Brings back the smell of open beer and weed in the car packed with 10 people in way too short leather jackets, skin tight jeans, and crazy hair. Don't even get me started on the sex in the 80's, that's an entirely different world Cheers!
I remember playing all of his songs on this cassette over and over again I think the tape actually ripped to pieces I played it so much..or someone stole it...I can't remember...alls I know is that I was bummed..I never got 2 buy another one...and now here's youtube and I can listen 2 them whenever I like....thanks 4 posting....
His songs I used to sing over and over again ,his lyrics were inspirational to me.His voice was a timeless classic. Songs like Never Surrender were the soundtrack to my life, that,s how great of a talent he is. There,s no 1 who,s as great of a singer like that anymore. The musicians and singers in this decade are a bunch of jokes now!!!
@imJESSIEf Well you are gorgeous babe so I will pass along the compliment to Corey if he's not too back in the day for you. He's a great guy who can carry the weight of the sad times there and give you the strength to face your fears and he will teach your body lovin' that you shouldn't forsake and work in the style of give and take.
I always liked his music but it was a little hard to buy the rejected, broken hearted guy routine. With his looks, he's never had a lonely day in his life. My 13 year old neice is into 80's music so I'm sending her vids.
I sang with him 2 years in a row in Japan on his stage... It was absolutely dream but the second year was miracle... He picked me up on his stage twice!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss him a lot. Come back!!!!!!!
I remember this song as if it just played over & over again. Very meaningful and the beat is a plus. Why can't they make good music like this nowadays?
OMG! This song really brings back teenage memories. I love the music from back then. It's so good to wax nostalgic and look up all these old songs. I'd love to time travel back then for just a day *sigh*. Seriously, Does anyone know if Corey was related to Evelyn Hart the ballerina that danced with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet? My cousin used to be with them back then and it would be kind of neat if she actually knew his sister.
I remember hearing the Sunglasses song in summer of "84" and then the following summer hearing the tune "Never Surrender" because of heavy MTV rotation back in the days when they actually played music. I have his greatest hits CD, makes me remember why I miss the 80's so much. He is still HOT and I have a thing for the Canadians have a major thing for Keanu, come to think of it they kind of remind me of eachother in subtle ways.
I can remember a certain morning, about 25 years ago... smokey, silent, bewildering.. I just broken up with my fiancee, and I heard this song - and cried an entire weekend over it. It just made me tear up again, hearing these words. What a bittersweet memory. Thanks for posting. Corey is still amazing!
OMG...I never would have thought that. But I kind of see it...LOL. 16 candles, greatest 80's movie. Just saw it again recently. Anthony Michael Hall making martinis, and passing cocktail napkins and nuts to "Jake Ryan" always has me in tears...it's so freakin' funny.
..that aint enuff for you..was it Gisele?..it was never enuff..never ever..was it?..thank God for Shane..the one right thing that came outta the marriage..but even he wasn't enuff for you..
Alright, I've been trying to find a certin music video by Cory Hart. Unfortunatley, I have no idea what the song is called. All I know is that it involves a train, a little kid, and some farmers on the train. Something to that effect, seeing as my father was the farmer in that video and I'd practically kill to find the damn video!
He's canadian but spent alot of time in Spain and Mexico. By the time he was eight he had nearly forgotten all of his English. He is sooooooooooo dreamy. *sigh* Takes me back....
He's Canadian but he's singing with an odd accent. Is he doing that on purpose? It's sort of the way Sting sings (think "Walkin on da moon"). What is up with that?
Great vid, but i'd rather see the one that urbangypsy mentioned, the one they play on Much More Music, the one where his girl is with another guy, and lied to him, this song always gets me cause i've had a girl lie to me more than once
Isn't there a second version of this video, where Laurie Brown was in the video? I think she was wearing a 60's liek dress in it. She was like in corey's first four videos.
Actually, "Sunglasses at Night" peaked at #7 on the hot 100 over here but his song "Never Surrender" was actaully a bigger success peaking at #3 on the Hot 100. This song peaked at #17 and "I Am by Your Side" peaked at #18. However Hart did score, three #1's in Canada. Ironically "Sunglasses at Night" only peaked at #24 in Canada.
Just to add on here, Kurdtss. I see you have a lot of Corey Hart videos, where's "Never Surrender"? I'd love to see that one again. It was one of his best songs, this one is best.
Such a great song...! What I'd love to see is the original videos from when this song originally came out... Because record labels don't care about an artists talent anymore, they only care about their looks.
And while many women think Corey Hart was hot, he still was a kick ass singer as well.
