It´s interesting to see this. Considering that fact that it was made just 34 years after the publishing of the book. Which meant of course that many of these actors were alive in 1886! (and must have remembered what it was like in those days.) ( if you compare with the 1941 version with Tracy and Bergman the difference is striking.)
The movies-- especially this one--, and the 1886 novel they're based upon are awesome! My advice: STAY away from the INFAMOUS NES game! It is, in my opinion, the worst game ever made!

It's very strange to watch these movies from the 20s and 30s and know that none of these actors are alive today.

Worse than E.T. that was so bad that they had to bury millions of copies in the desert?

Haven't played ET when I posted my message but heard about its crap factor, but both games redefine the word "bad" to a whole new level.

The game DJaMH is pretty bad, E.T. is about the same, but the REAL worst game in existence is Plumbers Don't Wear Ties on the 3DO.

if you even call that a "game"!

John Barrymore was the greatest actor of his generation. Here you can see him in his prime. Many thanks for putting this up.

Even though it looks primitive by today's standards think how wonderful and advanced it must have looked to audiences in 1920! Thanks for adding it!
