  • Nice build, I myself am building something like this as well. Twin Turbo SBC. I bought a aftermarket block from World Performance, its a 430ci, .300 bore, splined billet caps...the block is suck, at $5K it needs to be but it was worth the cash, a stock block could not hold more than 800-900hp. This way I can pretty much guaranty 1000+ reliably HP! Which is my goal, I want to turn my 4th gen camaro into a ultimate sleeper! Other than the 375 Nittos in the back the car looks no different than rest

  • I wondering if this is a stock or aftermarketblock myself.

  • this engine sounds just like rob halford....

  • Me to plz

  • SWEET CAN U SEND ME A LIST OF PARTS USED

  • So what kind of numbers on the boost? I'm contemplating building a 327 with remote twin turbos. I'm looking for an efficient combo for an all around car( 68 el camino) I'd be ecstatic with hp numbers around 550, thinkin' also FAST EFI. Are the coated bearings a precaution because of heat?

  • Shoulda built a bigblock. Too bad :(.

  • @POPCORN454545 Ummm ya, because a 2000hp small block is not enough for the street!?

  • @jtheaceman Tell me witch one sounds cooler? Big block. Witch one is gonna be running longer? Big block.

  • @POPCORN454545 The fact that it's a small block has little to do with sounding cool, a V8 sounds like a V8! bigblock, smallblock, ford, chevy, chrysler. & I have built smallblocks & bigblocks, they all last, just gotta know what you're doing!

  • @POPCORN454545 The big block may sound cooler, but the fact that it's a big block doesn't mean it's going to run longer than a small block. It all depends on how you build them, how it's broken in, and your attention to detail.

  • @eurokid83 That is true, but you're putting more stress on a small block. The big block will still last longer...even if its by a day or 2.

  • beautiful motor. perfect song for this too

  • @kinging9 Thanks

  • what size are those turbos

  • @chevyfeen86 We used a few different turbos from CompTurbo, if i remember we did 76mm 78mm & i think we went up to 84mm. The first dyno runs making big power were done with the 76mm

  • @jtheaceman hey just wondering was this set-up built on a stock block?

  • whats the compression?

  • @408wSTANG This engine is 9.1comp.

  • This engine was built for Lowrider Magazine during Castrol Syntec engine challenge

  • ive been trying to figure out this for a long time im installing t3 turbos on my 355 and i have the drain tube in the oil pan but where do you get the oil from to go into the turbo?

  • @mikewashere01 Dude im doing turbo build on a chevy roller 350. the oil tube for feeding the turbo best spot is right beside your distributor there is a place for a oil sensor, use that hole as it is very close to your oil pump, however install a valve in the line to restrict it a lil bit or your oil wont b circulating the engine as good as it can since the pressure will be going to the turbo...very simple, lots of people recommend this way, good luck.

  • @mikewashere01 You take out one of the oil plugs on the side of the block, and run your lines from there.

  • tig'ing left handed is illegal! nooooo!!! lol

  • Judas Priest Forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hope you calibrated that clickety wrench. if the cross bolting doesn't matter than why does every other engine building article make a point of saying you have to? dibs on the engine non the less. and the song choice :)

  • @thehossman1 If you mean on the main cap itself, then you torque the largest to the smallest bolt or stud. It only showed me torquing the big inner bolts.

  • @jtheaceman cool didn't know that. i have a rebuild manual for Chevy V8's and it says to alternate. this brings another q, how do you guys set the thrust bearing? i've about 3 ways and am curious how you do it.

  • @jtheaceman how do you guys set the thrust bearing?

  • is there something for a 5.7 liter chevy engine

  • love the polished alumium heads

  • how much did that all cost you?

  • do i really have to know math and thins like that to build this baby ?

  • I love the timing cover, who makes it?

  • nice engine and awesome song what is the name and who sings it

  • thats what i want right there....

  • Thats a whole lotta money there. Where do you live again??? LOL.....

  • Ummm... Pakistan!! lol

  • awesome music!

  • 2:27 - My educated guess its used to check piston-to-valve clearance.

  • AFR.

