  • well..

..i just noted a "farm life opportunity," somewhere in this video.

can any of you figure where this might be?

  • That word you were looking for near the end of the video was the word "trope". This specific trope would be called "tempting fate", which you were totally doing there! :P

  • no, no..

..that sped-up cave level music totally didn't sound like something to which Podobos would mate, at all. . . . .

  • Yay stupid horse • 5 is equal to 1 life !! Ńøæżńłūöę

  • God toppled the Tower of Babel specifically because humans were consistently beating him at Scrabble. (And, incidentally, Jenga.)

    He's not a good sport.

  • Sorry, American here... 40C is what in degrees? Live in Texas and it can get hot as hell but for some reason, snow here in March.

  • @Michigan31 Fahrenheit is (9/5)x Celsius + 32.

    So 104°F.

  • @FMagl

yep that's are weather! but didn't know Oregon was that hot lol.

  • @Michigan31 Google "celsius to fahrenheit" and you'll find a converter thingy! :D

  • So the trick to being successful in LPs is to complain a lot?

My god, I've been doing it wrong the whole time! Now my separate LP channel will be the most successful channel ever! Thanks, Raocow, you're a lifesaver! :D

  • 40C? Thats pretty cool here in USA, Georgia. I might even wear a long sleeve shirt.

  • 10:30

Y-You were silent... For an uncomfortable period of time... Aw, Raocow, I hate seeing you upset... :<

  • My ex couldn't sleep, so she specifically requested this video to help her, so now she's snoring like a baby. Thank you, raocow! =)

  • BOOP! hey there erryone, this is raocow...

  • I quite honestly believe that 40C entitles you to be as grungy as you please. With such contrasts in winter/summer heat feels hotter. And given that you one yourself said that you would rather have it too cold than too hot (not trying to stalk, I just happen to agree and because of that it stuck for some reason.) leads me to believe that such degrees suck more than most can Imagine.

    I feel sorry for you.

  • Bah. Iowans are built to survive 40 C plus 80+% humidity in the summer, and -40 with biting winds in the winter. *nevertheless, turns a fan on and sets it to blow directly on our dear narrator/player*

Articles are some of the most annoying aspects of language. For an English speaker, who does not use masc/fem/neut articles, these concepts frustrate us like mad. For those who do use them, the lack of agreement in English must be similarly maddening.

  • Those piranha plants are female. She's called "danny."

  • So that's what's in the twilit cabin in the bayou? A fire flower?

  • dude that is one bad ass drummer playing in the background at the last half of this video.

  • How do you feel about that, mister WOAH, IT'S A BOSS!!!

  • Of course, five minutes after I mention how I'm glad for cooler weather tomorrow, we get a very windy torrential downpour. We're in the red.

  • I cannot wait for cooler weather tomorrow. It's been very hot and humid here, too.

  • Wow you are my hero to finally get all the Dragon/Horse coins and get a game over you die in style and it makes me want to eat your chocolate so I could be come one with the grass also what were you saying in French it sounded interesting till next time,

    Hee-Ho!

  • gota say been watching for awhile and i am very much enjoying your videos rao you've even inspired me to begin LPing but my vids so i was wondering what program you use to record your videos

  • @McCript uses camtasia you see, to record and edit, get it from somewhere cuz it's expensive

  • @aJazzyFeel thank you so much for the info ^.^

  • You totally called that one raocow.

  • Does anyone get a vibe that these levels were definitely made to be played with save states? Not exactly because of difficulty, but just because of length. The levels are too long to only have one midpoint.

  • "Silence is not always frustration" in the tags. You sure about that Raocow?

  • Holy crap! 40C with humidity? My town usually gets up to 35-ish, but it's very dry.

  • Regarding the bonus rooms' scrolling (1:30), IIRC, FPI set up his bonus rooms in LM to utilize as few as possible by way of numerous secondary exits to spit Mario out to where he needs to be. So if/when you come across another bonus room that scrolls like that, that's most likely why.

  • 9:10 You forgot to add that it is quite twilit.

  • Its the raocow-tsrp2 curse! raocow plays the level's first half with little to no problems, then he gets the mid point plays a little bit, then dies. Then he has hell.

  • Canadians are not meant to survive in 40C weather!!

    Amen to that !

