1. Generally aljazeera (arabic, and english, documentary, live, etc..) all its channel varieties are all wonderful. Aljazeera is of the veryyyy few News Channels these days to deliver the voice of the people, the citizens of countries, the street, the 99% of population of each country in the world,,,,,,,,,,,as the voice of the governments,,, as most news channels talk in one language only,, what the governments and power want.

I have seen many News channels. Every channel is biased with the view of the targeted audience. BBC does do some quality reporting, but it does somehow seem the view of West (I am shying away of saying Christian world, though). The same goes for Al Jazeera. It does have some quality news, but seen through the eyes of Middle East (Again, I am not saying Muslim world).
It's tough to get AJE on many cable distributors in the Western USA (that's the real west: not Calif or the Coast). If an effort were made to get AJE distributed to many areas aside from California; many people (not only Muslims) would subscribe.
I'm Christian and I'd sooner make friends with moderate Muslims than fundamentalist Christians. Fundamentalist from both sides in my opinion are devoid of commonsense and are led by hypocritical leaders who twists our faiths about.

It's better to have information than not enough! The American news media does not offer enough information on the middle east. A persons brain deciphers all media and makes it objective, you decide what is true or not, we can only do that if we have access to information and news coverage, if we rely solely on American news there is nothing to decipher. Very informative and providing an air of comfort to viewers. People dont have to put up with ridiculous hosts and obviously impartial reports characteristic of most other world wide channels. Usually, the biggest news in each own country is the native speaking television channel. Aljazeera had the other way around. What's the ulterior motive behind it?..
CNN uses english because it's an english language based country, just like the BBC. China uses mandarin as its language, Indonesia uses the Indonesian language. (Of course, they are channels that speak english because it is an international language, but it's like a small percentage compared to language uses in each own country.)
Al JazeeraEnglish is doing a fantastic job of covering the stories that mainstream media elsewhere just won't touch. While most news, yours included, comes with a spin of some kind, I'd rather know what's happening than experience state sponsored black out. There are much more important news items than Brangelina, Britney and who the next American Idol is. We're on the precipice of world war 3 and all our media can cover is fluff.
I think a 24 hour news channel in Spanish will be very helpful. The Latin American and Iberian Cultures need a news channel that is clear, concise, and shows the story from all sides and tells the truth. And it can bridge the gap between the cultures of Islam, Arab, the East and the African South, and the Latin cultures directly. PLus, almost all news in Spnaish is either propaganda from the right or the left, you can´t find anyting balanced in teh TV news in the Spanish Language press.

I like Al Jazeera. I have subscribed and believe it has a very objective view of events and perspectives. I have become hooked, in a sense since joining after the Obama nomination. I think it is being covered superbly.
It is a good thing to hear more than one reporting of news to contrast the reporting as to veracity, bias, etc. Al jazeera does a very fine job reporting world wide news. I find it to be quite professional and objective for the most part.
Everyone doesn't know the hate and violence that is amongst many muslims towards anyone who is a westerner, christian,Jew, american or helps Israel. I strongly believe Aljazeera English and the BBC are the only truly objective news sources left. Rumsfeld practically endorsed the channel when he called it "evil" - terrified that unedited and ubiased coverage of the war in Iraq would sway public opinion at home against the war. EDUCATE people on all middle-eastern peoples. Use words like Coptic, Persian, Phoenician, Maronite Christian, Assyrian, Caananite, Melkite, etc. In other words, educate people in the world so people realize the many unique and diverse cultures in the middle-east. I would suggest that Al Jazeera try to conform less. I enjoy watching it, but it seems at times that there are cutaway comments at the end that seek to act as an appeasemnt to the west and capitalism.

Aljazeera English brings differnt sides to the storys both domestic and international thats long been removed by the CFR regulated media in the states. Hence they earned the name Big Al. Bringing-in News Presenters from CNN, BBC, Fox and Sky etc has destroyed the good image and reputation that Al Jazeera had managed to build among the muslims in general and the Arabs in particular.
Before this west-influenced and west-dominated English version, Al Jazeera was considered as a strong voice of the muslim world.

