  • god is not above the rules he sets...HE'S KILLING HIS OWN CREATIONS!!! DUMBASS! He is not fit to judge and kill people or be anyone's ''god'' or sent them to hell to suffer-he's being the opposite of what he should be- LOVING. this Jehova is a fraud.

  • @LuciferAtram1

"If God allows these things to happen then He should fix something, if you say choose well God should be there to fix something.

That's what the Cross is all about. Unlike police, gov. agents, & soldiers, when God fixes something it's fixed for once & for all. But the question is, Will you let God fix it? If you won't or don't want Him to He's THE Gentleman & won't force. Choices do & should have consequences though, because love without justice is not love.

  • NO. if ''god'' allows these things to happen then he should fix something.if you say they ''choose'' well god should be there to fix something. he's ''god' right? ''Perfect''

police officers shouldn't kill. gov't people shouldn't kill anyone because they don't have the right to take life...killing is wrong ''GOD'' KILLS ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE what don't you get?? even god can't follow his own rules. He's no better,he doesn't have the ''right'' to massacre people and flood them.

  • @LuciferAtram1

In principle at least, Do not police, government agents, & soldiers kill to fix problems when there's no other choice left? Keep in mind there's a huge difference between killing & murder. Suppose a burglar posed a threat to your family or friends & you were left with no alternative but to kill them, would that make you a murderer?

  • God KILLS ALOT of people in the bible...in the millions. how many has satan killed? 10? under god's orders. wow god sure is ''perfect''. and ''loving'' please don't use that word it does not fit Mr God...he is a coward and he never helps the ones who need it the most.Trust Me I know!!

  • you make no sense.'''i hate racism'' ''i hate'' see what i mean - YOU HATE - typical christian.. you don't LOVE anything only your own, others who aren't like you, you hate.

If god was perfect he wouldn't have created Satan or humans! ''god'' fails miserably he cannot even help people who are suffering and dying.yeah he's ''perfect'' ..lol. what does god do? absolutely nothing,he doesn't ACT. and if he would it would be probably to kill people because they are ''wicked'' ...

  • @LuciferAtram1

1.If I love someone I will hate what's destroying them.

2.Lucifer CHOSE to TWIST himself into satan; Lucifer wasn't created to be satan.

3.Humanity wasn't created to be as they are now we CHOSE to be deceived & TWISTED ourselves into less than what we were created to be.

4.God helping us is what the Cross(its' sneak previews in the Old Testament)is all about.

5.Police officers kill criminals, government agents kill traitors, soldiers kill terrorists.

  • lol ''christians don't hate on gays'' You do. just as you hate on satanists, atheists and people of other beliefs. because you are hypocrites and hateful towards those who aren't christian therefore they are ''evil'' to you. i don't belong to jewsus sorry he didn't create me so he doesn't ''own'' me. and you don't know Satan...you don't understand it so you say ''he's out to destroy us'' because that's all you can say.

  • @LuciferAtram1

    Keep in mind

1.God, by definition, is perfect; or else He isn't God.

    2.satan is not

That being the case, logically; who of those two is most likely to have your best interest at heart & know what they're talking about?

Note; that I hate racism, crime, & disease doesn't mean I hate racists, criminals, or the diseased. In fact it is because I love the latter that I hate the former. It's the same with homosexuality(or any other sin).

  • you're a slave to jewsus. not free = spritually in chains.when you go to heaven you have to worship ''God'' if you do not obey, you will be cast down. do you want to live with god and jesus if the only thing you must do is worship. no. jesus is a faggot and so are christians. and wolverine is not a christian..

  • And the new Wolverine and the Xmen show has Wolverine being some kind of jackass marine corps guy, and I dislike that a lot. I think Wolverine is a better character when he's not adopting someone else's incredibly strict rule set. He is his own man, not god's and not the corps'.

Nightcrawler wan't a monk when he joined the x-men originally... and it bummed me out when they gave him the religious twist. I preferred it when he was just a swashbuckling bamf'er with 2 cutlasses. No religion.

