  • hahaha this is pretty cool. very good work!

  • Weston u did such a good job. Margaret was awesome!

  • Weston did a wonderful job, I love this so much, I can't wait for the next one,

  • Amazing.

I saw y'all filming about half of these segments...I'm glad it wasn't for some Union show on the UGA channel :P

This song describes my dining experience daily. EVC...too far. O-House...not unless I want stir fry. Bolton...this always elicits a laugh.

    Anyway, quite enjoyable. Awesome job.

  • Weston this is the freakin bomb!!!

This was done in his spare time and not for a class. So just enjoy and suck it up. oh wait you do that at Snelling everyday.

youtube is a way to spread your work and Weston did a good job on that

  • Boy you are a witty one. I'll have to come up with an equally witty retort.

Since when when is working at Snelling something degrading or embarrassing? I think the other 50 student employees would have a few key words to say to you, asshole.

Weston did a great job... I only criticized some of the camera work.

  • Haha Weston this is great. I love the ice cream pizza.

  • Nice Wes... My sister-in-law forwarded this to me in an email without knowing that I knew you. Jess and I enjoyed it! Keep on rapping!

  • The only way to improve your work is to have people break it down and tell you what you can improve on. I am not saying that every dining hall video should be shot with a steady cam, rather that every video in general should be, regardless of the importance or relevance.

  • Dude...this is so freakin hillarious man! I was rolling in the Korean PC Bong!

  • last verse if fire

  • Additional, awesome guys. And I'm available for a collaba remix, Weston.

  • Ahahahaha! This is pretty much the best thing ever, Weston. You showed that Bolton Jam guy. Aw, and Miss Sandra was there too! Awesome.

  • i like

  • This is awesome guys! Yay for TELE!

    -Robbi

  • Haha, first of all, Stephen buddy, these folks worked on this long and hard outside of class and in addition to all their coursework, so I'm willing to give them a pass on not buying a steady cam operator for this project.

Second, Nick, bro, it's Ian. Don't get offended by someone making constructive criticism, even if it's someone who gets on youtube during their break at Snell-snell to critique people's just-for-fun videos. Let that jank blow, it isn't worth getting into a post-war. Hahaha.

  • Dude, just because you get paid minimum wage doesn't give you permission to be a total tool. You're the guy all the tools call a tool. Tim Allen could host a show about you called "Tool Time".

Last time I checked, this was their project, giving them the permission to play the "do whatever the hell they want" card. If you don't like it, then shut up and give me my pizza, ass.

  • Your argument is compelling, but still pretty poorly formulated.

First of all, I don't get paid minimum wage. Nobody at Snelling does, last I checked.

By putting this video on youtube, the people who made it are asking for comments. Not all comments are positive. Get over it. They did "whatever they want" and I responded appropriately.

I've never seen someone whine so much about criticism. All I was trying to do was help them out a little and you pitched a bitch fit.

  • I think that we can all respect that putting a video on youtube opens it up to the possibility that people will comment. However, many people place videos on youtube to share them with family and friends and are looking for neither affirmation of their own talents, nor condemnation of their work.

And given that this is a class project, I feel that their professor and their classmates have the most right to critique the video.

  • Be that as it may, this IS the internet and nobody can enforce the "you have no right to comment on this!" rule of thumb.

If you can't take criticism from a 20 year old kid whose opinions mean nothing in the scheme of things, I don't know how you would do faced with the challenge of critics in a professional setting.

  • It's like you find a bunch of kids playing pick up football, then interrupt to tell them that one receiver wasn't eligible and that they weren't wearing the proper football equipment. They're having fun, man.

Weston, this rocked out. Very well done, man!

  • I was under the impression that this video was for a film class. If that's the case, then feedback will help them improve their grade (should they find it useful enough to act on it). I doubt that their professor will say "OMG I can totally relate to the hip-hop and dining hall parts of this video! You deserve an A plus!". The grader is going to focus on the technical aspects of the camera work and the cinematography.

  • To date, I don't believe that anyone from the group has commented on your criticism, the people responding have been friends who are angered or upset on their behalf.

And I don't think that you have no right to comment, but I think that your 20-year-old, not-in-the-class status does diminish the group's ability to take your criticism more seriously that someone that they know is qualified to judge them.

  • You raise very valid points. I have not proven to anyone that I am educated in this field enough to be able to criticize. I'm not sure how I could prove that, to be honest.

I have been in the production game for 5 years and have collaborated on videos spanning genres from music videos to journalism. I'm not just some moron who has never shot anything.

But you will bitch just the same, won't you?

  • FACE OFF!

  • I like how out of all of the employees at Snelling, I'm one of the only ones in the video. And I just started there.

I remember when you guys were here filming this. My primary suggestion to you would be to work on your shots. The still shots are pretty long and repetitive. For your dynamic shots, you want to invest in a dolly or a steady cam. That should help makes things look more professional.

Also, take your equipment out of the shots before you film and remember your rule of thirds.

  • Invest in a dolly or steady cam? For a music video about a dining hall?

Stop talking out of your ass. I'll make sure to suggest to you how I want my pizza cooked next time I'm at Snelling.

  • Oh, lord.

    Seriously, dude?

  • marghettto is my sis

  • hell yea. I got aroused when you ate the ice cream pizza-- I mean hungry! I got hungry...

  • dude, awesome

  • Hahaha, my friend is in that video serving food next to James the red shirt.

  • dtas my sister!!!!!

  • I love it! I wish i had a meal plan. . .
