In reality, she married a minister. The doctor is a fictional character, which Catherine Marshall came up with after seeing a man on a plane; a stranger she never even spoke to. I love that!
I was born when this was on but I bought the series because I liked Kellie on Mystery Woman. I'm a guy & this is kind of a chick film but I like Kellie & my girlfriend likes her from Mystery Woman & we watch it together. My girlfriend is really hot & she thinks I'm really nice for buying it for us but either her mom or my mom will come in & watch it too so that stinks because our moms allow cuddling in our houses but no kissing. So don't buy it for that because other people will watch.
"Christy", the character is never shown to end with either one, but Catharine Marshall's mother whom the character is written from, does marry the minister. She says that in her other books. Sorry. :)
I was very disappointed. which is why I like fantasy instead of reality.
This is what is nice about fiction. It can have the ending as many would have liked it to be. Reality is what it is, but not always what we would have chosen. :)
Great video. I know in real life the Christy character married the minister, but in this adaptation it had to be the doctor all the way. Probably because of who they had playing Dr. McNeil. No one better. And another said it well.....Kellie Martin made her role and it just couldn't be remade by someone else. Enjoyed this video!!
yes the person Catherine Marshall based the Character of Christy Married the Minister.. There was no Doctor in real life.. However in the book it is fairly clear that she was ment to be with Neil
which one of the new movies is it that chirsty is in neil's cabin during a storm and one of them is sick and the other has to nurse them back to health?
Hi :) Yeah, the original series had a cliffhanger ending. In the novel she chooses Neil (although he's a widower who has become a Christian in the original story) A few years after the show was cancelled, another producer made three telemovies. Google 'Christy DVDS' and the titles 'Return to Cutter Gap' and 'Choices of the Heart' for ordering information. I love the original series the most, but there are some great scenes in the follow-up films.
i have the christy's series and on the box it says the complete series and well theres no wedding in any of them where christy gets married. the last one is called the road home and it doesnt even show which one she chooses. so is it a different dvd set? or what? i would appricieate the help!!
thanks! i like all of your videos. i just starteatching this show. i've finished watchingchristy when kellie martin plays her. i like it when she plays christy much better. :) i was sad when it ended and i didnt get o see who she married.
It's called 'Second Sight.' David knocks him out because he doesn't want Neil (who's been drinking after receiving a letter from Margaret) and Nathan Stone (businessman dancing with Christy) to have a huge fight in front of the Cove.
It's Beautiful. Thank You! I love the shots of them as a married couple with the baby. I love his kilt in the wedding picture! :) Neil is a brawny man. He deserves Christy. Thank You for thier happy ending.
Whose baby is she taking care of?

WHAT?! She marries the minister?! Says who?! It's not in the book or the tv series, is it? It doesn't show whether or not Neil lets Margaret stay.
allieluvsmusic9 2 years ago
@allieluvsmusic9 she doesnt stay. theres 3 more movies only christy is played by lauren lee smith and she marries the doctor. ignore these people

Did you buy the other movies or did you record them from the television?
Padme1992 3 years ago
I bought them. The series is distributed by Fox. The telemovies are distributed by Hallmark or Word - depending on your hemisphere...
