  • can't fucking cure anything these days...just take your drugs

  • rich mans disease, that makes sense cause im rich lol.

  • He should have told the doctor "WELL I'LL TELL YOU WHEN I'VE HAD ENOUGH!"

  • this is a very helpful clip for me to remember for my exam. Thanks!

  • I'm fucking 21 and I've had gout attacks 3 times already.....

  • @lonewolf604 You drink a lot? I've been drinking heavy for over 5 years. I'm 26 and got 2 attacks this year and a tophi. This sucks....now I pretty much have to be a sober vegetarian.

  • @victory01 I just have to watch my meat intake, and not drink too often....I think it was ground beef that my mom used in the spaghetti sauce she made. I ate a lot of it in two days, then my toe started to burn the next day. Another time, my friend had a birthday and I drank a lot, the next day my pinky started swelling up. Another time my ankle swelled up was because I hate too much tofu......

This really sucks for me, I'm quite a healthy person too, and I exercise/workout.

  • @lonewolf604 I'm quite unhealthy. This is a wake up call for me. Good luck and stay healthy!

  • @victory01 You too bro

  • Hi, my name is Justin. I work in clinical research. My role is to let people know about clinical research opportunities that may be of interest. A new clinical research study is enrolling people diagnosed with gout. The study is for people who have had at least 2 gout attacks in the past year. Study-related medical care is provided, including reimbursement for allopurinol. The study doctors will monitor uric acid levels and gout symptoms, please visit our website to learn more. goutstudy com

  • "Jim, we have to get you to the Hospital!"

"Hold On, Lemme put a suit on, I wanna look respectable"

  • WELL I'LL TELL YOU WHEN I'VE HAD ENOUGH

also, why does the amputee commercial suddenly go into a mormon ad? it was probably supposed to be something for a bike company, then they paid him to say he was a mormon.

  • i was watching King of the Hill clips HOW THE FUCK DID I GET HERE?

  • @smashbro47 cause there's an episode where bobby gets the gout, which is on right now!:D

  • King of the Hill brought me here for some odd reason.

  • @aguilanthony lol. me tooo

  • @aguilanthony lol yeah Bobby had Gout

  • @aguilanthony cause there's an episode where bobby gets the gout, which is on right now!:D

  • For all my gout brothrs, I found the 1 and only item that works. its apple cider vinegar from Bragg. Its sold at gnc. If you youtube it alot of people have found it to cure the gout. I had an attack and lost my pills. Went out today and got the ACV and in a few hours was able to walk around. This stuff is like a wounder drug. Does alot of good for your body and cleans it out.. Good luck and google Bragg it does work.

  • My stepbrother and my dad has this....shit i hope i don't get it too.....

  • WINNIE THE POOH INVADES THE BODY!!!!!!!

  • @wowpockopa xD that's what came to mind too

  • I consume lemon juice, lemonade, and vinegar. I also drink lots of water to flush out the toxins. This helps reduce gout and also dissolves kidney stones. This works for me, and I don't have any gout or hardly. Try googling this. Only consume lemon juice and vinegar lightly in moderation because they are very acidic.

  • Gout is extremely painful. i woke up about 4 days ago thinking i may have kicked the wall because my big toe was really sore. i didnt think much of it but the next night my toe hurt so bad i couldnt even sleep. even moving in the sheets hurt extremely bad.

My doctor diagnosed it as Gout, but said it was unusual at my age and gender.

Considering im a girl at only 18 years old. I later learned that my great grandpa had gout. I am extremely nervous to find out how this affects me later in life

  • wow, this guy sounds like me the last week. Last sunday, was in my right foot (toe), this week, its moved to my left foot and doubled in pain. If i could push in the clutch in the car id take myself to the docs but the pain is too much. gets pretty frustrating trying to get people to understand how much pain your in when your foot is only slightly swollen and red.

  • I was wearing horse shoes for quite awhile and now I have gout

  • I was wearing horse shoes for quite awhile and now I have gout

  • I gave up drinking alcohol 4 years ago, now I drink water till I nearly burst, cherries and cherry juice, no shellfish, no red meat, no legumes. I take colgout, zyloprim, prednisone, brufen 400, panadiene forte and indocid. And I still have severe gout 7 out of 10 days on average, my hands are so infested with tophi that I can't move my fingers and my feet are so swollen I cannot wear shoes.