    I'm dyin' here :(

  • 10:22

    TOTALLY my new catch-phrase.

  • 3:07-3:20

WTF did Raocow just say?! IT didn't even sound like English! It barely sounded legal!

  • @Bellolsom He was disparaging the trend for people/companies to avoid spending a little money now when it would save them lots of money later.

  • "A little bit of common sense, people! Not every means to save money is necessarily a good thing for the thing in the long range, that's what a lot of people are unable to do [...]"

It's English all right, but as always, raocow doesn't make any sense. LOL

  • @Zapok12 I'm guessing it's the second response to "Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?"

  • I have no idea what you're talking about XD

  • @Zapok12 Can you answer it? No? :3

  • ... Read my comment again. Then think about it. Now do you know what's the answer? Let me help you! NO. Obviously I don't, if I say that I have no idea what you're talking about... Now, can you explain?

  • @Zapok12 Sorry, I can't explain that question to you either. I dunno what it means. ^^

  • 10:18

  • 40C? that's like 100 degrees

  • You know, it occurs to me that this is the Randorland of Big Boo Battles. That doesn't not mean a bad thing, of course. Big Boo fights are atleast easier and more varied then Magikoopa fights.

  • I agree Raocow, it's so gosh darn hot my igloo is melting!

    (South Ontario)

  • Atleast you guys live in what are generaly considered the warmer parts of Canada. I'm in the North West Territories and its much hotter then It should ever be up here.

  • @LaZodiac How's your igloo doing?

  • The bad news is that I'm homeless. The goodnews is now I have a pool!

  • @LaZodiac The re-bad news is that it's way too cold. :(

  • Wow, been awhile since i heard raocow be so quiet on a smw hack. By the way, the reason for this was the LP curse. You say its going well, and then BAM! The curse kicks in and you fail a whole lot. Which to me, makes a more entertaining let's play. See you tommorow guy.

  • I don't know how much it would go against your style, but going back to another level to restock on powerups/hits might help stave off the "replay after death = shenanigans" issue.

  • I don't blame you Raocow. It's really, really, hot where I am as well. I think 95 with a humidity factor that puts it well over 100 degrees. It just got worse because I was laughing hysterically at your death montages. Kudos for your perseverance. Oh, next time just jump on the beetle instead of slide-kicking it. :D

  • Don't worry, we love you no matter how many times you die right before the end. Also, love the French phrases thrown in!

  • i think thats a good idea to have unscheduled chelsea but regular mario updates. i also found your videos much better as of late, that break from mario did you well. :D

  • Wait, I played that exact second level in another hack before...

  • isnt cycloboo the main bad guy?

  • Hey Raocow do you have any LP's in all french?

  • Yeah I understand what you mean Raocow. Here in Montreal it's almost 40 degrees. Freaking hot and people lose patience. Bonne chance avec cette vague de chaleur Sam :)

  • The French chipmunk is scary.

  • big boo mafia

  • *calculate calculate* 104°F? Whew, I'm glad those days ended here...

  • niaisseux !!

  • "silence is not always frustration" in the tags caused politics to appear in the related videos.

    Interesting.

  • Haha, it's cold in B.C. right now.

  • 7:25 great recreation of war of 1812. I once did simillar recreation with my sister. But that was World War II, I was like 2 years old, she was like 4 and it was because of some teddy bear, I guess...

  • Raocow your amazingness wins with gusto.

  • Raocow speaking french? never thought id see the day... man... it turned me on...

  • Geesh... 40C Weather! D: that sounds so annoying mate,I hope it lowers, here we are with bloddy hot days and very cold nights :(

Anyways, very nice video as ever :)

  • 7:00

If there really was a war in 1812, that was really badass of you, raocow

  • aocow you are aware you are missing the secret in adventure hill right

or at least i think you are

  • @CaptainWizardBeard No, I don't think so. One loops back into world 2, the other leads to the nautilus who leads to the yellow switch.

  • @raocow Huh. I kinda sorta kinda remember the secret exit heading off to some other side-track route with 3 extra stages, Old Aquaria, some Dreamland stage and a ghosthouse thing. may be ( and probably am ) wrong though

  • @CaptainWizardBeard that's going to be later :)

  • Yep. Reminds me of the Dust Man debacle I had last year. "This will be easy," I said. Then, I proceeded to fail over twenty times in the dumbest of ways. After I was done recording, I wound up beating the level twice without dying at all. Overconfidence is the road to ruin.

