the yin and yang symbol seeks all opposites including good and evil.The Kray twins were evil yet worshiped their mother. But wouldn't love be pat of the good? If we really want balance, then there would have to be war. If there was no evil in the world, how would we learn? Also, if there is good in evil, then that means evil is necessary. There may be good we can only find through evil.

A buddhist way of solving that is the concept of emptiness: there is no good and there is no evil. Nothing is intrisically one thing or another.

There is, though, the resemblance of reality in all, so people do suffer from "bad" events and rejoice in "good" events.

That resemblance is all we see until enlightment, so it is emotionally relevant.

That is why we must learn to be peaceful. Only by enforcing peace, can we build the strength to follow the path to enlightment.
