I like this a whole lot better than Kings of Leon's version. Brian's voice fits better I think.

I also like Yoav's version with Emily browning, it's different, slower and sweeter.

All in all I'm glad Pixies made such a great song that such great artists like to cover :D

@famegirl44 I think that that's my problem with it. Yes, of course it can have value without being better than the original, but nonetheless, in itself it isn't anything all that special. If they want to re-interpret a song then that's fine; that's of equal worth to writing a new song. But this isn't that. It's fine. It's just nothing special. They place the emphasis in the same places for God's sake. They don't do enough for it to be anything more than fine.

good version, doesnt have the same essence as the pixies one. its strange . Placebos singer is a little too nasaly whilst the pixies is alot more full bodied and the way the vocals are mixed give it a much more eerie quality. also this has too much distortion for my liking :)

it's hard ( for me ) to choose the best version of this song , pixies did it first and it's a crackin tune ,but i've always loved placebo - and to be fair they did a fantastic cover - i think i slightly prefer the pixies original - but at least placebo are not one of those shit bands that cover a song and don't give anything to it ... or do such a shit job that it even puts you off the original
