Great job! I love pop diva ballads too! Maybe it's a gay thing, I don't know. Anyway, you have a nice deep singing voice, you sound very much like early to mid 1990's R&B star Keith Sweat. You seem like a really nice guy, the problem is the music industry's "toxic" nowadays. Tina Arena (one of Australia's biggest pop divas) made a point of it at "Tina Arena 2009 with ABC's Talking Heads Part 2 of 3". Not trying to discourage you or anything, just be real careful. @MadonnieSpears Thank you very much for the comments! I really don't know where my niche is in music because my range limits me a lot. I'm not taking vocal lessons at the moment because I can't afford them. I know the kind of music I love to sing is the kind of song I sang here. I practiced a lot, but it had been years since I'd performed in front of other people. What kinds of songs do you think I'd be good singing? I like things with at least a little r&b feel to them.

It truly helps alot when u pick songs that u feel comfortble with and that is in ur range. if u really wanna be that diva however, then work work work hard in ur vocal lessons if ur not a preson that is naturally a powerhouse vocalist. i think u have alot of potential and ur voice is still beauitful. i just think u gotta work on finding ur "niche" and try listening to urself and connect with songs that might fit with u better.

I can't afford vocal lessons at the moment but I sing all the time and I'll definitely never stop. I'm always discovering new things about my voice and which songs are better suited for it. The main reason I chose "Listen" was because of the show. It was for pride week at my university and Listen is all about being heard.

@MadonnieSpears As for the lack of confidence, I felt that as well. There was some there, but not enough. It had been years since I'd performed a song in front of anyone and even then it was new to me, so I still have some work to do there as well, but all in all it was a fun experience. I'd like to ask if there are any songs you can think of that you see going well with my voice? I like sticking to R&B/Contemporary R&B so if that helps you narrow it down I'd definitely like to hear suggestions.

u seemed extremely nervous. I think vocal lessions would help u alot if ur not taking any. Or try to find songs that compliment ur range.I don't get a sense that power house kind of songs work with u. However, if u work hard with the work lessons it just might. Plesae dont take this as me dissing u. I told my young cousin today that u don't have to be a diva and be a powerhouse vocalist to sound beauitful and make a impact.

A few words of advice: Take voice lessons, widen your interests in music(even if it's just in the realm of modern pop), and if your going to experiment with different hairstyles, be sure to have a hat always handy that you can wear...just in case.

Also, I have a very wide interest in music (and it's not just in the realm of pop) so I'm set there, and with my haircolor, I'm not quite sure if you're saying you don't like it or not, but I can say right now that hats don't look good on me at all, almost never...
