Fios sucks i can only get 2 or 3 bar connections on xbox with and ethernet cable running through my entire house.

the modem connection is a basic cable modem...the cable connected to it is copper not optical. Its called coaxial cable. that gets connected to the ONT which translates that into light and sends it through the fiber optic cable...

@DangerousPirate None really, the wires, splitters etc were free. I wouldn't even suggest a universal remote because the Fios worker (SHOULD) program all the options on the remote. As for equipment? Um...a 42in Sony Bravia? That's what I'm watching my stuff on in this vid. Jk, if you're TV is HD ready, and is HDMI ready, Fios also offers HDMI cables for free (at least they should). Just to throw that out there as well.

@DatKidOhmie I hooked up my 360 with an extension cable because I didn't buy a wireless adapter for it. The wire was about 15-20 feet and worked fine. Sorry this reply came so late i'm sure you figured it out by now. Anyways, I had no lag and I had quick connections to lobby's and jumped in games quick. The wireless router that Verizon offers does it's job as a high-end router. Ps3 and Xbox 360 plays online awesomely, I can't tell if there's any lag coming from me, if any.

And I use internet /TV/phone as average user, and to me there is no dramatic/extreme difference about quality/speed. If you looking for company which is more reliable and customer friendly who makes happen what they say choose company other than Verizon.

When I canceled Verizon service I have been told that I own them $112.XX and $200.00 cancellation fee. February bill come $90.XX when I call I have been told wait for final bill . March I received bill which said $-47.XX and in APRIL I received CHECK FOR $47.XX ..from VERIZON

It was quiet for few weeks and than CALLECTION AGENCY CALLED TO CALLECT $360.XX do to UNPAID VERIZON BILLS. I say VERIZON SUCKS !!!!

I had optimum for 3 years first 12 months was exactly $96.30 as they said, next year went up $20 but I knew it. I had no problems for 3 years than yearly bill increase . I switch to FIOS 3play for $96 ending up paying $135 for 3 months and around $122.XX there after. I didn't receive promised $100 gift card and after 1year I decide to cancel services and comeback to OPTIMUM. VERIZON screw up bills for 3 months and sent their problem to Collection Agency. I say STAY from Verizon AWAY"

Verizon Fios sales are a joke. The DVR is only capable of recording 20 HOURS of HD! they told us 50 Hours!

The picture is fuzzy, if you have directv or dish, you will be thoroughly disappointed.

and the promo prices are BS!!, you will be promised one price by the salesman, however, you will be paying a fortune for inferior service. The picture is worse on HDTV's!

save yourself the headache. I expect a wave of lawsuits by DA's allover the country. Once you sign, you are screwed $30 in taxes

@kenzbt I have to admit it is a great picture. More vivid than anything else. But directv has them in HD clarity on some channels. The real gripe I had was how the $89.99 promo was a lie by the salesman. He failed to disclose $50/month in costs, and never mentioned the taxes added on.

eg- $6 per box, $20 for DRV, $20 in taxes, $4 cable license fee and on and on... it added up to over $150 bucks a month. Yeah fios is great but a lot more expensive too,. if salesman was honest, it would be A-

@kenzbt also the way overhyped and BS "on-demand" feature is so F'en useless it is hilarious. 95% of the content on it comes at a charge. You can get all your content from many internet sites including youtube. I have used it maybe 2x since I got fios.

Facebook on fios tv is a joke... I can navigate facebook better from my droid than I can via fios. Also, the only reason VZ is giving customers sites like FB & YT is because they know the kick-as$ Google Box is coming soon..... hah google win