  • This is why i love Nightcrawler

  • Comment removed

  • Why ca't there be good values like this anymore anywhere?

  • That is actually brilliant, and really cool that they included both opinions about God for these two characters

  • Interesting.

  • That was a catholoc church wolverine was praying at, and that was a,symbol of the sun, horus worship, illuminati stuff

  • Wolverine was always mad at God, so that doesnt make him an atheist, but neither a Christian.. he kinda believe in some deity..

  • @Fratimusic I think that would make him agnostic

  • Aww this is so cute! Was this really on tv??

  • the beliefs of some x men characters. Kitty - Jewish Jean - Protestant Magneto - Jewish Xavier - Protestant Bobby - Jewish Wanda - Jewish Pietro - Jewish Lorna - Catholic? Storm - No idea... Wolverine - Protestant? Emma - Catholic? Sam - Baptist? Angel - Protestant? Banshee - Catholic? Chamber - Anglican? Scott and Alex - Protestant Psylocke - Protestant or Anglican
  • and you'll never see any religious symbols like this in todays kid shows.

  • Leave it to Gambit to be a total ass

  • Wolvie wasn't a Atheist, he says god gave up on mutants a long time ago, Atheists plain do not believe there is any god and open to the possability that the universe may have formed naturally. He strikes me as a Agnostic or a deist.

  • Mehh

  • Nothing is more Christian then slicing up an entire of a platoon of human agents of HYDRA and celebrating by drinking alcohol to excess and banging Domino.

  • I wasn't old enough to understand the issues in this show, so I moved on to other things. So after pouring through some youtube clips, I found this one...

As cliche as it is, a bitter and world-weary character (like Wolverine) who manages to find some comfort and direction in his life is a beautiful thing. I think issues like religion are beyond my judgement, but if Christianity can give hope to people who are emotionally lost, is that really so bad?

  • @MisterSmith00 Yes when they get their heads up their asses tip wheelchairs, try and tear down science, give shit to other people for their views. Then it's so bad and their still emotionally lost.

  • @ganados0 Maybe some Christians do those things. Heck, maybe alot of them do it. I suppose I like to think that the Christians I refer to are the one's that just try to help people without any selfish reasons. I'll admit, Christianity cannot help everyone, but it's at least better than not helping at all.

...and maybe it was a spelling mistake, but what did you mean by "tip wheelchairs"? Are you saying that Christian people tip over people in wheelchairs?

  • @MisterSmith00

Yeah I'm not saying all christians but it's groups like Westboro Baptist church and faith healer crowds

I found a example of a former christian who grabbed people from wheelchairs and threw them:

    /watch?v=0UskTLPpUAs

Though he is the opposite of what we mentioned in that he came to his senses and was disturbed by what he had done.

  • @ganados0 Yeah, anyone who resorts to that kind of behavior needs to check themselves. Bringing harm to or insulting anyone else without justification not only diminishes that person, but it also misrepresents the group they represent, which is what I think you were saying. Extremists can be dangerous, but the peaceful religious groups seem alright. Thanks for the comment response; I hardly get those.

  • @ganados0

1.Westboro are legalistic heretics, not Christians; If they were they'd act like it.

  • @MisterSmith00 Yes... Christianity has some pretty evil beliefs. People that are emotionally lost will stumble upon those beliefs and suddenly start hating gay people, stoning their unruly children to death, making women submissive, rejecting scientific evidence for evolution, voting down stem cell research and actually going to war with people of a different religion as well as people that believe in a different version of the same book.

Yes, it really is so bad.

  • @Grimtheorist

1.God nor Christians hate gay people; If we did we wouldn't care what they did. 2.Christians don't stone people; you're confusing us with Islam & Old Testament Judaism.

3.It's about DUAL SUBMISSION(IE Death to self).

