If the smoke were bluer, I'd bet it was a 318 Detroit Diesel.

It's sort of nostalgic for me, I use to drive a truck with the 318 in it. I had to cover the headlights so it wouldn't see the hills coming.

Poster, I have some Detroit Diesel stickers you could put on the side of your truck. I'm sure you would fool about 95 out of 100 people that have ever heard a Detroit Diesel 318. Sounds cool!

@bbkrsk8r6 lol people like you crack me up...I have owned Chevys and fords and dodges and Ford by far has been much tougher than the other two. Chevys are good for street use and doge....well lets just say only good thing dodge has ever done was put a cummins in there trucks. My Ranger has over 200k miles on it and still has no problum Hauling a load of firewood with a trailor loaded down with fresh cut Birch.

Question: It is true duals? If no, what did you do about the 3" inlet on the muffler and the original exhaust piping being smaller than that, I wanna say it 2.25"? And what size is your outlet on the muffler?

sounds nice and deep, I have a 95 Explorer with a 4.0 and im about to put a super 44 on it. Its not going duels just single but I have learned from expierience on V6 engines you cant really tell much of a diffrence in sound or in power gains (go to big of pipe on a V6 duels and loose air flow)so unless its a v8 I stick with single in duel outs or a single all the way, Any ways sounds good dude.

Ya it is got it the day after they came out, costed me $200 w/ pipe&tips. So beileve or not but its got a super 44 in there.
