You made some good points in this video and I agree with most of it. Some of the other Utube videos of this family show the boys being paid by Dad for collecting dog "shit" and another of them making "booger" soup. They could end up being ridiculed and made fun of by their peers, which might damage them emotionally. Just a thought.
It seems as though the parents have mental issues. Do they work? Are they really intelligent? If they were creating new process or items or so, I could understand. We have helium balloons already; why try tinker to make a new one. Look they could create some floatation device for tsunami servival; find ways to end flooding etc. Otherwise go back to a normal life.
You have strong opinions just as these parents do. I appreciate that, but since when are sports required to be well-adjusted? And who said these kids were missing out on childhood?
Their neighbors describe them as being fun-loving and very active in their community. These kids go to school and spend lots of time outdoors with both of their parents and with friends and family. They are not sitting in front of the TV all day eating cheetos, nor are they being hidden from the world or abused.

They do storm chasing, reporting from the eye of the storm. Is that an abuse?
