  • Why is it so quiet?

  • No matter how hard they would try, no one but no one can ever come close to Christopher Reeve playing Superman! Superman is HIS! And no future Superman and Lois can ever compare to this fantastic scene!

  • It's funny. I was about 2 or 3 years old (yes, it's true), when my parents saw this movie, and they took me with them. I have no idea how I can remember anything being that young, but I remember this scene. I remember her falling and screaming, and that blue nightgown she wore. Everything else is a blur.

  • sweet

  • This is 1000% AMERICAN! cinematografy, music, talent, looks, Superman we miss you sooo much! :((

  • Una De Pelikula Masarap Mekeni!

  • i have always loved this scene. i love the music and the song when its sung, but i love to hear the spoken version as well.

  • This scene always creeped me out. "Can you read my mind?"

  • The 'Superman flight' section should be combined with this section since effectively they follow one another.

  • I had forgotten just how very much I enjoyed this movie.....RIP Christopher Reeves....

  • So,who bought 97sent super man comic book?

    This is so good.Thanks!

  • Simply beautiful. In our hearts forever.

  • i sad chris reeves is gone no one can ever replace him he was the best superman !

  • una de las escenas mas bellas del cine

  • una leyenda

  • UNA LEYENDA

  • ........... it is still the funniest thing ever when he releases her hand to just a light fingertip grip. when they get giddy and relaxed, she falls. the delayed expression on his face is priceless. i laughed so hard at this seeing it the first time - and every time after. this is one of the best film sequences ever..... such a great film on so many levels - true americana

  • fabolous ,,,babs

  • i love this part of the film!

  • I wish Tom Welling & Erica Durance will play this part...although I luv Christopher Reeves and Margot Kidder in this movie...so sweet!

  • I used to think, what a doofus she is - that she's so blind not to realize, without those glasses, but i guess, from her perspective, she's with a god, and with this dreamlike sequence - man, how can one ever live down a notch, to think it's dopey clark from the office. Best of Superman!

  • One of the most beautiful moments ever seen in the movies!

  • christoper eres el mejor superman este momento magico de la pelicula. desde puebla .mexico.saludos!!!!!

  • always love this song lov ya Chris R.I.P

  • Ah, sigh .... I like to think Chris and Dana are up there flying now.

  • always love it

  • Where is the fisic?Einstein is jumping inside his grave

  • one of the most memorable scenes of all time.

  • few scenes in movies can repeat this magic

  • I love this scene. Originally her little monologue was supposed to be sung (first by a singer, then by Margot herself but neither worked out well). Then they went with the current version. A song there would've bored the hell out of me I think, but that spoken word version is magical, and a bit out-of-the-box and unique.

  • A classic scene. Richard Donner is brilliant.

  • very beauty

  • Such an effortlessly endearing, and eloquent, little vignette. ... A tour de force. Mr. Reeve was and is wonderful; Miss Margot is magnificent.

  • Like he was gonna let her hit the ground, (or even let her go) though that WOULD have been kinda funny..."Lois? Where's Lois!? Splat !!" "Sorry, super brain-fart."

  • Classic when I was akid when this first came out I loved this still do great cast Chris RIP

  • Super!

  • Love...it !

  • Love...it!

    Always will!

  • Indeed.

  • "You can fly!"

    "You belong in the sky!"

    "You and I!"

Suddenly, Adam Sandler swoops in and says: "How about I just go eat some pie, I can make things out of rye, and get really high, I just might try!"

  • "You can fly!"

    "You belong in the sky!"

    "You and I!"

Suddenly, Adam Sandler swoops in: "How about I just go eat some pie, I can make things out of rye, and get really high, I could try..."

Just a suggestion to the director... XD

  • Always a timeless and wonderful moment in this movie. I will always love watching them fly.

  • Superman was a very magical movie for me as a kid.

  • what video is this?

  • haha ya hIlArIoUs!! ^_^

  • SOO funny when she let go of his hand

  • this scene reminds me of peter pan, because lois's blue dress kinda looks like wendy's.

  • And as Superman said in the movie, Peter Pan flew with Children Lois. Classic line for a classic movie

  • genius :)

  • soooooooooooo lol you

  • never delete this video. It is the only one I found of its kind and it is the best. People need to forever see this greatness.

  • Viewing this movie was an amazing bit of wish-fulfilment for someone like me who was a Supie comics buff throughout the 60s. By hindsight, the greatest sequences in the motion picture are the out of this world titles, yet to be beaten in terms of impact even almost 30 years later now, the John Williams sound track, the Smallville sequence, the eternal bonding in the viewer's memory between the onscreen characters and Chris Reeve/M Kidder who played the roles, and this truly sequence.

  • Nice job Richard Donner!

  • Fabulously crafted sequence that one won't forget ever.

  • This is an awesome clip. Did anyone else notice on 2:54, it sounds like Superman just farted? lol

  • shall i say the most romantic scene ive ever seen in film

  • HE gave up his powers for her. As Red Forman would say "DUMBASS!"

  • i like when he grabs her as she is falling.

  • Amazing!

  • i know my favorite part is when he catches her from falling. is this the actual clip from the movie? i don't remember her speaking in the backround

  • Yes, this is an actual clip from the movie. It's one of my favourite parts!! :o)

  • Great love story--earthling and illegal alien. (Kidding like Margo Kidder).

Actually one of the most beautiful movie scenes of all time. A++++

  • That's so cool when he catches her while she's falling.

    Wow.

  • Legendary.

  • One word to describew this clip, PERFECT! From the conversation on the balcony, then taking a ride with Superman, together with the background music by John Williams, everything is perfect. Brings back so many memories of 1978. Thanks for the video derek!

  • The Greatest.

  • this is one of my fave movies of all time.missing christopher reeve.

  • nice video..i suddenly miss christopher reeve.

  • maybe he ripped it on dvds or vcds :D
