Yes, from what I've heard it's generally one tracer for every 2-3 normal bullets. A lot of times they still shoot them with tracers in war zones. And I was just stating what an ENEMY might happen to be thinking.

I was a 16R020 stationed in germany. Sp rule, But towed vulcans SUCK!!! Takes too long to emplace, And they always get stuck. The M163A1's were the best,They had flotation panels that kept you from sinking during river crossings.( in theory). In the 9 years i served on active duty, I never saw one swim!
