Hey, I really like this video and I am doing a project for Alzheimer's. I hope u do not mind me to use this video in my final presentation. It will inspire more people. Thanks!
hey, I need it for a presentatio, it's kinda debate, and I'm trying to convince people for keeping their grandparents or parents or whatever with alzehimer with them :)
@dani222606 I do. My mother-in-law is in the final stages. She doesn't know anything and can hardly finish a sentence. She is not in any physical discomfort which is a blessing.
@petercmatthews so why would you say that, when you know that your mother-in-law will eventually die an extremely physically painful death from it. and every Alzheimer's patient is in pain, they cant say what they feel, can express the right emotion, or do any of the things they used to do.
Many patients and their family's do not realise that they can reclaim any fees that have been paid out of their own pocket for ongoing care for a loved one. Even if the patient has passed away, the family can still reclaim their lost inheritance.
Families who have loved ones suffering with alzheimers and other debilitating illnesses should contact us without delay and let us get the ball rolling for you. We operate a 'no win no fee' and there are no upfront charges to make either.
Hi my name is Kate, and I was wondering if I can use this for my class presentation. Our discussion is abot Case & Care Management for the elderly, this happens to be a very effective commercial. Thank you!
Oh My GOD !! This is such a simple video YET so powerful !! So sad and so true.
My grandmother has dementia / alzheimer's and I would hate to think of her alone as these gentlemen are. Makes me wanna climb in the film and take care of them ... especially the one in the tub , poor thing :(
What a beautiful video. Fragile, honest, tender. My dad has dimentia and only today I was in signing up to volunteer at a local Alzheimer's residency home. I'd love to use this video for some of my educational sessions. Cheers, Kim
@KimHoll2010. Hi Kim. Thank you and you may use it with pleasure. When I first posted it TouTube didn't have HD, so I think I will upload an HD version for people to use for education and awareness.
@KimHoll2010 hi nice video...........yahhhhhhhh alzheimer disease is not a joke....................i work as a caregiver my old lady shes 89yrs old and she had a disease like this its a hard job....
My mother in law has advanced Alzheimer's. It really isn't funny. Her attention span and short term memory is about 20 seconds. Her long term memory is not too bad, but she is going backwards in time. She can only recall stuff from when she was about 30 years old and before. She is 87.
My grandmother has AD. Me and my mother are caregivers. Unfortunately her consciousness is almost fully gone. She does not have long term or short term memories anymore. She still has reflexes, like walking and swallowing and she is still able to pronounce sentences, though can't think of meaning anymore. Hope I'll never have AD, I'll kill myself before that. Sorry to burden you, if anything :)
@AikiNick102 im so sorry to hear that, my grandmother has Alzheimer's and she has no more memory and cannot walk. She cant speak and me and my mom have to take care of her as well. So just hang in there, it will be ok.
Everyone look this up listen to what he actually says " she's gonna fly " by Collin raye It is a very good song about his grandmother who has alzeimers !!
My grandmother on my mom's side had alzheimer's disease and died from it. Her condition was far worse! Probably more profound! In her earlier stages, she was like a child rather than herself. Then instantly, she became incapacitated, limited intellectually and physically. She could no longer talk or walk or function on her own. My aunt and uncle lived with her and took intense care of her until her death. My grandfather also died. Losing both her parents was very hard for my mother.
you know it breaks my heart to see people in these conditions I work with people who have alzheimer's. I see what their families go through because it's hard but I have a love for those people because they really mean alot to me. And I do any thing I can to help them out.
Alzheimer's is a degenerative disease that effects the brain. It is not contagious. Without becoming technical, it is a steady memory loss starting with recent memory and eating back into long term memory. So, an Alzheimer's sufferer may not remember what happened 15 minutes ago, but can recount in detail childhood memories. In time, the short term memory span becomes shorter and the older memories go further back. It can be controlled and slowed by drugs, but there is no cure.
Hi Guys. it's National Alzheimer's Awareness month. My mom has alzheimer's. I wrote and sing a song and dedicated to my mom and other freinds and families that are dealing with this illness. Please keep all of us in prayers and thoughts and help find a cure.
This song comes from my soul. If you would like to see a picture of my mom (my hero) look under my pics.
this video was funny. the first time i watched it wasin school. after i got done laughing i wanted to punch myself in the head for laughing. i felt bad since it is such a horrible disease. i send props for people that are dealing with it. keep it real
Good for you! The funds for Alzheimer's and other things are going to be cut, so it's good that you get attention to hopefully get more funding. More and more people are developing Alzheimer's, and in their 40's. My husband is 76, and it's hell. His achievements are well known. This is horrible.
I'm terribly sorry about your mom. All we can do is max out the good times, while we can. Oh, and he laughed so hard, over your video. He loved it. He says it's so true.
It's okay to laugh. The idea I think was to warn us that no one is immune. I'm watching my husband decline with this horror. I need a laugh. Maybe I'm next.
It's an awful disease. Sometimes I think the family suffer more as they lose a loved one while they are still here. You can't mourn because they are still here but the person you once knew who was vibrant and present, has now gone.
You are right Peter. My granny died a month ago. But she left even sooner - 5 years ago. Sometimes she was slipping away slowly sometimes very fast but always with Alzheimer. But she's better now, just not here anymore. She passed away, when all of us allowed her to do this in our thoughts. It was wierd. And in last months she couldn't do basic things - always needed help.
Lmao
