  • Need an another one? I can help.

  • what happens to the owners? does the insurance cover something like that?

  • What a shame!!

  • ...i would love to bang my girl in a yacht

  • Yeah....thats distressing. The driver had "that sinking feeling"....for real.

  • This is one reason that I like Hatteras with prop tunnels.

  • why didn't you get the shark?

  • Our government Where is the cut off, because you can't float a boat in 1,000 feet of water.

  • Our government sinks battle ships, luxury liners and cargo ships and super tankers, but that's just fine.

  • A 2008 65 viking is like 2 million brand new.

  • WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS DOOOO

  • They hit a smugglers sub?

  • Why did they bother bringing it back up. Seems like a lot of money wasted if it was a total loss to start with.

  • @lostindiancamp idk, maybe something to do with the hundreds of gallons of fuel on board?

  • @lostindiancamp down here the fines for leaving a vessel sunk are extraordinary. I can't remember exactly how much it is but i I'm pretty sure it also includes a felony for environmental damage or something. I heard of a guy who's flats boat's battery died and filled up with water and sunk in the canal and he never pulled it out. He had like a $80,000 fine and that was only a 17 foot boat

  • Dang, sorry to see that awesome boat go sown like that. Just goes to show you we can never be to careful or safe no matter where you are. Hope its fixed and chasing fish by now!!!

  • cool!!!!

  • What did it hit? Did you see any outcroppings around there? That's weird to me.

  • Shaft seals fail will kill ya every time.

  • Raise the Titanic!

  • This had to suck ass lol

  • LOL 1:34 he is bright red angry or sun burn thumbs up for angry thumbs down for sun burn

  • The biggest boat some of these clowns have been on has been in their bathtub. Good job Hand.

  • Was is just the shaft that came out? Or did the whole shaft log come out of the bottom?

  • What did they charge to get it out?

  • that's a bitch. Hope you had boat insurance.

  • holy fuck wat the hell did u hit?!?!?!?!?!?! u gotta hit something prett hard and pretty fast to do that kind of damage

  • Good job guys

  • @LibertaerUeberAlles , take it you own a sail boat , and John Denver is your hero ....................

  • Looks like one of those loud-n-stinky ones.

  • @LibertaerUeberAlles faggot sailboater ha!

  • @futball900

Yeah, I like boats that can withstand any storm and can go more than a mere couple-hundred km from shore without running out of "fuel."

  • @EricthaRedd

A good reason for building in steel. Unfortunately, most American sailboats are built the flimsy way: fiberglass.

Steel powerboats can handle storms, too, but they need ballasted keels.

  • @LibertaerUeberAlles Naaa , you should watch the Interceptor / pilot boat vids on here . Molded fiberglass , super strong no bilge rust out like steel or rott like wood .

  • @EricthaRedd

I'm surprised by how those pilots can seemingly withstand any weather, despite not having ballasted keels. (Obviously, ballast would make it too slow for chasing ships.)

One problem with fiberglass hulls for ocean sailing: they puncture! I know that the good ones are relatively safe, and I've sailed passages on one w/out too much concern, but the corner of a floating cargo container might just cause a catastrophe. All depends on how confident u want to feel while sleeping :-)

  • at least there can be no more excuses for not doing a deep clean on the interior, lol... please excuse the pun... haha ..anyway , it's a good story for the grand children..

  • Wow. That sucks! That was an amazingly nice yacht! At least 4 million new!

  • Breakage is cruel !!!

  • First off, the boat was not a 2008, it was a 2000. Secondly, it wasn't a 65, it was a 61. I should know as it was my damn boat!

  • like it matters.

  • That would be a great reef for gags!! OUCH!!

  • This would be the most expensive snapper reef I have ever seen.

  • You could easily have hit a big turtle (the giang type)

  • If i owned that boat and that shit happen to me, I would of gone down with the ship....

  • theres a law where its fair game to take whatever you want off a sunken boat

  • If you hit a deadhead or a submerged log while running wide open you could do damage such as this...... Whatever it was, it was hit hard!

  • what could you hit in 30ft of water that would rip out a shaft, other than a submarine?

  • Man, they should have just gave it to me before sinking it.

  • omg hahahah this guy below a few comments said he would stick with his four winns hahahaha omg dude have you ever been on something bigger than a lake boat, this is a real mans toys with an accident

  • did they ever figure out what the capt hit??? must have been somethin solid!!

  • muy bueno aqui en el peru tambien arrancamso de las profundidades embarcaciones de mayor tonelaje seria bueno que revisen busos comerciales del peru

  • wow what a loss! i hope the owner has insurance!

  • I have had a boat in port aransas for several years now and have never seen that boat. When did this happen?

  • @2511sangabriel Port Aransas is a LONG way from Biscayne National Park.

  • larsfasthem,

Capt. hit an underwater object. Go back to Iowa moron...

  • Comment removed

  • @larsfasthemi fuck u bitch, ur just jealous tht u cant afford it, get a real boat, not a piece o' shit four winns :p

  • @betterthanu316 you sound like a butt fuck .your mom and dad must be brother and sister

  • Damn, that is a big @ss boat. Good job on the salvage. How big was the hole in it? I didn't see one in the video? Was is a total loss?

  • yup, total loss. the hole was at the port shaft log, if you look at 4:05 you'll see the port shaft ripped out leaving a 12" hole semper fi

  • @SouthernSalvage If it was a total loss, then why spend money on a salvage operation?

  • @radbcc They still have to remove the boat regardless. If they leave it there, it's a hazard to navigation. If it sunk fully, and was in deeper water, not able to pose a threat to other boats/ships, you'd be on the money though.