  • they use that to measure piston to valve clearance

  • thats sexy. i hope the engine compartment looks just as good.

as well as the rest of the car.

  • Hate to say it, but that beast is going to kill someone...

  • Who made the Pressure Plenum for the carb...Am building a twn turbo 408 and am looking for a good plenum?

  • it's injected, no carb.

  • wow those heads are so clean! i love the candy red block...great build

  • sweet! could I get a list of the specs for the engine. such as cam specs, and other details, or could I get a link

  • I want one! Umm, where am I to put it... o hai WTB a Monster Truck instead lol!

  • awesome i loved it

  • Are those T4 or T6 divided exh. housings on those turbos?

  • Very nice clean build

  • wonderful job

  • yeah nice looking lol but They sell that custom turbo fold lol I dont have a tig so I bought one a few weeks ago lol I suffer with only mig and arc geerrrrrrr lol... and what car or truck is this going in to

  • Shouldn't you torque the mains from the center out?

    Just curious

  • With individual caps it doesn't matter where you start. If it had a bed-plate or a joined main cap like a mitsu/chrys. 420a 4cyl engine then you torque in a sequence.

  • For you guys that wanted to hear it run i posted a video with sound. It was on the first day we started tuning.

  • bad ass thanks

  • Whats that song name ?

  • Judas Priest......Turbo Lover

  • what compression where you ruinning

  • 9 to 1

  • it would have been cool to hear those blow off valves, instead of judas priest.. but cool motor

  • Check out the new video without music, just the sound of the engine!!

  • h0t r00der heaven.. even have a tig welder.. lol very expensive..lol

g0t to build a 383 bi turbo f0r my siXty nine mAr0.. sS

22 yr old Ase mAster tEc.

  • so why did you go with boost if it was going to handicap you more than you already are with such a big engine. A lot of v8's can make big hp without boost be it easier with turbos or superchargers.

  • The engine wasn't built around their rules, we wanted over 2000hp & didn't care if it won. I wanted to do a turbo 1.6 Honda but we had to stick with the LowRider theme.

  • yeah you guys did an awesome build. what people don't understand about the contest was the rules yeah they made the most hp but they did it with a very big engine a stoker 383 which is a 6.28 liters then there was the penalty of turbos which was a 2x multiplier making it 12.56 liters now doing the math that's only 119hp a liter, AMS's was a 2 liter now that's a 4 liter motor 258hp a liter. All the motor were nasty this was a very cool contest and i just read they are doing another

  • The contest was fun. The winning engine was run at 40lbs of boost, we made our pulls with 10lbs of boost & made more horsepower. The per litter thing was just to handicap us because it was an import contest. Still alot of fun!

  • BADASS DUDE!!! thats cool man 5 stars

  • bad fuckin ass. im in the middle of doing a twin turbo 383 also. what fuel system you got on that

  • on the other vid, i believe it was a complete FAST system. 1600cc injectors (or 1800cc) and dont think it said what size fuel pump

  • It is a Fast fuel injection set up with 1600cc injectors. It was run on an engine dyno with their fuel pump. We were no where near running out of injector even at 1700hp

  • Nice build man

  • Nice choice of sounds again.

Where the hell did you get those wastegates?

  • lowrider finished last in the top shop challedge.

  • We finished last but made the most horsepower using our lowest settings. We didn't expect to do much better.., it was an IMPORT engine competition. The winners made 1035hp at 42#s of boost on 100 octane fuel with a 2.0 Mitsubishi! Our highest horsepower as of now is almost 1700hp on 23#s of boost!

  • Darn tootin' that guy builds import manifolds. The turbo hondas this guy builds are what's REALLY impressive.

  • Beautiful engine... wish I had the money to make my little civic a nice tuner car =(

  • thats sick as fuck, where can i get those manifolds.. bad ass, wanna see more power.. does that guy build import manifolds?

  • thats sick as fuck, where can i get those manifolds.. bad ass, wanna see more power

  • The break in cycle was run before we even started making any power pulls. After that we had enough info to be able to start making short pulls to get more data to adjust for the big horsepower pulls.

  • high number of dyno pulls for break in? is it safe to take it to 6k rpm right after build on first pull?
