You can go to this website and read every thing about, you can buy the Diary of Saint Maria Fustina and know how Jesus told her and showed Himself to her, and asked her to tell the whole world to pray this chaplet (which He Himself gave to her also with the image with the pail and red rays coming from his chest, which means the blood and water that came out from his Most Sacred Heart when he was pierced by the Roman soldier. This is the mercy we have to accept, an come to him and ask for forgiveness, and also pray for the whole world. We are saved not only buy accepting that he died on the cross for us, but we need to understand the purpose of it. I know of some agnostics who hang the rosary on their rear view mirror in their cars like a Catholic. Whatever works to plant the seeds of Faith.
