  • just pull this shit down. Cant even hear anything, what was the point of posting this??

  • From the glory days of Deep Elum

  • Fuckin eh, I forgot about this song!

  • bands from the 90's always brought something to the table.

  • Always!

  • how about a left channel?

  • This is one of the best songs on that album

  • probably the worst sound quality of any music video ever posted on youtube

  • believe me, it's not

  • Loved this song back in the day...still do!

  • yessssss

  • one of the greatest bands of the 90s and beyond. cut short.

  • Sound is crappy, too bad. Quite possibly one of the best albums of the nineties. Tim DeLaughter is a true musical genius, period. Listen to Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb it's the best.

  • Theres so much to this band nobody knows about... :(

  • its a shame that this band never made it big it seems like some of the greatest bands were cursed like this one and the vapors ya know turning japanese

  • OMG i kno the lead singer is super fuckable

  • Hey, the beginning of the video was shot on my birthday!

  • Nice dude! =]

  • Great vid! Wish it were higher res.

  • Great song

  • Great song. Great sound. Love it!

  • i've been a tripping daisy fan since back in the day, and i'm totally into the polyphonic spree. just because you don't get the music doesn't mean it sucks, it just means you don't get it. and what fucking band do you play in ghist420? stop hatin

  • i didnt hear this song until yesturday. tripping daisy rocks this, brown eyed pickle boy, and sigmund and the seamonsters are the best songs by them. so stuff it ghist420

  • so ur saying...polyphonic spree? was something worth mention? ,......that makes me laugh..... OKAY!...you can think whatever you want about ur failure band.

  • The only reason they "failed" is because Wes, the guitarist, died. Their music was and is amazing. They are incredibly creative and talented musicians.

  • Not true. They never failed, they outgrew the potential of what Tripping Daisy could possibly be. The Polyphonic Spree was inevitable, with or without the passing of Wes. Yes, 10 years later I still miss him, I hug my bear named after him and wish that he could still be here, but he is fondly remembered and his contributions will always be cherished.

  • i never meant that they failed, because i agree with you completely. I love their music, both tripping daisy and the polyphonic spree. I love them so much that my son has listened to them almost daily since I was 3 months pregnant with him. (my husband and I were actually contemplating naming our next son Wes)

  • the band turned itself into some other nonsense that didnt really ever get big...

  • wrong

  • so very wrong.

  • love this song first time I've heard it since the 90's!!

    Are these guys still playing?

  • no, wes bergen from the band overdosed or something, the singer plays with a band called the polyphonic spree now

  • ahhh to be young again

  • bought this album having never heard of tehm before ans was pleasntly surprised...blasted it out all summer long! hearing it again brings back great memories. don't get the vid though~

  • vocally always kinda reminded me of perry farrel from jane's addiction

  • that's why i bought this fantastic record! great band ;-)

  • Man i used to wear this album out...had no idea there was a video for this song. Don't think i was watching much TV in '94 anyway, i was 20 and lovin' the nose candy back then.

  • fuckin sweet!!!

  • Hah your 35 now bish

  • Seen them live in Winnipeg Canada way back when and they were great...brings back some foggy memories...I might have been lovin' the nose candy back then too.Peace :)

  • good old days... Miss em' so much!

  • One of the things that made this band interesting is that in a time when music was markedly negative and dark in theme and sound. Their songs were actually positive and uplifting, but not in a cheesy way.

  • hehe,"ozzy when he was younger"..can totally see that ,hah

  • dude love you

  • Ozzy when he was younger!! j/k

When I heard the song back in the day I made that mistake.

  • to think.

    i love them both :D

  • And to think this is what essentially turned into the Polyphonic Spree...

  • yeah it weirds me out to

  • today this video really could have rocked they should redo

  • I love this band and this video rocks!

  • what?

  • AWEZOME ! :D

  • It's spelled piranha guys.

  • piranahs ---->figuratively

  • Tim was well fit back then

  • Hmm the song is called Piranah but there's no piranahs in the video, oh well it's still a good song.

  • Well, alot of times theres music videos that have nothing to do with the lyrics. Watch some Depeche Mode songs... those videos are weird! Either way, this was a great video ^_^

  • turn it UP !!

  • Love this band and the polyphonic spree!

  • Yeah dude, these guys were awesome

  • I miss this band...

  • wonderful song

  • GREAT song from a GREAT band; TEXAS is like no other... DALLAS rulz.

  • i saw them live in 95, i was 15, amazing show, amazing band!

  • I love tripping daisy aka Polyphonic Spree! Saw them live way back when and it was way better than I expected. Great band!

  • I had no idea these guys were Polyphonic Spree. They kinda freak me out, what with the weird robes and shit. LOL.

  • classic album

  • Dallas locals, didn't they form Polyphonic Spree? Also a great band

  • Yeppers. That's Tom's other new band. The bassist for Tripping Daisy died, sadly.

  • I think you mean Tim, not Tom. And it was the lead guitar player (Wes) that died, not the bassist. Regardless, what a loss...

  • YAY!!!! I am an elastic firecracker is one hell of an album.

  • i went to school with the lead singer :)

  • good for you

  • tis

  • what school?

  • lake highlands high school in dallas

  • hmm i wasn't sure what i thought of this band but this song is pretty good i gotta say

    i dig it. :)

  • I love this band and this video rocks!

  • Ah, memories...I remember when I was 14 and first saw this video on TV. It gave me chills. Great voice, great lyrics.

  • LEad Singer hair looks the best in "I Got A Girl", When his hair is long and brown, blue and this longer blonde he looks strange...He was Hot In "I got a girl" xD

  • uh...

  • Awesome band live!! I miss them.. RIP Wes..

  • saw these guys with def leppard in 95! awesome show, thanks for the memories....

  • This is one of my favorite tracks of this disc. Great song w/great advice. Tim looks so different in the "MTV ready" videos! I found an autographed copy of "Bill" in a used disc store a few years ago. It's a great collectible.

  • I had the hugest crush on Tim when I was fifteen. Nostalgia time!

  • Tripping Daisy and the Polyphonic Spree rule! :)

  • It's Piranha.

  • Tim Delaughter is awesome! I'm from Dallas and so is the band. Yet I've only seen them once at Trees back in 1995 (RIP Trees. I'm still a fan of Tim's current group The Polyphonic Spree.

  • Great Video

  • I saw these guys in concert many years ago, they were awesome. It's too bad the guitarist passed on, they were a stellar band!

Anyone have a better version of this video? This is one of my favourite songs!

  • Cool Song, to think this was released almost 12 years ago, time fucking flies.

  • my friend marie went out with the drummer for like 2 years when they were touring for elastic firecracker it was wierd to find this out cause i met her in 2000 and was a fan of the band still so to imagine this girl i lived with was on tour with them at some point was a trip she got a chance to sing on tour with the polyphonic spree but it did'nt work out

  • fuck ya

  • Why does the audio suck ass?

  • Piranahs is one of my all time favorite Tripping Daisy songs!! (along with Lost and Found and Your Socks Have No Name and well all the others...) Thanks for posting the videooooo!

I've met Tim DeLaughter a few times too (only since The Polyphonic Spree started touring though)- he is soooo down to earth and sweet, so is Julie. Knowing how awesome they are in person makes me love the music even more! *yay*
