@G5ive1 Film language is either subtle or overt. Anti-father bias is rampant in this show and in much of tv & film. Whether a character makes a negative dialogue reference to his/her father or a character portraying a father is shown as abusive or useless the effect is the same. Often fathers in horror, action, thriller, drama, comedy films are shown as deadbeat, violent, useless, or easy targets for antagonists/killers. This cliche characterization is definitely bias programming at best.

I agree viper8red that's my favorite one too! I just started getting into the shows because I never had showtime. Bought a few of the episodes but I would love to own the entire series. This is the cream of the crop when it comes to horror on television. Mick Garris knows what he's doing!

I just started watching them I really like them.Subscribed to Netflix recently and it is a great source to be able to see each and every one of them. I have gone to stores like Disc Replay and I see random DVDs here and there but that's no fun when you are on a kick to watch many of them in a row. Best Buy and the official Masters Of Horror site are both places you can buy them but they are like $70 and over for the sets of DVDs Hope this helps anybody out there searching for them.

This is hands down the best opening sequence for a show that I've ever seen. Its so deliciously evil! Reminds me of the music in the Silent Hill and Resident Evil games.... that eerie, haunting piano and mandolin. The best episode though is Cigarette Burns.

The ones I've seen are: Deer Woman, Pick me up, Dance of the dead, Chocolate and Imprint.

Imprint was really good, but it didn't really scare me, more like freak me out.

Dude, Imprint is by far the most fucked up i think. But as for the scariest in my opinion would probably be the Fair Haired Child or Dram Cruise. Most episodes of Masters of Horror don't exactly "scare" you, it just really fucks with you and freaks you out.

By the way; for those of you who don't know, there is technically a third season of MoH. It was renamed to "Fear Itself" and was aired on NBC or something like that. It's not as bloody or gory as MoH was, but there are some pretty good episodes like Eater or New Year's Day. Also, if you pick up the Box set, some of the episodes got the director's cut treatment.
