  • When did the nation start to go downhill in terms of literature? Many good books are still published, but all the stupid shit is what sell really well.

  • i got the 23rd for christmas

  • I just bought Uncle John's Bathroom Reader: The Audiobook Volume 1, a few hours ago and I can't wait to start listening to what "useful" information their is to see.

  • I have the 19th edition of Bathroom Reader.

  • i got the 4ply one....its the first 4 of them in one big book

  • I have a lot, too. They came out in '89.

They're cool. I like the "Brand Names".

  • Hahaha I only read the little facts. I didn't listen to him at all.

  • What? Sorry, could you repeat that? I wasn't paying attention.

  • Hahaha exactly

  • really weird. i was just reading mine. mines the biggest ever by uncle john's. spend alot of time with it. ^_^

  • I love mine! My mom gives them to me at christmas.

  • Yes, they are a lot of fun and I love them too!

  • Good for you for spreading the word on Uncle John's BRI. I have 18 issues myself and continue to add a new one after I finish the previous one. Also a Dj of 15 years, I find the info invaluable. KUDOS!

  • I currently own Tees off on golf Slightly irregular, Monumental, And best of the best. These are the greatest ever.

  • those 'little factoids' are called running feet

  • Hahahaha, I love these books!

So many I have yet to read, I'm only on my 5th one now. School library had a few so I'm getting some from there (although I don`t know how clean they are given the nature of the book.)

  • This is my new favorite video on YouTube x3 I've loved Bathroom Readers since the moment I got my first book (for free, by the way), so it's cool to see someone else who's as into it as I am.

    Happy reading! =)

  • I couldn't agree more. Rock on UJBR! Keep on flushin' and go with the flow!

  • Got 'em from the books -- (Used by permission)

  • I just got Curiously Compelling bathroom reader 19th edition. I got it at a yardsale for fifty cense. What a deal!

  • Killer deal, indeed!

  • yea thats the first one i got too its amazing i got unsinkable now it helps me from getting bored

  • These books are utterly amazing. Perfect for the trivia buff or someone who loves books that are jammed packed with knowledge. The randomness of these books make them fun and useful. Great video!

  • Thanks a lot... Learned as much from them over the years as anything... Certainly more than television. :-)

  • Not just funny....

  • Haha, awesome. I remember my first (and only so far) Uncle John's book was "Did you know...?" which REALLY intrested me, as I was addicted to facts, I was sad when I lost it, but I'll probably get a new one. Also, Did You Know...? inspired me to make my own, hand written, personal fact book, written on 5 1/2 x 3 /12 inch paper, which is currently 68 pages long! Congrats, Uncle Johns! And thanks for making my life better!

  • LOVE THE READER!!

  • LOVE ANYONE WHO LOVES THE READER!!

  • people think your stupid if you read on after finals but i know more stuff about stuff than anyone i have the entire serues

  • I have one, but one is wrong....it says its impossible to lick your elbow.....I can!!!!

  • Make a video of that and post it as a response to this one!

  • I love those books!! I never thought I would, but i learned to love them.

  • i have the one for kids and the monumental...just cant put them down...the toilet leaves a huge mark on my ass after sitting there for like an hour

  • Sometimes my legs fall asleep if I get going on a really good story LOL

  • i love these books

  • "I dumb therefore I am" quote from Greek philosopher Dumpolumbokis, or was it Shittockloties ? I always get them mixed up.

  • Gerbs, time for a celebrity pizza box video?

  • i read these instead of regular books and my dad hates it hahah!

  • You are the most awesome person EVER! I have been collecting these books for my entire life. I have every one except for All-Purpose Extra Strength, it took the plunge of death into the toilet. That was a sad day. Great job with the running feet! I leave you with a message from John: "The average American consumes enough caffeine in a year to kill a horse" *20th anniversary book, page 504*

  • they are awesome i have one, very intresting and me and my wife always share info to each other.

  • I love the book. got it for christmas, and a great present:D

  • I live in Australia and have the "Uncle John's great big Australian bathroom reader" lol long name but one of the best things i ever came across!!

  • lol wow dint know they came out with 20th yet i love them too

  • 15,000 horn honks!!! Wow, I'm actually a pretty agressive driver and I've probably only honked mine while driving a couple hundred times, if that. On the other hand I honk my horn before I even start my van to scare away any cats that might be under it so I guess that counts too.

  • Only a couple hundred honks? At that rate you should live to be 465.

  • I didn't know you were a radio DJ. Thats really cool and so is that book. I think I'm gonna go pick it up. I love reading in the bathroom.

  • Former DJ... Quit to start my own production business in 2005... Although I still do a couple weekend shifts for a small local station just to keep my chops up.

  • Pretty interesting stuff. I've never read one of those before. I'll have to get one. Great video. :)

  • Thanks... They really are great -- I'm sure you'll like 'em.

  • America eats 100 acres of pizza every day.

  • If I didn't have my share, America would be at 99 acres daily.

  • That's a LOT of pie!

  • I also collect them. Here's more trivia for you: Did you know that the Great Big Bathroom Reader (11th book) was originally published with an orange cover? But then they realized the cover was too similar to the 10th book, so to prevent confusion, they redesigned the cover, making it red and using a different font. But then people thought it was yet another book so they started buying that too, not realizing it was the same book. I have one of the orange-cover books. They're rare now.

  • Thanks for the info! Sounds interesting.

  • It's certainly made me smarter... or more annoying, depending on who you ask.
