  • LOVE this music video.

  • Definition of an artist.

  • His voice does sound a bit like his father's.

  • beautiful

  • 1:37 ... *happiness thrash*

  • Saw this guy open for Eddie Vedder a few years ago and he gave one of the best live performances I've ever seen. Amazing stage energy.

  • this song is fucking sick. i think i caught a cold on this motherfucker. although id reccommend you people to see him break the percussion on the david letterman show. fucking awesome.

  • I heard this song at the perfect time at Big Lots one day, helped me through many dark mornings.

It still gets stuck in my head.

  • They play this all the time where I work (one of the only good songs on that playlist)...so glad I remembered to look it up!

  • Wow, very like his dad's music, especially the stuff from Finn brothers and even like Split Enz to a degree. That was most unexpected, but not in a bad way. Love Neil Finn.

  • Fuckn Playing live at the zoo Cbd Dayum that would be such a good hustle!

  • United States of Tara send me here :)

  • @paul0o93 lol

  • With a different set of lyrics, this could easily become a Flight Of The Conchords song ...and that's a GOOD thing!

  • he's deffinately going his own way away from his dad and uncle, completely different sound except for the voice of course, excellent!

  • Saw him on a pbs channel in Denver...he was great. I like this alot. :)

  • Bloody marvelous, and I'm a Metalhead.

  • I have the exact same name as him, Liam Finn. He's giving the name a good reputation with his music lol

  • his music and his voice - it's so perfect!

  • This song regularly plays on the "muzak" channel where I work. I whistle along when it's on and it's taken me a year to finally understand 1 line i could use to look it up. I'm really surprised it's a guy! I thought it was like the indigo girls or something! lol

  • he sounds remarkably like Brett from Flight of the Conchords

  • @CinemaNinjaStudios Dont shave then.

  • privalage to have found this song

  • I LOVE Xavier Rudd! and thank you :) I love the song Pollen by Mirah but you can't find any very good versions of it on here. There's one that is a school group singing it and it gives you a pretty good idea of what the real song sounds like. I also like Ben Folds - You don't Know Me At All and Losing Lisa. Check those ones out if you haven't heard of them and I'll look at yours :) thanks for sharing music with me!

  • wow, my ex boyfriends are called liam and finn...

but this is a good song <3 haha

  • @ RunTobyRun try out Great Lake Swimmers-Your Rocky Spine, Bowerbirds-In Our Talons, Horse Feathers-Working Poor, The Bear That Wasn't-The Raindrop Ballad, Fleet Foxes-Your Protector and The Duchess And The Duke-Reservoir Park. Those (and this) are some of my favorites. Tell me which ones you like and which ones you don't and I can give you more suggestions :)

  • @PrettyPennyHammer you have great taste. I'd also recommend Xavier Rudd- Messages, State Radio-Keepsake, and Lhasa de Sela- Fool's Gold

  • I really love this song! (and the video too!)

  • looks like Ryan Dunn

  • @kleezer Looks like Neil Finn more ;)

  • @kleezer RIP

  • He's like a hipster, but talented.

  • @ revup67

  • the video editing is incredible..wow

  • Im looking for new bands or artists to get into- i like him, any other suggestions?

  • Have a listen to Missy Higgings

  • @SweeterthnU96 check out "the national" (fav songs: apartment story and fake empire)....maybe the funeral by band of horses, young folks by peter bjorn and john

  • love it! just a great folk-rock-pop song. But the best song on the album is definately "wide awake on the voyage home". anyway, it's a great album, i'm glad i've discovered him

  • Dude i saw him at Pearl Jam on Sunday..... so good

    Psychedelic mother bitch

  • Who knew someone with such a babyface could have a kid who grows such an epic beard later in life?

  • Love this song, the entire album is terrific. There is no denyying his history has imparted strength on his sound.

  • betchadupa for ever!!!!!!

  • if you've got a second, you should check out the videos i have for a local chicago band called "tin tin can". they're fantastic. thanks!

  • I love this whole album. The lyrics are so amazing!

  • He is amazing!

  • He sounds like how I imagine it would sound if his dad and Elliott Smith collaborated. I quite like it. I am a huge fan of his father and uncle, so I unfairly thought he was riding on their coat tails. I admit it; I was wrong and unjust in my initial assessment. The boy has clearly got plenty of his own talent.

  • incredibly the first time i heard this i automatically thought about elliot smith!

  • @AngryShutIn wow man, rarely does anyone admit they were wrong....ESPECIALLY on the internet. I'm proud of you!

  • Love the sound.

We need more musicians like this.

  • geez he sounds like his dad

  • @someonegetsteve I am really fuck-tarded. but who is his Dad? Love this song and most of this singer's other stuff.. what am I missing?

  • @yyorkethehumble it's Neil Finn, al la Crowded House.

