Well I believe that the Egyptians were black (this is my opinion) and even if they weren't we know that they were not white. Well my grandmother has read every bible know to man at least two times and i believe that she knows what she is talking about. A 'belief', without empirical evidence, cannot be 'rational'. Aquinas is perhaps the best example of a reasoned 'proof' of god, but it relies on an originating precept - faith ie belief, and as such the argument is within a closed system and circular - so in the end, not 'rational'... no 'belief' of god can be.

I understand just fine how religion works, it relies on the emotive and psychological need of (generally uneducated) people to explain things in a finite manner, as such the infinite that the religious as so keep to tout is actually the product of a finite system of thought. By explaining away ONE thing as infinite one avoids the unnerving thought that not everything can be explained from within the system being observed.

The exodus supposedly happened over a thousand years before Christ was born so there is nothing about "telling the future". Also, as I stated previously, there are good non-biblical reasons for finding chariots in the red sea. I also mentioned the Council of Trent... if you do not know what that is, then you have no right to speak on this topic. And yes, I HAVE given the best reason for chariots found in the red sea... floods. Floods are very common, they pull a lot of things into the sea, and have pulled everything into the see including chariots and their riders.

And The Jews at at Elephantine owned Egyptian slaves. Data from the 1990 and early 2000's show the people who built the pyramids were paid workers.
