Film shot stuff looked so damn good. They could advertise dust mites, and as long as it was shot on film, it would seem magical.
Given the fact that--in addition to having life, warmth, soul and depth that digital doesn't have--film also has infinite more resolution than digital, it's friggin mystifying how the public has been hoodwinked into believing that digital is somehow superior. I guess when you tell them to associated the letters "HD" with superiority (even if untrue), that happens.