What am I doing wrong? My doctors sure as hell don't know..

  • @crocfme I have had Gout in both feet and my left knee on numerous occasions. The attack in the knee laid me up for four or five days, it was horrendous. I was put on Alolpurinol and have not had a hint in four years. I still eat and drink what I want including alcohol.

  • @crocfme My dad has gout too. Try to avoid papaya, spinach, seafood (expect white fish), mushrooms, strawberries, beans, peas, organs, alcohol (or anything cooked with alcohol) and red meat (turkey, beef, mutton, duck). Reduce your intake of cauliflower, nuts, tomato and carrots. Hope it's useful to you =)

  • Hi Bert: Great work in your videos providing info on the problem of uneducated MD about nutrition and the causes of gout and the symptoms. Check out raw foodist like Dr Gabriel Cousens.

  • GOUT SUFFERERS: THE ULTIMATE CURE TO ELIMINATE GOUT ATTACKS IS TO DRINK ONE 12 oz GLASS OF PRUNE JUICE DAILY FOR 30 DAYS TO FLASH-OUT THE TOXINS IN YOUR STOMACH & DIGESTIVE SYSTEM. YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM WILL GET RID OF ALL THE TOXINS (Including URIC ACID) THAT cause Gout. After 30 days your health will be better; but, you have to drink a Glass of Prune Juice twice per week from now on to maintain a GOOD DIGESTION SYSTEM. Happy Thanksgiving. TRY IT! Mario Hernandez from Guatemala.

  • the guy talking in the video has a cock nose

  • @ketamphetamine - your sweet old mother has cock breath.

  • @MrRedFredSaid and your mothers sucking cock to make sure there's food on the table while your father's sitting in the chair flicking through the channels living off the cocksucking money, no tax of course.

  • @ketamphetamine - dude, stop fantasizing out loud.

  • @MrRedFredSaid reality isn't fantasy.

  • @ketamphetamine - precisely my point, shit stain.

  • @MrRedFredSaid what point? you have no point there was no point, you stupid son of a bitch guess you need a lesson in literature to tell the difference from different terminologys

  • @ketamphetamine - Wow, you're really worked up and mad. I feel bad for you.

  • @MrRedFredSaid i feel bad that your parents because they have to put up with you :)

  • @ketamphetamine Woah, this is a flame that could go onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

  • Gouties should test their uric acid levels often... at least weekly or monthly. You may be symptom free for a long time, but if you're consistently above 6 mg/dL, crystals are forming, and increasingly severe attacks are on their way.

Try diet and lifestyle changes if you want, but if you can't stay below 6.0, there's a $4 a month drug at Walmart that works wonders for most.

Uric acid test kits are affordable and should be used by anyone serious about beating their gout.

    My two cents.

  • @sped2001 Thanks for the info. May I ask what's the name of the test kit?

Gout almost crippled me. I'm on allopurinol now, 300mg daily.

  • @lanaowest google "arctic medical uric acid test" and "kernel uric acid test". The arctic and the kernel seem to be sold only in the UK, but ship hassle free to the US. Test strips are about a dollar each. I have the kernel, but if I had it to do over I'd go with the arctic because the strips have a longer shelf life. Otherwise they're both good.

  • @sped2001 Hey thanks a lot! That was fast!

I have a sister living in Leeds, UK so I will just ask her to get me some.

  • @lanaowest Excellent. You'll find that knowing your uric acid level will let you take control of your gout. You can see how various food and drink affect it. Most importantly, you'll know if your 300mg is doing its job. Keep it below 6.0 and eventually you'll be pain free for good.

    Good luck.

  • Excellent content here and very factual especially on the high uric acid.

Gout is curable and without the need for toxic harmful prescriptions.

It is just a case of correcting the PH chemical imbalance to reduce the uric acid levels to their proper level.

  • @philipchallis1: Gout isn't curable. It's a myth.

  • I'm 25 and had my first case of gout recently. I managed to banish it in 2 to 3 days by drinking lots of black cherry juice and getting prescribed Vicodin for the pain, but I'm terrified of it coming back. I use to drink a lot of beer and Coke and am thinking of cutting that out almost completely and hydrating more. I'm also gonna try to lose some weight (I'm 5'10" and weigh 200lbs currently) to see if that helps. Any other advice from anyone?

