  • He means it's a two month skill because in gymnastics they start you at the beginning with the very basic stuff then you advance and about two month you make it to that skill....

  • I should just forget it. I'm not flexible. :( What a waste of my time :L

  • omg love his acent

  • I can do a bridge pushing off the floor, but I can't do the "kickover" part. Actually, I can't even lift either one of my legs from that position, so I guess I'll just have to stick with bridge for now.

  • @EmilyA1984 same with me. i can never kickover. but i can get the feet off the ground but cant get them real high.

  • wast the heck is up with the ballet move!!

  • When she does that so called "ballet move" Its called a lever we gymnast to get good scores in gymnastics when we do handstand limbers handstand front rolls handstands or back and front walkovers we do it to get really good scores if we dont do it then we get points taken off.

  • dnt be afraid to do it.if u have ur backbend kickover u can do ur balkwalkover....trust me!i was scaree to do it my friend told me to just follow the wall behind me...i did.and my back walkover was perfect.i said''i wasted all this time scarred to do this wen its easyer then a backbend kickover?!?!?!?''it felt good to accomplish it

  • btw...i'm not skinny!lol.

  • i know how to do a walkover, but i need some advice on how to go into it faster? i dont kick with one leg i just go back into it from both legs, i have tried what she did but i dont think i am that confident yet. does any one know how i can gain more confidence? i have tried but i get scared if i fall:L

  • just keep on practice ing and try to take it slow also try to walk our hands down the wall into a bridge positsion. i know it is a little scary at first but you will get it. the best thing is to just go for it. but if you just toatally cant do it just try getting someone to spot you. i hope this help please tell me if it does

  • thanks, i can do it, but only from two legs. i cant do it from one leg up and one on the ground, it dont feel comfortable. i will try it with support then by myself at gymnastics. thanks :)

  • this video makes more sense than the other one with that women because that woman did not really make sense

  • For me, this really helps, becouse before watching I couldn't see difference between back handspring and back walkower and other back-stuff.

It is very easy to understund now. Thanx. I'll let you now if I'l have my backwalkower thanks to your video... :)

  • i can kick over but i cant do a one legged backbend. Has anybody got any tips?

  • If you start with your toe pointed in front of you and do a backbend it can help you when it comes time to keep one foot up. Hope i helped. let me know if u need more advice!

  • @XxlilbabexX11 If you get some one to help you with the back bend with one leg get some one yo do that a lot of time till you feel comfortable and you will have the erg to kick over so do that faster and faster and you will get it :)

  • Practice, thats the best way. Do a normal backbend and lift you leg. Practice falling back into a backbend with one leg on a soft (but not bouncy) surface. (:

  • it does not take that long 2 get ur back walkover. it took me 1 day

  • same

  • that wasnt help ful i mean it going to be hard if your leg is that high.

  • hes a liar u dnt have 2 b strong 2 do one u just have 2 kno how

  • this is really good thing to practice not just because it looks good also because it works good on ur muscles and flexibility and when you get back to the bridge slowly make ur abs very strong!

  • i need help!!! my school gymnastics are coming up and i want to do this soo badd to make it for compition i tryed b4 and failed im scared to bc i land on my neck. i cryed i was that frightant i almost snaped it anyways any advise on how to do this but just taking the risk for trying it agan any postiv sayings like i can do this but better lol help?

  • i still cant learn it but ill try :P

  • i can do dat (i learnt dat at gymnastics wen i was lik 8 or sumtin )=]=]=]=]=]

  • i did it on a trampoline first, then i tried it on the ground.I did it and then i was flippin out!!

  • i just taught myself how to do tht frm the standing positioin a week ago (:

  • omg you dont need to put your leg up that high for begginers gosh

  • @paramore1277 but shes not a beginner and thats just the way she does it. obviously someone who is a beginner would put their leg up that high to practice it

  • @paramore1277 i agree with that partially but it helps alot

  • she is REALLY muscular and flexible! i wish i was that flexible

  • i learned it for about 2 weeks..

  • it took me about 2 monts to get my backwalkoverrr too!!! lol and after that its easy :)

  • The old man is a noob!

He is saying in Every Video in this clip we are going to show you.....

    -_-*

  • It took me about 2 days.

  • its not even hard ! i learned when i was 6 in one day i am not exxagerating at all

  • When we're younger we can do awesome stuff, I figured out a rubik's cube at 6, and now I can't do it XDDD

  • i learned this when i was 9 and it only took me like a day!! not 2 months

and i learned it on my own without a coach

  • I have some advice here :

When you do a backwalkover start with a bridge first then when you kick make sure that your leg at the back needs to stand on the toes and push. When you master that your ready to do a backwalkover!

