no matter the company.

Though just like dogs, sometimes small is to fisking small. I Believe the GBA was great the way it was, it fit into most hands comfortably and the screen was just right for the unit.

Bah. I swear Nintendo is going to screw everyone with tiny screens on purpose.

  • @KernsNoel

Seeing as the screens on the DS have gotten progressively LARGER, I doubt that's the case.

  • @RedtheGhost

Oh yes, slightly larger. I'm not going to bang on the DS screen size, because of how the system works. Though I do believe it was a mistake to make it folding, that's justa personal view on handhelds.

  • @KernsNoel Folding protects the screens and makes it more portable. The thing would be giant and ugly if it didn't fold up.

  • @RedtheGhost

not saying it doesn't do that. Just *shrugs* I'm not against them.. I just don't prefer them folding parts don't like me to much.

  • @KernsNoel Aye, they do tend to have problems after a while. I've never had it happen with an SP, though. The DS dropped the Game Boy name, though; and with it, the Game Boy's durability. It's a real shame, those things were fucking tanks, even when they shrunk in size.

  • Comment removed

  • how much did that cost? $1?

  • @RealisticCoke nope like 50$ useless little peices of shit don't ya think

  • Shittiest thing ever from Nintendo.

  • @Krckle Virtual Boy

  • @Krckle Virtual boy called

  • I can't see that you demostrate overclocking

  • IT REAL

  • what is overlocked?

  • In what way does this make the games better?

  • wow awsome graphics!

  • Just got a micro from gamestop used but it was in perfect condition except no charger :( and i got the mario kart game your playing the guy was so suprised they had the gameboy micro still

  • that 1st game system thats smaller then your hand

  • @MultiMarx321 well the first official one :P

  • Don't see the point. GBA games are developed to run on normal 'conditions' not overclocked conditions.

  • how to?

  • the only reason i liked this device was back when i was in high school, i could hide it much easier while playing golden sun or fire emblem in the back of trig class haha

  • @Taka014 rofl

  • lol i have one :P

  • No, totally not pointless.

  • koo

  • i want one!!

  • so fake notice how all "overclocked" vids have mario kart

  • @GustavoMorenoo Follow the link in the description. He goes into detail on how to perform the mod yourself. Nothing fake here, just simple electronics :)

  • Epic

  • @ducksoda I think about 4-7 years ago they made these so minis cause apparently the so wasn't small enough but that's my theory I may be wrong but I had one and gave it to my cousin

  • where do you get this ive never seen one in stores

  • @ducksoda there not in stores anymore because they came out EXACTLY when the ds lite cameout....most people who play the handhelds will go for the newer cooler generation which is the sleeker ds lite with its touch screen and almost 3d tech, plus at the time gameboy was dying so it just got seen away...till from what i saw this year (since most people are getting bored with ds and missing gameboy) they are finding the micro appealing hell even i own one annd i jizz on myself everytime i play it!

  • @Hariuka no they didnt :)

  • @parkourcheesecake yes they did =), thats why there is barely any of the micro's you see, and also why gameboy games been stopped at 2006. NERD POWER HIGH FIVE!

  • @Hariuka the gameboy micro came out in 4 november 2005 i think you'll find, the dslite came out on.. the 23rd of june 2006 i remember as i got both consoles on the day of release? just to prove my fanboyism the wii came out on 8th of december 2006 :D also the original ds, to prove youve had no mix ups was released on march 11th 2005.

  • @parkourcheesecake oh damn im sorry I didnt look at it right on date, all I know is it got killed off by ds mostly and that I love my micro more then my dslite (gave to gf) and my dsi!, Glad to know there other fanboys out there Nintendo is a great company

  • @Hariuka i traded my micro in for my ds lite :( i want another one >:D they are to damn sexy

  • @parkourcheesecake only thing i hate about my micro is the fact there are NO FACEPLATES AND MINE HAS A NASTY SCRATCH....the rest is gold....gold and beauitful worlllldlddddddddd.....till the scratch

  • @Hariuka did you not use the little pouch thing that came with it? :P and i know :O they failed so badly, ive never actually seen faceplates ever in a shop and when i first got mine i found it quite hard to find no-one was stocking it :O

  • @parkourcheesecake I felt the pouch made me feel "less manly" and I am lazy, Yea I know stupid but still, and yea I just found 8 and its in Britain and god damn you would not believe how much internet searching I had to do bro, it was just unbelievable.....I was sad that they had banners of just hundreds of faceplates and it was just cancelled to point of none, and they just scratch so damn easily too =( sad rant I must say

  • @Hariuka at least you have one :(

  • @parkourcheesecake Check mated

  • traded it for my gbasp then immidiatly traded it back

  • Micros were stupid to begin with, I only knew one person who had it.

