Is this the hammock that has the one side that's longer so you can throw it over yourself at night? If not, do you happen to know if that's a feature of any of the ENO products?
@cwrunnel I really like them, but they do stretch a bit. Using them makes the hammock crazy fast to hang. There are other options, but I like the slap straps the best.
I've been using my double nest for about 5 years now. I've added the bug net and a tarp so I have a complete 4 season system (for Georgia..) I love this set up and prefer it over any tent/tarp for solo backpacking trips. I replaced the steel carabiner with a light weight black diamond to save some ounces. My 50+ year old knees appreciate anything I can do for them. The best thing is I pack the basic hammock and straps everywhere I go and as a result, I've always got a place to relax.
How comfortable is it for 2 people. I'm really torn right now between buying two hammocks (one for me and one for the wife) or buying a double like the one featured. I can't help but feel that 2 singles would be more comfortable. And if you've been on the trail for a few days...I'm not sure cuddling is really the best thing to do. ha ha ha. But seriously...how comfy is it for 2 people?
@KorbanD I know I am the guy selling them, but I would highly recommend getting two of them. Sitting or lounging with two people is fine, but you will be spooning (very tightly) the whole night if you plan on sleeping in one.
@goingprepared - That falls in line with everything I've been reading over the past couple days. All things considered - a second ENO hammock isn't such a terrible expense. I found a couple bug cocoons that are big enough to fit two hammocks in, so I'm just working out the logistics in my head. Great video - thanks so much for the info!
@lucasgraffiti The hammock is $65, straps are $25. There are other options from them as well, including rain flies, smaller hammocks, mosquito nets, and other stuff.
@StrykingHawk Haha, yeah, I'm working on it. The camping vids are a little tougher because I have to take at least a day off from Going Gear, which is not very feasible at the moment.

vaxcave 1 month ago
@vaxcave You can do that with the Double Nest or Double Nest Deluxe just because of the width.

Hey, do you highly recommend the slap straps for the price, or is it just as efficient to rope it?

Can you do a review on the ENO double nest deluxe?
soldier715 9 months ago
@soldier715 It's the same thing, just wider. I probably won't be doing a review of it anytime soon.

Show us how easy it is to break down, please. (It looks tough getting it back in the bag without getting a whole lotta dirt in there with it!)
mrmonkeyman50 1 year ago
@mrmonkeyman50 I didn't even think about that, but it is super easy. You just keep one end attached and start stuffing away. Takes maybe 30 seconds.
goingprepared 1 year ago
@goingprepared LOL... yes, it SOUNDS easy! Next time you break it down, could you show us? :o)