4.If you mean Canine=wolf, dog, coyote, fox etc. No problem. If you're talking

    fish=amphibians=reptiles=mammals=primates=humans, that contradicts Biology.

5.Because ALL human life has value.

6.See the Sermon on the Mount & the Fruit of the Spirit.

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    1. Yes you do. Your bible puts gays on par with drunkards, swindlers and greedy people, even calls then wicked and excludes them from heaven. Oh yeah, and the part where it says you must kill gays in Leviticus 20:13. I guess you don't have to hate something to kill it though, so maybe you're right, you don't hate gays, you just coldly and callously reject their right to live. My mistake...

    2. Stonings take place in Acts and Hebrews, new testament Christianity. Wasn't Paul stoned?

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    2. (cont.) Also, the old testament is where your creation myths are stored, so if you're gonna throw out stonings and say that's not Christian, can I disregard the creation myth?

    3. Bible only mentions wife submitting to husband, husband to god. That's not equal, and people in modern times take that to mean a man thoroughly controls his woman. Just imagine what non civilized people would take from that passage...

    4. Oh boy... well... I don't think you'll understand but I'll try

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    4. (cont.) Well, a fish is definitely not the same thing as an amphibian, so you are correct, but that's not at all what evolution is saying. I know theists like to think of evolution as "a fish was born then somehow by the end of its life, it turned into a snake." but that is about as wrong as you could be.

Amphibians did indeed come from fish, and reptiles did indeed come from amphibians, but it was very gradual over the course of millions of years. Go research it seriously.

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    5. And you are so sure that stem cells are fully alive? With your assumption that everyone has a soul, we are not able to research medical breakthroughs by way of stem cell research. If they are in fact souls, and all dead baby souls go to heaven automatically, wouldn't is be preferable to send the little ones packing as soon as possible?

On the other hand, since we don't have any reason to believe that we all have a soul, and that consciousness starts at conception, how many...

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    5. (cont.) people have to die of diseases due to lack of stem cell research? You realize that if you are wrong, you are responsible for the preventable deaths of millions, billions, maybe even trillions of people. Thanks a lot for your silly assumptions and not being willing to investigate before imposing your imaginary rules upon the world. Your kind glorifies death and wants us all to go there, where as science might have already cured death if given the chance. Dark ages pt. 2

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    6. What you're basically saying is that after all of the wars (that god ordained), the wars about what god ordains, the wars about who is right about what god ordained and every other act of senseless violence brought about by this damned book and its millions of variations is all undone by a few kind words and metaphors? That does absolutely nothing to stop the fact that Protestants and Catholics fight to the death over which version is correct...

  • @EmetTalmudim6

    6. (cont.) A perfect god coulda got the message across nice and clear so everyone could believe is the same way. No need for so many different versions of the same word from the same god. No need for senseless murder. But it was not god that gave the word, and man will continue to kill each other to prove who is right about this fairy tale, or who is the 'real christian'. Your answer #2 points this out clearly.

Its disgusting, and to try to justify it is ignorant and thuggish.

  • @EmetTalmudim6 Since you obviously don't know much about the religion you worship and try to force onto the rest of the world, I thought I'd highlight a few more verses of questionable moral conduct:

-1 Corinthians 14:34 - women in church, shut up!

-1 Corinthians 11:13-15 - hair length... real important...

-Deuteronomy 22:20,21 - if your wife is not a virgin on her wedding night, kill her by throwing rocks at her head!

-Deuteronomy 23:2 - born out of wed lock? Not allowed in church, ever!

  • @Grimtheorist Context;

A.Silence of women IN Church; Christians met in a circle-men on one side women on the other-In Corinth women were shouting down the men or otherwise disrupting the service; IE Let everything be done decently & in order.

B.Hair; Then only male prostitutes wore long hair & the requirements for women are so demons wouldn't have an opportunity to mislead men; IE guys don't be like your pagan neighbors; girls come to church with the focus on God not you.