  • @JamesOhGoodie Here is my take: Shed some weight (10 lbs over ideal weight) Forget the beer, wine and soda (just occasionally, maybe) 12 glasses of water daily Exercise min. of 30 mins/day, 3x/week. Dumbbells are ideal, light only Minimize the red meat. Eat salad with less dressing Vicodin may not help you in the long run (been there, done that) Forget jogging. May cause further injury I'm on Allopurinol, 300mg daily to check my uric acid Sleep well- helps avoid inflammation Good luck!
  • @JamesOhGoodie My reply didn't come up as grammatical as i would like to. Sorry. I tried to post it in columns but the end result is different. I hope you will get my message just the same. Thank you.

  • @JamesOhGoodie: You must take herbs to increase your kidney's power to remove the waste.

  • A friend of mine who's a GP gave me an article from the medical magazine "Family Practice News" (pp38,39 Sept 1,2010) reporting on a small study of a Dr. Schlesinger, chief of rheumatology at the teaching hospital at Rutgers, where 92% of gout patients given cherry juice concentrate had 50% reduction in acute flare ups. The concentrate is a product of Brownwood Acres. A footnote said the study was funded by a grant from Brownwood Acres. Caveat emptor perhaps, but I'm gonna try it!

  • I suffered w/ gout last year . . I had 4 episodes. I started taking allopurinol which was prescribed by my doctor. And also drinking lots & lots of water to help dissolve the uric acid in the blood stream & eliminate it . . . and also eating YOGURT helped too. I haven't stopped eating red meat or beer, but I've cut down drastically. Moderation, I say.

  • The post was reasonably a good piece of text on this bizarre and precarious ailment. I had been writing a paper on Gout condition, predominantly its origins, signs and symptoms and cures. The figures really worried me and the pace at which it catches up in the human body again is appalling. I can not comprehend why the up to date medicine is unable to provide a therapy to Gout. In addition to the doctor's advice, it's always the best decision to stop drinking alcohol totally.

  • I got this at a young age too. Now with no exaggeration, i can say this has been the most painful thing ive ever experienced. And I have been shot with a 9mm before in the shoulder. But nothing, so far comapres to gout. Quit the beer and red meat fellas

  • @nycrobo - yep. I've had it too. However, I seldom drank alcohol at the time. I'm also a vegetarian. I was slender when I first developed the disease. (I've gained weight because my mobility has been greatly impaired by gout flare ups and damage to my joints.)

  • @MrRedFredSaid: Try taking a herbal combination to remove it.

  • @nycrobo I as told when I was in my teens, that I had gout. All i could think at the time was what the heck is gout anyway?? Well My first attack then was super easy to deal with as I just swelled up some, but not much pain. After that Ive had attacks and pain that make getting shot or stabbed less painful. I did the diet and purine free programs. I am now 40 years old, and I am still having frequent attacks still. I dont drink alcohol at all. Meds seems to make it tolerable but thats all.

  • i'm only 22 and i've got bad gout... it's spread to my fingers and i've got tophi build up which i fear will never go away.. pretty ironic that once i started going out to bars, drinking, getting what i call "beer munchies" (i feel like i'm starving when intoxicated thus eating alot) is when this stuff really began to hit me.... i'm not overweight at all either.. wish i could take it all back so i could atleast eat the way i used to.. i'm looking into trying "serrapeptase" anybody ever try it?

  • @m3tallih0lic with me i swapped my munchies for cherriesand fruit for a while its just controlling the amount of purines and filtering them out.i know it sounds like crap but it helped loads plus i took diclofenac as well.i get it in my hands knees elbows and feet..believe me i know the beer munchies mate its just swapping one thing for another .each little bit helps to keep the crap from building up in joints.sorry if i wasnt any use but i know how it feels.take care:)not tired the serrapeptase

  • @Gazzthemightyarseole yeah drinking alot of water helps too.. and eating well helps.. but it's not helping enough.. ehhh i'm not big on drugs... my kidneys don't need to be working any harder than what they already are trying to get this UA out, so the last thing i need are some 'hard on the kidney' pain meds with a list of side effects when i've already got a huge problem.. also.. i've experienced sleep apnea which can be a link to gout.. so that's one thing that'll def need a look into