  • check out all my vids at taylor gatten

  • I want to learn to do that!

  • holy crap 2 months! i learned in a week i guess that s not good lol

  • i learnt to do this when i was 7 it took me 10 mineute s not 2 months

  • well gud 4 u! :)

  • Sumbody Help me !!!!!! I can do a great bridge but I cant kickover! sum1 help giv tips pleese! thx

  • you have to have goood balence. if you can do a backwalkover easy then keep trying with one foot. its easier then you might think.

  • THX 4 d advice ..............i been practicingg alot!!!!!! but 2day i had cheerleadingg practicce & we didi stunts so im sore=( lol so i culdnt praactice 2day.......

  • haha ok i had the same problem first do this on something soft plzz! but wen you are in your bridge lean forward with your shoulders and then all your momentum will be going that way (start with a kick over)

  • Thx!!!!!!!!

  • so easy

  • i can do that!

  • i cant even get my arms straight so that i could try it...

  • i don tknow how 2 do mine with 1 leg out

  • I've taught myself how to do a backwalkover. This is what I did. I did push-ups to promote my arm strength, and pratice getting used to being in a bridge, and practice pushing off your legs. It took me like a few months. But that was because I didnt practice everyday.

  • ok I can do a back bend from standing then kick over and a back a little support but when ever i try it on my own I fall I know Ive got enough back flexibility can anyone help thanks

  • you have got to keep on trying, i was like that and i didn't give up and i tought myself a back bend. keep your head ahead of your body and search for the ground. dont give up.

  • Hehe if you want to pratice but ur feeling lazy i like to lay down on my bed with my head hanging off of it, put my hands on the floor and walkover from the bed. Lazy and easy, yes but it is better than nothing!

  • Do you put the weight in your arms??>

  • yes wen ur going back in to a bridge with ur leg up make all ur weigh go to ur hands btw dont kick over as hard as you can :)

  • i tried to do it...but i failed.. :( ima keep tryin!!

  • whats the difference between a backbend and a bridge?anyway,i can do the backbend from my feet, but cant kick over

  • F*** i'm goin' down when it's time for cheerleading try-outs, lol.

    -which is in a WEEK!!

  • People who have hairy armpits have to shave all the time if you go to gymnastics

    Lol

    xxxxxx

  • he has a boner :o

  • haha he sounds funny

  • yea hes probably like romanian??

  • i think he is italian

  • yeah it took me like 4ever but now i have my double backhandspring!!!!

  • does it really take 2 months to ge ta backwalkover ? 0-0

  • ahh i wanna do gymnastics soooo badly! but i would feel extremely awkward if i had to wear an outfit like that *blush*

  • the other video by the same people for the back walkover with the lady is wayyy better. watch that one if you need help :] thats what i did and it helped a ton!

  • that is the easyest thing in the world i can do that itzz soo easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • It looks sooo easy but then when you come to it...it getss really hard

    and yea i am flexeble

  • yeah me too, i'm flexible but i can't really do it...i think it's my lack of strength lol

  • haha.x

  • i have never been able to kick over.... i can go back into a bridge but i just kick and dont get anywhere ... i am much better at forward walkovers .... i think they are easier

  • When you're practicing in your house. Do a backbend and then try walking your feet up the wall until you flip over. I learned this way when I was 7yrs old. When you're in the bridge your toes should be touching the wall and your feet facing away from it. Make sure your feet are clean!!! Dirty feet=Dirty walls.

  • thank u for the comment now i know how to do it

  • thnx :D

  • horrible video....srry but he didnt seem that nice...hes like "you need to be very strong and flexible" when everyone can do it with a lil practice.

  • back-walka-ov-er. lol sorry sir but its heckka funnnny

  • for those out there who are finding it hard to finish the kick over with out collapsing through the shoulders this might help- as you go to "kick" or drive your leg up for momentum -don't forget to pull through your shoulder girdle- what i mean by this that as you kick you want to pull your shoulders forward over your hands as you kick and push off the floor. the pull is what gets your body (head, neck and shoulders) in the proper position for the kick to be effective-

  • thank for the tips i been trying to do this for months now..

  • wat if u cnt do da full split.. cos she was clearly doin da splits wen she was goin bck?

  • you dont have to have a full 180* split to do a back walk over- it just makes it look nice. _ the secret is really all in the pull of the shoulders and chest when kicking.

  • i dont do it that way LOL i just do a bridge bend back and then i just kick one at a time