  • @Grimtheorist Context;

    C.Bridal Virginity;

1.That was in the OT as a PICTURE of an IDEAL

2.The bride had committed adultery & broken her marriage vow; You wouldn't marry someone who had no intention of being faithful to you or didn't see you as worth waiting for?

    D.Out of "Wedlock" birth;

    1.See C 1&2

2.Linguistically someone who was born of a marriage between a believer & a nonbeliever & the lacity that resulted on the part of the child.

  • @EmetTalmudim6 And finally:

    -Ephesians 6:5

    -Colassians 3:22

    -Titus 2:9

    -1 Peter 2:18

... Motha fuckin' SLAVERY! Note that your buddy Pete spoke up during your New Testament period to say that a slave should obey his masters always, even if they are cruel.

Bottom line is, even if your weirdo Christians got wiped off the face of the planet today... all it would take is for one idiot to find the bible and interpret it literally, and we'll all be fucked.

Research and think before you preach.

  • @Grimtheorist "Slavery";

Greek; Doulos-A bond servant Oiketays-A bond servant who AGREED to work for a precise PERIOD OF TIME at a specific occupation who was then FREED & PAID.

Note; The OT context is the Hebraic equivalent of these. That is in a NOMADIC or SemiNOMADIC society WITH NO PRISONS who couldn't very well go around executing people for MISDEMEANORS or in the case of someone who had no monitary or comodity means of repaying debts; a WORK RELEASE PROGRAM.

  • whoa... (at both Wolverine and Nightcrawler!) just whoa...!

  • Also, my mom wouldn't let me watch this show when I was a kid, and I think if she had seen this episode she may have changed her mind.

  • "Can so many be wrong?"

Apart from this context, yes, very easily, lol.

I read the description, glad there are others who don't get their impression of Wolverine from those retarded movies.

  • the best x men series ever made

  • An overnight conversion just seems way out of character. I wonder if the people complaining about today's "political correctness" would be giving this show a thumbs up if wolverine converted to Wicca, Islam, Scientology or one of the other four billion religions we all know are false. And what if the roles were reversed and Wolverine successfully turned Night Crawler away from God? You're not upset about political correctness, you're mad that it's not slanted in your own favor.

  • wolvies eyebrows look funny

  • I dislike that political correctness involves keeping Christianity out while the other relgions in the world can voice to their opinion because of the extreme few in the Christian faith.

  • I cried, coz i believe in our lord and saver. I love god.

  • Question: What's wrong with the XME version of Nightcrawler?

  • uuuh i like how the news paper hit rogues face as she began to doubt letting her know what happen to the church.

  • I will give thanks to you O Lord, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away and you comforted me. I will entrust and will not be afraid.

  • @Ecuadorecuadorecuado

Honestly? I can't find exactly what he says in the Bible. Here is what they may have meant:

    Isaiah 12:1, 2

Then you will say on that day, "I will give thanks to You, O LORD; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me.

"Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."

  • What verse is it that Wolverine read's in the churcch? Very touching scence.

  • First I want to say good writing here I do enjoy the drama in this story. Still it annoys me when the stick religion in comics/cartoons. It's bad enough we have to put up with the bible thumpers on the streets we can't even have our entertainment without the writers shoving their bibles down our throats. Go shove you bibles up your ass you child molesting war mongering Nazis.

  • Your description was thought filled, but still a little off in my opinion coming from a long time comic fan.

Nightcrawler was perfectly captured in this show, that you are 100% correct about. His persona, albeit maybe a bit too serious is pretty much right on.

As for Wolverine, this show did an excellent job of charectrizing him for a KID'S show, but Wolverine isn't religious in the comics. He finds solace in Christianity here, but isn't a part of the faith.

  • I also think it is funny you use a clip from a Saturday Morning Fox Cartoon. As good a this was in many aspects it wasn’t 100% faithful to the comics . Wolverine doesn't smoke or kill. And seeing as this was a kids show this was most likely added for the kids. As good morals.

