Or ... number five .. we could say that Babylon is the "great city" (Rev. 14:18) -- where where also our Lord was crucified (Rev. 11:8) that is Jerusalem, which was attacked by Nero (the Beast) and literally did fall in John's day.

@jcr4runner This is absolutly correct, Rev. 11:8 startles the thinking of most dispasastionalists. Consider also that harapolis was a city in the Roman empire where either tribute was paid to ceasar upon entry and a mark placed upon your hand in order to buy or sell or if you entered the city and refused you were crucified. Nasty!
