Crocs are not the apex predator they are made out to be, most big cats would easily get the better of a Croc. The Croc has one way of attack, and that's obviously his mouth. The problem is they are to slow to get hold of a cat. The Cat just gets behind them and then the Croc is beat.

You should see how scared Croc's are of Hippo's, if they encounter one, even in the water, they steer well clear.