  • @EndlessLaymon dude, it's a cartoon...calm down.

  • Wolverine for the majority has been an atheist and sceptic earlier runs have shown this in great detail. He was raised Protestant became atheist and has dabbled in Buddhism but is a sceptic and seeker.. Modern issues are left up to the writer or reader in regard to what religious views they might want to incorporate into Wolverine but Wolverine has never been portrayed as some hardcore Christian or Christian in general.

  • @EndlessLaymon i deleted your first post cause 1. you spelled my name wrong and 2. you don't have to curse at me to get my attention...

No where did I claim that Wolvie was or is a "hardcore" Christian, all I've done is point out what this episode is showing off. If you read the description of the video you'll see that I actually go into more detail about Nightcrawler...not Wolverine.

  • @EndlessLaymon

The Wolverine you're probably talking about is from Earth-616. This Wolverine reading the Bible is from Earth-92131. So, apparently in this world, he may well be a Christian. In the Marvel universe, there are many different "Earths". Wolverine from the movie games is from a different Earth than the Wolverine from the actual X-Men movies, etc. The various Wolverines from comics are from different Earths than this cartoon Wolverine.

  • @EndlessLaymon Get a life nerd

  • In a sense the movie Nightcrawler is similar to this Nightcrawler. Both are catholic, both don't hate society for how they were treated, both were in the circus, and both never, officially, joined the X-men.

Also, In this series and in the movie they only worked together on certain occasions and then went their seperate ways.

  • I wouldn't call Wolverine a 'Christian' per say... But he finds comfort, security, and acceptance in God. For a man whose entire life has been one long war, with hardships, God can be just whats needed to lean on, as He will always be with you and forgive. This is why I love Nightcrawler in this episode. He ministers through his life... He doesn't force his beliefs on others, he just lives them, and accepts others, while offering understanding and solace the best he can.

  • well guess what there all christian in the old comic books they all went to church every sunday

  • Man....that was a wonderful episode.

It's just too bad that our media has sold themselves out to Satan. They'd rather show a bunch of airheads making fun of God than peole praising God.

Woe to our modern day society.

  • @Marcell2aG and what;s wrong with Satan? you sold your soul to christ and why aren't there any satanist x-men? only jew and christian maybe the world sold out to jesus.

  • @bornschizophrenic

"You sold your soul to Jesus"

1.NO, Jesus ransoms us from satan & will arrest him when it's time.

2.Because Jesus created us-so we're actually His by rights-He sets us free so He can marry us; spiritually speaking.

3.satan is out to destroy us for revenge against God.

  • AMEN

  • It's amazing how sometimes the least likely things move you. I still remember this episode fondly - it was actually part of what made me re-think my "belief in nothing" and turn back to God. Wolverine was always one of my favourite characters from X-Men.

  • *happy sigh*

I admire Nightcrawler greatly, as a Christian myself :D

  • Whoa.. Never knew this!!

  • No, acutally wolverine is a Muslim. :D

  • Nightcrawler and actually its the 1st episode in season 4

  • Nightcrawler

  • I love this episode. Wolverine and Nightcrawler are my top X-men. I dont' know if Wolverine is "christian"...seems like he used to be, but I was under the impression he was more of a wandering spiritual type of person. I dunno. I guess he could be.

  • this wolverine was cool

  • Brilliant ty so much

  • what is the name of this episode?

  • @Svfan007 cant remember...its in season 3...epi 8 i believe

  • I found it, it was "Nightcrawler" and it was in season 4 but thank you!

  • @ihebby The episode name is "Nightcrawler" . one of my fav eps. :)

  • @Svfan007 It's called simply "Nightcrawler"

  • @Svfan007 The episode is called simply "Nightcrawler." To this day, I consider it easily one of the best episodes of the series.

  • @Svfan007 It's just called "Nightcrawler".

  • @Svfan007 - The episode is called "Nightcrawler" and is the first episode of Season Four, even though it actually aired during Season Three on May 13, 1995.