I have seen many News channels. Every channel is biased with the view of the targeted audience. BBC does do some quality reporting, but it does somehow seem the view of West (I am shying away of saying Christian world, though). The same goes for Al Jazeera. It does have some quality news, but seen through the eyes of Middle East (Again, I am not saying Muslim world).

I live in the USA, I am proud of my country, but I don't trust our media even one tiny bit. The best coverage they can get is some firefighter rescueing a cat from a tree somewhere in Ohio while an earthquake in Asia kills thousands. Al Jazeera English is a great way to get important, relatively impartial information. If anyone is looking for a good news source to check on daily, I couldn't think of a better one. It's better to have information than not enough! The American news media does not offer enough information on the middle east. A persons brain deciphers all media and makes it objective, you decide what is true or not, we can only do that if we have access to information and news coverage, if we rely solely on American news there is nothing to decipher. CNN uses english because it's an english language based country, just like the BBC. China uses mandarin as its language, Indonesia uses the Indonesian language. (Of course, they are channels that speak english because it is an international language, but it's like a small percentage compared to language uses in each own country.)

While most news, yours included, comes with a spin of some kind, I'd rather know what's happening than experience state sponsored black out. There are much more important news items than Brangelina, Britney and who the next American Idol is. We're on the precipice of world war 3 and all our media can cover is fluff.

I think a 24 hour news channel in Spanish will be very helpful. The Latin American and Iberian Cultures need a news channel that is clear, concise, and shows the story from all sides and tells the truth. And it can bridge the gap between the cultures of Islam, Arab, the East and the African South, and the Latin cultures directly. PLus, almost all news in Spnaish is either propaganda from the right or the left, you can´t find anyting balanced in teh TV news in the Spanish Language press.

Everyone doesn't know the hate and violence that is amongst many muslims towards anyone who is a westerner, christian,Jew, american or helps Israel. And the oppression of Muslims who disagree or disasociate with violence. It is primarily non-muslim countries that have helped internationally with aid, food, medicine for nations suffering. Sunami relief, disaster relief, etc.

I strongly believe Aljazeera English and the BBC are the only truly objective news sources left. Rumsfeld practically endorsed the channel when he called it "evil" - terrified that unedited and ubiased coverage of the war in Iraq would sway public opinion at home against the war. The quality of the English channel so far has been outstanding, with first class journalist, some of whom are ex-BBC, that itself speaks volumes of the channel's credibility.

EDUCATE people on all middle-eastern peoples. Use words like Coptic, Persian, Phoenician, Maronite Christian, Assyrian, Caananite, Melkite, etc. In other words, educate people in the world so people realize the many unique and diverse cultures in the middle-east. As well, teach people about what the middle-east has contributed to the world. The alphabet(phoenicians), the wheel,etc. The media in the west creates myths, stereotypes and falsehoods about the middle-eastern people

I would suggest that Al Jazeera try to conform less. I enjoy watching it, but it seems at times that there are cutaway comments at the end that seek to act as an appeasemnt to the west and capitalism.

Aljazeera is balanced and non-biased in its analyses and news presentation. The unique spectre that Aljazeera has is its critical aspect; that is to say it dares criticise the very purported rationality of the West with their own reason and rationale, i.e. human rights, democracy and freedom of expression. Aljazeera is not an Islamic counterpart of the Fox just because it spells out western weakness.

I support alt. media.I watch news from many different sources.Only then do I check out msm and compare what is being propagated, try to make an informed decision about the truth in all of it. No media source is completely free of agendas or bias,conscious or unconscious,that is why it is vital that ALL sources be available,to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each.I do not know of AJ content as a whole.I have enjoyed a different perspective in those stories that have interested me.