  • @m3tallih0lic i hope things work out man sorry if i just stated the obvious

  • @Gazzthemightyarseole don't worry.. you're just trying to help and i appreciate your concern. yeah thanks i hope i can get this shit right for myself the way you seem to have gotten it right for yourself.. i've missed a good week of work these past days due to the crippling pain of gout.. so i'm not even sure if i can keep my job much longer. makes me wonder what the kings with gout from way back in the day would do to prevent themselves from commiting suicide.. just blows my mind

  • @m3tallih0lic dude, you guys...this just happened to me this morning...right now I'm in so much pain and I've had injuries from my Muay Thai Training back in the day, but this is for some reason much worse...I guess I can't comprehend the thought of not taking pain without being caused by a brutal strike...it just hit me this morning when I woke up and this video just answered all my questions...

    "679"

  • they should call it gouch because it's hurts so much

  • oh my dad has gout :(

  • I have gout also, and allopurinol helps a bit. Best take it as soon as you feel it coming. The thing is, all the things that supposedly have something to trigger it, doesn't always trigger it. I got on a healthy diet and everything, STILL it came back. The worst thing about it is, I love lifting weights and it always ruins the routine I try my best to stick to. It's a major setback on life.

  • @66SiK What dietary adjustments did you make?

  • @Chrisisms, I started to eat healthy. Spinach, lots of fruits, reduced my red meat intake, and laid off the alcohol and STILL it came back. The thing about gout is, they say you should try to reduce your protein intake. Well, if you know about protein, you know that ALL meat has protein, turkey, chicken, and tuna has some of the purest forms of protein. Hahaha and I'm not about to be a vegetarian, no offense. Honestly, I think that the medical field is behind on gout.

  • @66SiK Fruit increase sounds positive but the rest of your diet, including spinach doesn't prevent gout.

'The American Medical Association recommends that you cut down on the following foods that cause gout: Alcohol, fish and shell fish, meat extracts, spinach, peas, beans, and lentils, etc.

Hahaha and I'm not about to be a vegetarian'

    You're complaining while mocking yourself.

'I think that the medical field is behind on gout'

And you're waiting for them? You never stopped meat and alcohol?

  • @Chrisisms, I cut back by a lot on meat and almost completely stopped drinking alcohol. Maybe a bottle of beer a week, if even. So what you're saying is, we shouldn't eat meat, vegetables, or drink alcohol at all? Then what are we supposed to eat? Just fruits and bread? There's not much left on the list. Plus, even if you did eliminate all that stuff, it's no guarantee that gout won't hit you.

  • "I cut back by a lot on meat'

So u consumed a lot of meat before and kept consuming meat and alcohol in spite of acquiring gout.Humans lack uricase and can't break down meat purines safely.

    'we shouldn't'

    u do what u want.

'what are we supposed to eat?'

If it causes disease, it's not food.

    'There's not much left'

There are thousands of fruit species. Most hominoidea eat twice as many species as humans.

'it's no guarantee that gout won't hit'

Notice hominoidea eating raw plants rarely get gout.

  • @Chrisisms You don't make any sense, man. I don't think you even have gout. As far as your argument as to "we humans not being able to break down meat efficiently and safely" is ridiculous. Humans are omnivores, with molars, and canines for tearing into flesh. Gout is sometimes hereditary, passed on from blood relatives and no matter what you do, it'll come. Of course healthy eating would help alittle, but that's the case for all health issues.

  • 'humans not being able to break down meat safely is ridiculous'

Humans are the only mammals in whom gout develops spontaneously.Hyperuricemia only commonly develops in humans. Humans already synthesize UA and lack uricase enzymes so dietary uric acid in meat doesn't go through oxidative degradation and UA raise levels up to 10xs higher than other mammals, causing gout, nephrolithiasis and CVD in humans. Purine-free diet reduces UA from 297mmol/L to 178. Annals of Internal Med. 2005; 143;7, 501.

  • 'canines for tearing into flesh'

Humans have the smallest 'canines' of all herbivorous and frugivorous hominoidea. Humans have cuspids, not really canines and they certainly aren't fit for seizing animals...

If u enjoy the effects of meat that is one thing, but to call it natural to enjoy being sick is another.

Real food doesn't cause sickness, it reduces sickness.