  • @Svfan007 Nightcrawler.

  • @Svfan007

    Season 3, episode 18 "Nightcrawler"

  • Amazing... Truly amazing...

    Exactly what episode is this?

  • Wow you don't see that in cartoons anymore...sad really everything has to be "politically correct" now.

I hope this country turns back to God someday again...

I never knew this about Wolverine!! I like him even more now =D

  • I think I shed a tear when I first saw this episode

  • This is so awesome!!!! =D

Nightcrawler always WAS my fav character....

Sad though, that television now is so trapped in the bonds of "political correctness" that they aren't allowed to show something this powerful anymore. =(

Prayers people, the world needs them.

    God Bless! *hug*

  • @Bluecharizard550 I just saw this episode again recently and I had the exact same thoughts.

  • @Bluecharizard550 i agree with you 100% and he is my favorite character too

  • @Bluecharizard550 wow :O i thought this was a dub when i saw the title! im glad it's not but i mean wow! this was on disney :O :D back when disney channel was good and toondisney wasnt the current lameo station it is.

  • Wow! Today they would probably be arrested for airing something as strong as that! What happened to television?

  • yaaaaa, but still nightcrawler is still great in the other shows, just he shouldn't be the jokerster (morphs role)

  • Arrested? I'm assuming you've never heard of "Televangelists." As for what "happened" to television, there is simply too much of it.

  • You are correct @JinxHexhazard. There is too much religion and not enough relationship. Religion is you or me on the ground jumping up and down trying to reach an airplane that is way up far beyond our reach. Relationship is the airplane pilot (God) landing to invite us on board. However, He can't MAKE us get on. If we don't we miss out on all He has for us. May God bless and guide you to get on that plane.

  • I remember the first time I saw this episode, it was a wonderful feeling I had in seeing a fictional character share their faith. Sadly, an episode like this will never see the light of day in today's time.

  • I remember seeing this full episode for first I was pleasantly surprised. I heard that Nightcrawler was Christian in the comics, but in the other cartoons I saw didn't protray that. This showed me otherwise. Oh, I remember doing a survey on what superhero guy I could date, it matched me with Nightcrawler 100%!!!! I would love to talk to this version of Nightcrawler!

  • wonderfull, this episode is a blessing to unsaved men as well as god, i wish they made kurt christain in evo, ohwell i have a dream to work at Marvel Animation so we might see him acked like this again, im crying now

  • This is really awesome.

  • WOW! i watched this as a kid, but i never knew the x-men hit topics like this...

  • how did nightcrawler get his suite if he isnt in the x men

  • he got it while in the circus, it was a performing costume for the high wire actors

  • This reminds me there is hope for people such as Wolverine whom believe their sin is too great to be forgiven.

  • I've been wanting to see this for ages, because my sister told me about it, but these clips can be hard to find. She said that Wolverine was Saved with the help of Nightcrawler, and I was like, "ho snap, really?", and here it is. This made me feel wonderful!

Although Catholicism isn't in my blood, believing in the Truth is all that matters for us. Seeing Faith in the Marvel universe is wholly satisfying. It's a shame directors nowadays have decided to censor Nightcrawler's beliefs.

  • thanks for the input

it never says if nightcrawler is catholic...but it kinda looks like it doesn't it?

in an episode the next season i remember wolverine talking to....rogue i think...about believing in God.

and on the final episode profX ends by acknowledging wolverines faith in God.

all in all it plays a major part in who Wolverine is

  • @DMorbus As a lifelong comic book geek, I can assure you that Nightcrawler is indeed very Catholic, even at one time studying for priesthood.

  • Praise God! I wonder if the makers of the cartoon are saved. They don't seem to be religious, but are in depth with their words for the character's dialouge. Common responses from sinners are used. Night Crawler must go on outreaches often...hehe.

  • I like Nightcrawler in X-men 2 :)