  • @someonegetsteve Reminds me more of Tim to be honest ;)

  • @someonegetsteve Yeah cuz Im sure thats how he will want to be remembered.

  • Great Song

  • NZ Music?

Wasn't he born in Aus? ;-)

  • He was born in Aus but raised in NZ...

He considers himself a Kiwi more than Aussie... I think.

    Great music, regardless.

  • Great song, video doesn't really go with the lyrics.

  • clueless its a video on the cheap jog on

  • Awesome mate.

    Love New Zealand Music!!!!

    Magic

  • <3 Brilliant!!!!

  • i'm loving this song.

  • he's AMAZING live... if anyone gets the chance... GO!

  • this song is awesomee. :)

  • a brilliant song, It sure is a second chance, a second chance for greatness, second chance for everything

  • Love it. I want your cd. Keep up the good work.

  • hej...to je fakt narez!!..**Great** ..!!

  • It's a family/friend thing. "This guy" was probably a youngster when he met Eddie Vedder, through his dad, the brilliant Neil Finn. Search for clips of Eddie and Neil together on YT, I've seen 'em on here.

  • yeah i think your gonna be right

  • It's good to see him following the same style of music as his dad, albeit with his own unique flair to it. The Finns are some of the last decent classic pop musicians still active today.

  • pretty damn good for start!! if it's uphill from here what a great career he will have

  • A Couple Of People Sung This Song In My School Assembly, Bloddy Good Song!

  • This is so good!!!!!!!!!! song, music vid everything!!

  • OMG its Ryan Dunn.

  • wtf?! this is not second chance

  • Umm. . . . .

    Then what is it?

  • I searched for the song second chance and got this er... °°°°

  • This is Second Chance.... You must be mistaken.

  • I prefer his live performances.

  • Finn Dynasty

  • Interesting. Looks like unlike some who are only successful because of their last name, Liam Finn has definately inherited his dad and uncle's talent. IMO, he sounds more like Tim than Neil, but still unique in his own right. I've noticed that while Neil's songs are very melodic and straightforward, Liam's songs are more wild and psychedelic, to the point where they almost can no longer be categorised as pop music.

  • hey. SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE SONG!

who goes on youtube to trash videos? LAME. i love this video. I wish I could dance like Liam.

  • You know sometimes these vid come up on recommended for you since it bears some similarities to some other music vid you've watched. So you watch and you form an opinion. What shits me is the way discussion is abandoned and homophobic, trash talking stuff takes the place of serious discussion. Fans cant take the criticism and expect only praise. Read NME or Rolling Stone. Not every fan just gushes with praise; some actually offer constructive criticism.

  • agree. but some people seem to purposely go to artists videos they 'hate' to write trash to piss fans off. criticism is one thing but there are some lame people out there who ruin youtube.

  • Thank you for your intelligent response. The more I listen to this song the better it gets. That's always a good sign since some songs need a bit of effort. I agree Youtube is self moderated and as a result it seems to have become a place in cyber space where anonymity just encourages these random and weird comments.

  • ahah wow u guys r so funny. like honestly im reading the conversation u guys are having and cracking up. ha but anyways this is a really good song i love it :)

  • I saw him in ATL with Ed Vedder last week. Great show. He is a very talented musician... even if this video is a bit odd.

  • To get you hard joshhopp....you love it.

  • Why do you comment on videos you don't like? Why would you search for a video that you're only going to badmouth anyway??? Is it because you have no life and sit at home all day with no friends because nobody likes you?? ... Your youtube channel suggests that......

  • hows this for a youtube channel: go fuck yourself

  • yes, just as i thought, socially abusive, whch generally leads to no friends. Now go make some friends

  • haha! wow, you deduced socially abusive from "go fuck yourself". psychiatrist in the making right here. what tipped you off sigmond?

  • Really, a psychiatrist.... nah, that'd mean that i'd have to talk to people like you all day long, trying to convince you that you have reason to go on, when the truth is that you have no friends. Further proof you have no life=>you respond to all my comments within minutes of them being posted..... PWNED

  • well yes apart from this one, all my other comments are an hour after yours, compared to your mere minutes

  • cos he's fucking amazing, u waste of space

  • I saw him in Nashville last night with Eddie Vedder. Great show.

  • the hangover dude,nz forever

  • saw him last night in Albany. GREAT show

  • Wow.....ur such a genius and a nice guy....let me shake your hand. Pffff.

  • And only fuckfaces and losers like yourself would actually post that shit on a Liam Finn video, so I guess we're even.

  • ooh I forgot what I said! Youtube removed it. please remind me.

  • that "only butt fucking faggots would enjoy this shit"

If they deleted it, they didn't do a very good job, cause I'm reading it right now.

    There you go.

  • haha! awesome. some of my best work

  • Well if that's what you call work.......who am I to judge? Good work then......I guess??

  • cheers grundgefag. have a sweet life

  • im seeing him tomorow night!
