  • Any bells?

Looks like a copy of a Catholicathedral.

    Interesting views.

When was the black and white photo taken?

    No photos of the organ?

  • This is a PRESBYTERIAN CATHEDRAL and there are Presbyterian Cathedrals like this such as ST GIles in Scotland..which is the Church of Scotland and is Presbyterian. Amazing how some people unfamiliar with the Reformed faith and Presbyterians make some comments that are not based on fact.

  • @andaluzusa It can not be a Cathedral unless it is the seat of a Bishop seeing as Presbyterians have none how can this be Bishops that is St Giles is called that because it was a cathedral of the Roman church before the Reformation . But Scotland did away withthe Episcopate.

  • Not to put too fine a point on it, but Presbys don't have cathedrals because their denominational polity is not episcopal (rule by bishops) but congregational. A cathedral in both RC and Anglican churches would have a cathedra, an official seat for the bishop. I doubt this church has such a fixture. Nonetheless, it is cathedral sized and quite impressive. But that's Mellon money.

  • @brassspitoon Amen to that !

  • It is probably The Reverend Dr. J. Richard Szeremany, the music director and director of worship, music and the arts who recently retired and will be surely missed.

  • A very cohesive and colorful organ improvisation - who is the organist?
