  • also, where do you live house or apartment? who do you live with?

  • how did you get the ported pearl bass drum head?? all the kits i see offered are un ported

  • hey dude i was looking at your videos and i saw that that you had the pearl vision vbx drum set.

i have been wanting them for a long time. did u like them? cause i like the sound of birch drums over maple. let me know please!!!!

  • @iplaysabian Truthfully.. I sold my VBX to get the masters kit you see in most of my videos. I actually sold the masters kit after a few months and picked up a masters birch kit from 2005. Absolutely love birch. I would highly recommend getting a vision birch kit if that's all you can afford. GET IT! lol ;)

  • hey man where did u get those black eliminator pedals those things are sick!! awesome kit by the way!!!

  • @iplaysabian thanks for the comment! I bought the black eliminators from guitar center when I worked there... we were blowing them out for $20.00!!! I swear! they had some corrosion and needed some repair.. so I bought them and fixed them! :)

  • what head do you use for your bass drum ur kit sounds great!

  • @jmusiclover77 Hey.. the sound of the kick on this vid is not so good.. but the toms sound amazing. Go check out the other vid that is REVIEW 3. For wayyy better sound. The kick head on this vid AND review 3 is an Emad 2.

  • Love sabians nice work

  • Like the kit and also a fellow Pearl player, I play the SST and Emad2 on my Pearl Reference and I love them, a sound tech at a venue i played at in Cincinnati said those are the best heads he's ever heard. Once again great kit ans also love the Sabian's.

  • @shawndrums05 Thanks for the kind words!

  • woooooww u sold your zildjians...... bad choice man :i

  • you switched to sabian!!! way to go

  • i just got the grey to black sparkle and made my own snare out of teak . agree with you that they are exellent drums though sir .

  • how much you spend on everything in this video i want this set up bad

  • @mrboverbro Hmm. Let's see. I bought them when I worked for Guitar Center.. so I got everything at dealer cost basically. So total it's about 3000.. give or take. It's in there somewhere.

  • do u like the aaxplosion crashes?

  • @ThePurpleDrumStick Yes, I do. Check out the other vid with me playing them. 16, 18, 19 crashes, 17 chinese, 21 aax raw bell dry ride and 14 stage hats.

  • Love the kit man, sounds great. Those Evans ec2 SST's are awesome. I play them on my Pearl Reference. Love the Sabian's as well, the perfect combo. Thanks for sharing later man.

  • hey man instead of wasting time telling everyone what kind of drums you have, you could have been practicing to that Foo Fighters song

  • @juddgreg333 Oh yeah.. I guess I could have... OH WAIT.. I did. Check my page, bro. LOL.

  • Yeah buddy! Sabian is the way to go.

  • in my whole-hearted opinion, the AAX RBDR is the worst from the series, the best is HH and HHX Raw Bell Dry Rides good kit!!

  • Hey dude lets here some drum playing who cares about what you got!!! I want to hear some drum beats!!! And really hear what the kit sounds like!!

  • @kimrickhaley Hey bro.. thanks for the comment.. check out the other vids on what it sounds like.. there are a variety of heads too. Thanks again!

  • Everlongs on

  • WoW!!! Soooo Cool ! Mine should be here this week. I ordered the 12 -13 - 16 - 22 - 6.5 x 14 in chestnut fade. I do have a question for you. I was debating on remo stock heads or the evans ec2. I beleive you tried both, watching your previous videos. I want the best of both worlds- A beautiful fat sound with quality tone/ not like a nice cardboard box. What do you suggest??

  • @dannysanchez31 Well.. the stock heads are Remo Ambassadors top and bottom which will give you a nice, very open sound (if you like that kind of drum sound) At first, I loved the sound of the ec2 sst's. With those.. it's not really about control (over dampening) But the 'sst ring' under the head really keeps the overtones in check. So you get an extremely even sound drum tone with really no weird warble.. if that makes sense. It quickly became a 'fake sound' for me realizing that I (more)

  • @dannysanchez31 preferred a more natural sound even if the overtones were there. Basically.. they give you the studio drum sound.. without the studio.. lol. In my opinion at least. I just sold this kit (a few days ago) for a Birch Masters.. (i'll get videos up for that later.) I have yet to rehead the kit since I've bought it.. I'll be putting Remo Vintage Emperors on it. I'll have a video up soon. Let me know what you decide to do! :)

  • @SilverFoo79 I love pearl drums!! I want to buy a 7piece drumset. I invite you to check my videos and give me your opinion!!

  • YES sabian is where its at

  • @ilovesabian1n1 Damn right! :)

  • mate i dig it, sounds fucking impressive man, im paying off my pearl masters MCA at the moment same tom sizes but a 22x20" bass drum, listening to how your toms sound on this video is inspiring me to work harder to pay my kit off faster!

  • @robjking1 Batter is still the emad2.. I have an eq1 frosted.. but haven't put it on yet.. I may try it sometime later. I also want to try the new KickPort... I've heard some great things about it..