  • hardly anyone had these

  • i had this gameboy but the charger broke

  • overclock a micro? pointless much?

  • i forgot those existed lol

  • those things are like only 20$ lol XD

  • i want one =3

  • What exactly happened in the video?

  • He changed the music.

  • @legonerfstarwarsguy He was changing the clockspeeds, You didn't notice that?

  • @legonerfstarwarsguy FPS(Frames per seconds) Is speeded up.

  • @legonerfstarwarsguy

yeah no shit dude WTF are we looking at? it just had mario cart and his index fingers pressing something the music switching to another track. SO WTF! and yet this stupid video got 341,680 views?

  • what is over clocking

  • Is making the processor run above his regular capicity, making the game faster

  • making the timing slow down

    or speed up

  • @frubeman564 it is when you push a computer past its limits, then it will over heat, then you get pissed and think "why did I ever do this to my computer!?!?!?" it is pretty much pointless now but back when computers sucked, it was commonly done by gamers

  • @ThumbsDown112

Where have you been? People do it all the time. Its really cheap to watercool your PC now. You can go from say, 2.6 ghz to 3.2 or 3.4 no problem. Saves you money in the long run.

  • well i am the kind of person who can just buy a 3.4 processor with no trouble at all even higher if i wanted to

  • No offense, but not everyone is rich like you.

And OCing is not done becauyse PCs suck, it's so that instead of wasting $40 more, you can get a higher clocked CPU/GFX for less. My Athlon II is at 3.6GHz and to get the same CPU clock, I'd have to pay $90 when I easily paid $37 for mine. It overheats only if you don't know what you're doing, which if you OC, the you should know that it will produce extra heat.

Try to research before you go around saying it's a waste. Thank you..

  • lol no i am not rich, i can just save up and buy it cause i do not really use my money cause there is nothing i really want to buy

  • @ThumbsDown112, I'm not rich either. I've been saving up for an 8800GT, that thing's been out since I was a freshman in High school. I still can't afford it yet. =[

  • I have found that overclocking CPUs doesn't give you the exact scaled performance that you'd think it would. EG: I oc'd my phenom 9750 (first phenom series not phenom II, very hard to overclock) from 2.4Ghz to 2.76? or 2.73? anyway the very highest limit at which programs and games begun to glitch was about 2.8Ghz, so I use 2.73. Anyway, my games run only a few fps faster, my programs don't open TOO much quicker and overall there's MUCH more of a noticeable difference when you just buy a new cpu

  • And I even did it with my old pentium 4 3.2Ghz cpu and pentium dual core 2.8Ghz AND pentium dual core 3.0Ghz and while they showed MUCH more potential in overclocking, they still actually made many programs and games run at non-linear speeds and irratic performance etc..

I found that overclocking was equally bad in that it brings differing results.. All in all, it can improve performance but not by anywhere NEAR as much as even just the next step up.

  • If getting the most out of your hardware and cash is pointless then yes I agree.

  • in the end you will spend more money because your processor will be fried

  • @ThumbsDown112 - only if you're dumb enough to overvolt it without knowing what you're doing.

  • Buy a mini fan to blow air on your computer...problem solved. Costs less than any processor for your computer would.

  • why

  • @nachoz12341 why indeed..

  • @nachoz12341 what?

  • @nachoz12341 just a simple word can generate so many thumbs up

  • @HeadShoht Hehehe, So very True.

  • @HeadShoht FAAAAAAAAAAAAIILL!!!!! :D

  • @HeadShoht you have 69 likes ;D

  • im a 2600 refugee look up super 8 bit brother's song

  • Yeah wow. I overclocked my PSP.

But because console games are standardised to work on the same hardware, it makes no difference whatsoever =D

Overclocking your PC can be useful though...

  • overclocking is when you make a component in a cpu work harder than it should, this is not usually good for components because it will over heat and usually become useless.

  • @puregenius09 incorrect. the designer puts a governor on the cpu so that it doesnt reach its potential. that way, it doesnt get as hot (which generally isnt a problem for handheld devices, Ive overclocked every psp Ive owned) and preserves battery life. overclocking simply allows the devices to run to its potential limit, and not the limit the designer throws onto it

  • @puregenius09 not exactly, that might be true for computers, but in simpler things like gameboys the clock just keeps the time for program loops, changing the clock speed just speeds up the program, if you push it too far it might not finish its commands before the next clock pulse which would cause it to crash. that doesn't break it, it just means the program hangs. in computer overclocking it usually involves increasing the voltage to the CPU which can burn it out.

  • @puregenius09 Well, that may be true for most computers, but if you have correct cooling, you can clock it, you can clock some AMD processor / motherboard to about 6 Ghz and cool it with liquid nitrogen, and it would be fine if you did it right.

  • @puregenius09 get a very good heatsink
