can the volume be adjusted using the front knobs? I want to use it as house stereo. i have a pair bic rtr 1530. its a tweeter, mid, and a 15". 325w @ 8 ohms.
i have amp which is 2x375w rms and i hooked it with 2 speakers which have 2x400.the problem is that both channels are on one side of sink so channels got hot very fast in this summer time for about 30mins :S and the amp turn on overheat protection on channel b.. i found out about qsc gx3 that is good for the speakers i run with its 425w per channel on 4ohms.. so i just wanted to ask does it runs hot while doing party? what cooling it have etc.
@DjSmexyR I think the problem you have is because you are running 4 speakers that are 4 ohms each. The amp cant handle too many speakers at 4 ohms. The thing you should do: either use just one set of those 4 ohms speakers. Or get 4 speakers at 8 ohm each.
@fueledbymusic3 no no.. amp cant be run in 2ohms.. and i have two speakers
each is double 15" box same as jbl jrx 125.. but its not 500w its 400w on 4Ohms.. (martin wisman rx125) its solid copy ... sounds good and high are not like for jbl jrx125 to 16khz its this pair goes 22khz.. and the amp is martin wisman ult 750 (2x375w on 4ohms) but it gets really hot 2 fast so i asked does it gonna run fine on QSC gx3 2x400w on 4 ohms. i wanna buy that gx3 amp but i dont wanna hit again temp protection
@DjSmexyR Well, I can imagine, the amp maybe taking the speakers differently. But on my GX3, the specifications says I run speakers safely down to 4 ohms. Also in the owners manual, it tells me not to daisy chain 2 4 ohm speakers on each channel. But I can daisy chain 2 8 ohm speakers. You are talking about a dual 15" speaker. Well that should be OK on the GX3. Specs says 425W at 4 ohm. I currently have 4 speakers on my GX3, considered 4 ohms each. Im not having heating issues as of now
