This project already existed and was called Friendship Across Cultures Programme developed by Aye Aye Thant, daughter of 3rd Secretary-General U Thant, in 2007 at the U Thant Institute and announced at the UN in June, 2007. They have 2 countries working together - a US school with a school in another country (Korea was the first since that is where Ban Ki-Moon is from) and they learned about each other and then raised money for a 3rd school in a developing country (algeria was the first).
