Star Trek II battle damaged Enterprise toy review

just have to get this one, this has more lines from the movie, there is also another version without speech, in mine khans line is shorter i have the clean version of this ship... and some different sound fx and battle sounds. khans line makes me want to read old man and the sea again havent read that in a while..and mobydick thank you for the review!!

I fyou ever notice in St2 , the Enterprise was only damaged in those threee spots. But in ST3 there were areas that were damaged that weren't even hit by Khan. On the top of the sauser section and the other side of the secondary hull along some nacelle damage. I have always wondered abou those inconsistencies from the two movies.

@RigTig16 in that movie they were attacked by klingons they shot the nacelle and saucer, and other areas havent seen it in a long time but if the dammage appears too early in the movie (before they meet the klingons) then its just simply a kontinuity error by the film makers, and the dammage should appear after they were attacked.

At 3:40 was a phaser shot, not a torpedo. Some moron threw in the hand phaser effect for some unknown reason.

Is that the 22 model from the look of you holding it looks smaller. I remember putting battle damage on the model AMT kit around 1986? Brought many, and stick fibre optics in it some 20 meters! Nicked a few road lights that had flashing circuits that I used or the flashing blinking lights.

Everytime I draw the federation starship, I always add battle damage on it to make it look more cooler. To some, it would look more like a party ship battle cruiser. So did I when I was in high school.

Not to be a complete geekazoid, someone may have brought this up already too, but Khan's very first shot was not on the torpedo bay, but to main engineering (The big black scorch running along the side of the ship.) This is what essentially crippled the enterprise for the remainder of the film. The shot to the torpedo bay came later in the film once the fight moved into the nebula and it was a completely blind luck shot, Kirk ordered "Evasive to starboard" and The Reliant just happened to hit.

This is a TWOK battle damaged version. There is a TSFS battle damaged version that is getting hard to find which has the saucer disintegrating from the self-destruct.

but whats funny is that the box says Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan..but most of the battle damage is actually from Star Trek III the Search for Spock...especially all the damage on the saucer from when the ship self destructed in the movie

I love when you hold the button down for 5 seconds it makes all the sounds in it. I have the non-battle damaged one and it has all of those sounds but is dosn't have that sound with people starting to die on the bridge. :( Must be exclusive to the battle damaged one.

I noticed that to....I did research and according to some there is a story between ST 2 and ST 3 that involves the Enterprise going to battle.....that explains the other damage and also it s=explains why the Khan damage seems to have gotten worse like the hull disintigrated.

There are two bottoms to the ship. Make sure that the bottom that has the "hole" in the middle of it is on there (some people forget it in the box). Then take the ship and twist it (I have a tough time just pushing it into the hole on the stand) onto the the ball joint on the end of the stand. It looks like it won't stand, but it will. I wish they had made the stand better so it doesn't look like it will fall over all the time

just 1 thing wrong with the toy, the enterprise in that movie, and the other 5 original movies, the registration was NCC1701A, on this model u can clearly see it says NCC1701 and the person doing the review clealy points this out, surly any star trek fan would refuse 2 buy this on the basis of it being incorrect, why didnt any1 complain to the company that made it

It WAS NCC1701 in Star Trek II. NCC1701A did not appear in Star Trek 4 (at the end). This is a Wrath of Khan toy, so it isn't "incorrect"

Actually, The Enterprise in Star Trek I and II and III, is THE same starship as the 1960'6 series, only Re-fit. It was Destroyed in Star Trek III. At the END of Star Trek IV, Star Fleet RENAMES the Yorktown Enterprise. and added the A suffix, hence NCC-1701-A. And ever Enterprise Shpi after that B, C, D, ETC...So, this is an VERY accurate representaion on The Star TRek II, The Wrath of Kahn.

No rhngfjgif. The Enterprise in Startrek the Motion Picture, Rath of Khan, and Search for Spock is the NCC-1701. Simply a refit of the original. After it is destroyed in Search for Spock, the rebuilt, or renamed constitution class with the name Enterprise, is NCC-1701-A.

It's toward the end in the Mutara Nebula. The crew can't see out of the viewscreen because of all of the interference, then out of nowhere, they see the Reliant. The Reliant fires and hits the side of the ship. They show the inside of the Enterprise, and a guy gets consumed by fire. That's the scream you hear

I got this model, but here's the main issue I have with it. Light shines through the plastic! If you look for the 1701-A model that Art Asylum released before Diamond Select took over, the plastic they used was much more concentrated.
