As a threat signal/fearfactory/arkaea fan,i must admit while i liked thia album,it ended up making the second threat signal album vocally softer(which they fixed on the new record that just came out),Mechanize did demolish this record,but diff stylings of bands.aside from that,honestly,was kinda shitty how raymond and chrisitian were treated,and not included in fear factory any more.kinda dickish.

Zivotna zelja mi je da ih vidim uzivo, a Arkaea i Threat Signal nema teoretske sanse da ce doci kod nas. TS ne bi skupio ni 200 ljudi u publici, a kamoli Arkaea, ne bi im se isplatilo nazalost da dolaze. :/

I only bought this album because I hear parts of FF heavyness, I don't mind the groove in this but then Jon starts whinging and ruins the whole thing. Maybe he could try to sound less like a child?

Honestly get Dino and Burton back into FF and proceed with brilliance. Gene is an apocalyptic drummer but Raymond Herrera is the only FF drummer.

If you're wondering why people keep bringing up FF when you speak of arkaea its because FF is better, even while missing two of its members.

I'm not going to pretend i know anything about drumming, but the earlier FF albums seem to have more impact. Even though they amped up the bass on mechanize. The whole album seems to be about how fast gene can kick it. Listen to transgression then to a song on mechanize.

@drushtvo its more about creativity than speed.. gene is the more technical drummer, but he even admit how hard learning some of ray's chops was.. listen to gene's version of shock.. he just cant do it right. i love ray's drumming, maybe more than gene's ( in fear factory at least) .. but i couldn't imagine strapping young lad with another drummer than gene... i'm sure bands with new lineups don't rename based on economic reasons.. eg, look at decapitated.. only 1 original member for 2011.

If you think Gene is less creative than Ray, you need to go back and re-listen to Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic. Just being allowed to play on a Death album (let alone TWO) instantly cements one's status as a phenomenal drummer.
