Thanks for the tip, I am one of the weirdos that don't eat gelatin, apparently Ms. Sugarbaker has had a ton of other vegetarians giving her grief for a veg friendly recipe. I don't mind, I like her show anyway. Reminds me of Missouri where I grew up! We were all about making meals out of processed food!

We made it and I was surprised how good it was.

You can't really taste the peanuts because of the other ingredients.

When I was three years old my family went to Yellowstone National Park on vacation--I remember watching my aunt feed orange circus peanuts to a black bear through the vent of our 60's car. I think about that every time I see circus peanuts.

I don't think they let you feed the bears there anymore.

I wish my dad was still living. He loved circus peanuts! I could have surprised them with circus peanut salad! Thinking of all the sugar in that salad makes me kind of nauseous, but ya know, I bet it's good, and I bet my kids would eat it up when I wasn't looking. (They tend to do things like that.)

I've had 4 or 5 of them going at once for get togethers, just set them on cutting boards or something heat resistant or just find you an electric fondue or use a table top electric single burner and then just have a genuine fondue pot on top. Jolene you rock!! Keep up the good work.
