If all you existed and worked for was to amass a small fortune that would then at its potential loss blacken your hearts into blindinng hatred of those you imagine tried to take it away then i am sorry to tell you that you have wasted your only opportunity to exist, laugh, smile & cry on this beautiful planet.

Your Banging your head against a wall trying to get through to people who will happily avoid paying tax in there own country & at the same time try to increase there savinngs by investing in a high interest bank that only Eskimoes had heard of.

Just looking at your slides, the account you had was surely not a current account which took your mortgage payments etc. It would of been a massive lump greedy sum. Greedy greedy people!
Your mind must be very warped and disturbed Tracyk1000 to believe that people who work and save diligently to accumulate a lump sum of savings for their retirement are greedy - are you jealous?
"... massive lump greedy sum. Greedy greedy people!" Does it give you some kind of satisfaction (or relief) when you attack persons you perceive to be vulnerable?

Sorry but you trusted the bank not the Island. you put your money in that bank because it had a huge % return. Dont you have a brain? Get over it. As a Manx Tax payer i am helping to fund any compensation you receive and i certainly didnt receive any high interest rates that you received. Pathetic
Tracy. Your govt encourages persons to bank on the Isle & boasts of its regulatory standards (see its promotion video Freedom to Flourish). Through sheer incompetence the govt appointed FSC was instrumental in causing the bank's collapse. Interest rates were comparable to those elsewhere. "Compensation" is repaid from the liquidation (depositors' money) with no cost to the Manx taxpayer. Yes, all humans have brains but yours appears to be deranged. If capable try fact finding - very therapeutic.
British tax payers are helping to prop banks up which directly includes many on the island. They're effectively paying to keep Manx workers employed. Nice that Britain plunges itself into debt whilst the Manx govt avoids any debt at all. For once you can't hide with pride behind your horrible three legged swastika flag. I wasn't invested in KS&F but do live in the IoM. Telling people that have lost a lot of money to "get over it" is pathetic but a result of the ignorant Manx faux-patriotism.
WE COULD ALL DO WIT HA LITTLE HAPPINESS - IT IS IN THE HANDS OF TONY BROWN, SPELLMAN AND ASPEN - Justwhy won't you give us back our money and let us go away and live our lives??

Because the money doesn't exist. Or rather, it's in other peoples bank accounts. It is not legally 'your' money any more. You took a gamble, you didn't read the small print, you got done.
1 Bank was quoted in all financial media yet YOU hadn,t heard of it. Do you read?
2 Interest rates comparable with those paid elsewhere for similar accounts.
3 Savings placed in a registered bank are called a deposit not a gamble/investment.
4 You advocate no saving, fully spend one's money. Such a lifestyle is that of the greedy parasite who leeches on society and ends up living on state benefits - subsidized by others who made provision and saved.

The IOM should return 100% of the money'
THEY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY. The UK govt has the money. You want the 40,000 Manx taxpayers to pay YOU because an investment that you freely made went wrong? That's £13,750 for every manx taxpayer. That's well over half the average salary.
Savings placed in a registered bank are not referred to as an investment or a gamble, the correct term is deposit.
The bank was within the Isle of Man's jurisdiction and it was the Manx regulatory body, the FSC, that allowed half the bank's assets to be deposited UNSECURED and vulnerable in London where they were subsequently seized.
Of course depositors have no wish to burden taxpayers; nevertheless the Manx government should atone for the FSC's blunder - how it does so is their affair.
nitromad1 - you must have a very restricted and suspicious thinking process if you assume that all pseudonyms containing three similar consecutive letters relate to the same person. My pseudonym has nothing whatsoever to do with the composer of this video.
Your remark questioning the authenticity of my comment was small-minded and nasty.
Once again I would like to congratulate MissPennyLess on the production of a first class video which clearly illustrates the plight of many depositors.
How life can change overnight, this is exactly what happened to the depositors of KSFIOM. Yes we will get a portion back 11 months after the event - but if you had that money to buy your house because you were returning from working away from UK, they wouldn't let you without that money - SO you LOST THAT HOUSE WHICH WAS GOING TO BE YOUR ONLY HOME. What can you do? Live in a tent- too cold. Live with family - if you have any - live on the State - possibly. We need ALL our money now not in 6 yrs

Have you commented on your own video?....penhy = penny?....
Besides that, I feel sorry for anyone who lost money due to KSF, I wouldn't like to be in that position, i'm lead to believe you will get back a portion of the money, its not much I know.
People on the island are just as annoyed (many islanders of course have lost money due to KSF)
The next time there's a banking crisis many more islanders may be affected. The things that the IOM government can get away with now will be used as a precedent for the future. That includes stringing out depositors for years, holding up the compensation process as long as possible and temporarily raising the DCS from a grossly inadequate amount a very inadequate amount. These videos are to help people carry their due diligence as suggested by the IOM authorities.
Well done. Your video clearly illustrates how lives have been devastated by this affair which was caused initially by a regulatory failure. The Isle of Man should face up to its responsibility and rectify the situation.

Maybe we should all question why you would invest all your money in a bank that no one had ever heard of.... ???
Was it because they were offering higher than usual interest rates .... ???
Does that not make your investments more of a gamble .... ???
You were greedy you got caught maybe you should just spend your money in the future instead of trying just to get richer quicker.

Great video - just sums up how events out of your control can have such a dramatic impact on innocent people every day!
The 8th October was a real reality check for all of us depositors who trusted the IOM and KSF with our savings!
Many of us were left with nothing and after 11 months we are getting only a small amount back - what have people lived on for the past 11 months??
IOM Govt/FSC do the right thing - give us all our money back quickly!
Don't put your money on the IOM!
