  • George Harrison song

  • Sweet, he played this when I saw him live with his trio.

  • He is nothing short of Godlike and has my devoted devotion, my inspired perspiration and my avowed support and adulation until he breathes his last. I mean: IT IS BAH-LEWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

  • ke intenso bravo

  • Yeah, let's remember that it was a Harrison song. McCartney and Lennon WISH they could have written like this.

  • I just love around the 1:29 mark (the "if they only knew" lyric would go there if someone was singing) I think Belew really started feeling the song right there. George Harrison was showing the full extent of his genius when he wrote this song and Adrian Belew does the song proud.

  • The Inner Light is also a fantastic song, but I'm quite positive this is Within You Without You. Thanks for watching!

  • I have posted the lyrics under the description so you may sing along :)

  • @nick1137 ,inner light is also great but quite different.

  • Adrian belew also produced Jars of clay...... :P

  • This is a great video! Check mine out of the same song in Carrboro NC... wildsmart

  • Love Belew for turning his guitar into a sitar.

  • cool¡¡

  • great man

  • i just did this purple tab,,and this is fucking me up ,in a beautiful way,,,,,,,,,,,

  • I always love the way Adrian can't help grinning at some point during his playing. Always find myself grinning back.

  • Definetely..always smiling..finding peace abd joy in making music live..i love this man and how open he deals with his deperssions and stuff and turns it into music.

  • That's what happens when yer having fun(or sex!) with somthing you love!

  • and it's a strange smile... he's always had some maniac expressions...he the greatest

  • A nice little treat... much like ordering sunomono at a good Japanese resturant, off the menu...

  • Give me some acid... I want some acid!

  • I've always dug his music since the King Crimson days...

  • This video was shot at the Key Club in Hollywood.

  • Good stuff... thanks

  • I was at this show too.I actually had the good fortune to meet and talk with Adrian at the last 2 NAMM shows.Very cool guy indeed.

  • I also hung out with Adrian recently at an event at Sweetwater's campus. He is a super nice guy - it was a treat talking with him. And his playing is so wild and expressive. Amazing talent.

  • Was this shot at the Rex Theatre in Pgh? i think i was at this show...

    belew rules.

  • I DONT THINK SO I WAS THERE TO.

  • He lost some hair, but he must have been working out. He's huge! What a great guitarist, one of the best live ever!!!

  • douzilles...i misunderstood your comment, and realized you directed that to others. my apologies...Peace On...

  • douzilles...some people need signposts for compassionate conduct in this world. not all have attained enlightenment like yourself. there is a practical side to life, you know.

  • sick reverb/swell usage

  • It just can't get better

  • I like his music so bad hahah

  • Oh my goodness! you have to ove this. As for his ..who cares! this guy rocks. It's too bad that ,to some people ,the physical appearance of a great artist outshines his talent. That is the problem with "pop" music these days. too much emphasis on how someone looks, rather than the music. Do not buy the crap your fed by MTV. Think for yourselves. And remember, one day you too will be older. Will you enjoy being discounted for your lack of physical appearance? Heavy huh?

  • i would take your argument a step further and say that evaluating someone based on appearance isn't only a problem in music, but a problem with serious implications for our entire culture and society. beautiful only if you're thin? ok, i'll starve myself. i need to look like that? ok, i'll kill for those shoes. it poses a problem for the integrity and quality of our music, indeed. but that's just a small slice of the moldy pie we're fed these days...

  • you have a very good point there. But what can change peolples shallow perceptions of beauty, and worth?

  • well, just phase that shit out, and don't buy into it. who gives a turd about britney or tomcat or brangelina? that crap is meant to distract you from realizing who you truly are. i mean, i think we're naturally attracted to beauty, but this is only reinforced and cheapened in this society.

  • (cont...)that's why the internet is so great...ppl can get on here and speak to thousands of ppl and start asking questions and having discussions about what really matters. this will lead to widespread, mainstream understanding of why our lives seem so empty and painful...just preach the good word(s)--compassion, patience, calm...and never doubt how real these things can become on a societal level...

  • and never doubting starts with forgetting about all the crap we're force-fed, and turning our attention elsewhere. instead of picking up a Us or Cosmo, and spending hours trying to see what new cars celebs are driving, go volunteer at a soup kitchen, or meditate...it all starts locally, and with positive energy

  • You know what? That is the most intelligent thing I have heard anyone say here on youtube. You are to be commended. Thanks for the food for some deep thought. You have a great point.

  • agreed...

  • meant that to go to the page

  • musioc is from Beatles,George Harrison!!

  • i'd like adrian team up with jeff beck sometime for a project.that'd be quite a guitar summit,to coin a cliche'...

  • ¡Adrian Belew 'rulea'!

  • God those people who scream when they recognize a song should be shot. Adrian should cut that hair.

  • Regarding his hair, he needs to bring back the ponytail IMHO.

  • If they were shot you wouldn't be seeing this :)

  • I agree, American crowds are the worst but it has caught on everywhere now. This generation is bad but such is life. As for his hair, he has some! Leave him alone! Peace

  • enough people shot in the world, and too many people telling us what "we should do"... Peace please.

  • Yeah, well...I wish it was that simple... if I had my way, I'd give a baseball bat to all of those stupid bureaucrats and politicians, and just let them beat each other into ham... 'coz ammo costs money, 'ya know...

  • Why look at his hair when his hands are much more interesting! :)

  • I was in the State Theater show also!

    It's unbelievable!

    Belew rocks!

  • The State Theatre Show was great!!!!! Loud as Hell!!!! Loved it!!!! rickchammons@yahoo.com

  • totally brilliant