  • @Chrisisms, you do what you feel is best, man. I'm just saying, I have gout. My grandfather has gout, my dad has gout, and I have gout. That is why I feel it may be inherited somehow and not always because of diet. The females in my family however do not have it, and we all grew up eating the same things and the same way. Looking at it from that aspect, it may be a hormonal thing.

  • 'my dad has gout and I have gout'

Neither of u were born with it or eat biochemically compatible diets.

    'it may be inherited'

u ACQUIRED and maintain gout, REFUSING to try biochemically compatible diet.

    'not always because of diet'

ALL acquired diseases have more than 1 cause. Address a CONTROLLABLE factor to reduce or end it.

'females in my family do not have it'

Healthy diet is easier than sex change. Women bleed/excrete toxins/uric acid. Meat strains liver & causes oxidative stress/diseases.

  • @Chrisisms I'm sure you're correct, My dad use to get it all the time, And, he wasn't a meat eater hardly at all. I've been getting lately, I change my diet, And, Drink a lot of water, And, It goes away. But, I have to be very careful because, I'm prone to it.

  • @roge69charger So your dad did consume meat and/or fish and also had gout?

  • @Chrisisms No he didn't eat Meat hardly ever. He ate Fish, That he caught, And, That was once in awhile, Or, Purchased it from a Market.

I eat meat but not everyday.

I also suffer from gout for the last 5 yrs. Then, When I think I'm ok, It comes on again. I can tell the way my system feels, I start to get Dry mouth thirsty, And, Lethargic, Don't feel like looking at anything that's Fatty. Then I know I have gout.

Have it now in my right toe.

  • @roge69charger So, in summary your father DID consume meat AND even more dangerous- fish, regardless of the total contribution to serum uric acid and dose dependently contributing to gout episodes. And you follow the same customs.

"Men in the highest quintile of meat intake had a 41% higher risk for gout compared with the lowest quintile, and men in the highest quintile of seafood intake had a 51% higher risk compared with the lowest quintile. Annals of Internal Medicine. 2005 Oct;143(7):502.

  • I have gout I wouldn't wish it on anyone, I have it once a year, the pain is like a sledge hammer that's hit the ball of your big toe. Not good....:

  • @theblade66 What do you do with your diet to reduce gout?

  • @Chrisisms: I placed a naturopathic approach on my site. It will remain posted for a few more days, after which I will remove it.

  • @theblade66: I placed a naturopathic approach on my site, I will leave it posted for a few days only.

  • Hmmm... since so many of you guys suffer from this, watch the lecture on youtube called "Sugar: the bitter truth" in which the presenter suggests that his research points to Fructose (a type of sugar, and component of regular sugar "sucrose") to be a contributor to excess uric acid in the body. I think if you lessen or eliminate fructose this might help relieve gout.

    Just trying to help! :)

  • i have a touch of the old gout

  • I think I got this.

  • 1:51 That guy has a penis nose lol

  • I was up last night for 6 hrs with a major attack of Gout in my ankle i was in agony ,and felt so helpless,i was Dog tired but cudnt sleep,i hate this its ruining my life ...im trying black cherry juice.wich isnt cheap and celery tablets..hope this Works

  • ahh man that sucks i hope you get better

  • @Fagztar

Allopurinol decreases uric acid levels in the blood and urine by inhibiting a certain enzyme responsible for production of uric acid

I was suffering the gout over 10 years my uric acid levels was 600/720! Request your doctor for ALLOPURINOL!!!

  • @ForTheCellar I had gout in my toe so bad, it nearly drove me insane. Alka-seltzer cured it. Get the original basic alka-seltzer, lemon lime formula.

When I took alka-seltzer the pain dropped by 50% in 15 minutes, dropped by 90% the next day, and was completely gone in 2 days. During that period, I took 2 alka-seltzer tablets every 4 hours.

I had some residual pain in my toe lasting a few weeks, probably 5% of the pain, and that was likely pain from damage already done to the toe.

  • @Fagztar: The is a complete naturopathic approach for controlling and reversing this condition.

  • if you have gout you're not supposed to eat freeze-dried food. apparently.

  • can only men get gout? they've only shown men in the video.

  • women get it too!

  • 95% of gout sufferers are men, the remaning 5% are usually menopausal. Been suffering for years.

  • I think you mean, 95% are men and the other 5% should be doing the dishes.
