No, meteor garden was originally Taiwanese. Japan, korea, and etc. just took the idea, changed a few things, and called it their own. Meteor garden II wasn't ever planned, but was made by some random writers as a ploy to soak up as much money from the popularity as possible.

nah I agree with Ciaromi, Meteor Garden 1 is a live make of the popular manga in Jap. The anime was out and was a popular hit in Japan/Korea. Then MG1 was made. Due to its vast popularity, MG2 was filmed and put to screen. but MG2 was purely based on the Taiwanese's own creation.

Why is Yesha calling the shots. when she thot it was rt for Xi n Shanchai to get back, she kept encouraging Shancai. Now she's got a change of heart so she's decided to keep Xi.