  • I am getting totally nostalgic and huge backflashes to the good ole gameboy games when watching this :D

    Mario land 2 was aaaaaaaaaawesome!

  • I kinda have gravity-water levels like that.

  • it's fat albert

  • Sooo, the level design of the first stage, is it an graphically altered ghost house or how else do they get the fog in the level?

  • ahaha ahh good ole classic raocow fail :P

it's not a classic racow moment without dying just before the end of the level and taking forever to get to it again. All that's missing to is a silly stupid death less than a minute into the video :D

  • wow. in this exact place i just thought the chains were decorations. I spent hours trying to spin jump on the rocks ate the exact moment necessary to be able to reach the platform.

  • I think we all knew there was a death montage coming.

Pretty sure we all knew right after you said, 'Well, this is going pretty well.'

You spoke too soon Mr. Raocow. Even though you were right at the end of the level, you spoke way too soon.

  • The Raocow cycle !

  • This cave always gave me trouble too...

  • Also I checked, and 40 C is 104 F where I am. That's pretty sick, man. I can understand having those kinds of temperatures here in North Carolina, but Canada? That's horrible.

  • Its called: " The Let's Play Curse " NEVER say ANYTHING that involes you doing well in a level! Or you'll suck worse than a 6 year old! just warning you..... >:)

  • @waterbottle432 we'll have no chuggaaconoy propeganda here please.

  • @waterbottle432 your right nonetheless though XD

  • When you started speaking in French I knew you were at your breaking point.

  • Yogi's not going away Raocow, they're making a movie.

  • Boy is this game greedy with handing out powerups. =\

  • I love how exactly right you were about the doing well and then dying a million times

  • @tokagerokuji i like how you worded that

  • lol

    at 10:09

    Quesceque je fait la x)

    Lol

I'm French so i think that even more fun for me x)

  • GIVE ME YOUR HEAT

WE'RE FREEZING IN GERMANY, usually it's like 41 degrees around august days! it's so cold i have to wear my winter coat already!! GIMME DAT

  • @aJazzyFeel we're freezing in russia too, it should be 21-23C but it's almost 8C days and almost 3C nights gosh. OH WELL we all had a really really hot summer all over the place except south america so it's pretty okay ;)

  • @aJazzyFeel Oh god, this. We're freezing in Finland, too.

  • @aJazzyFeel Ich glaube dass es ist nicht wirklich dass kalt. lol

  • @TheSonicGod hier in bayern ist's ziemlich kalt! :(

  • @aJazzyFeel Aww. Es tut mir leid.

Bald wir werden sehr kalt Wetter. Ich weiß es.

  • Comment removed

  • happy 2nd september raocow!!! =D

  • Heat = evil. Especially if you're like me and work during the night. It's impossible to sleep like this. Didn't sleep at all yesterday... >.>

  • I hate you Raocow. You've made me want to start LPing >:(

  • i don't know if I should really say this or not, but it might do some good...But how can you recognize a personal error in a mario game, but not in a lot of other games and blame the controls for it? that just confuses me...

  • @verarticus I'm guessing personal bias.

    ...

  • @raocow

It's not just your thing. It happens to everybody, they always blame the game when it's new to them. They just don't know the engine yet.

  • @LaughingThesaurus well the game could have opted out to make a better engine, instead of keeping it flawed

  • @Jebrone

It's not always that the game has a flawed engine. It's usually something the player just hasn't figured out yet. A bad engine would be one that kills you for a reason that wasn't clearly your fault, is simply too easy, or maybe has a very serious lack of balance. Bunny Must Die's engine isn't flawed, neither is Castlevania's or any game without air control for that matter. They're just games you have to get used to. Now, engines where physics make you fall through the floor?

  • @LaughingThesaurus Action 52. Horrible games, using a horrible engine.

  • @TheRandomDragon01

Hey, I said it's usually the player's fault, not always. Action 52 may just be one of those really bad engines.

  • @verarticus if your talking about bunny must die.... the controls in that game really do suck....

  • @verarticus Raocow has played mario stuff long enough to recognize his own personal blunders without shame, and recognize when his controls mess up.

In other games, he is not as used to the controls or the game, so he plays more cautiously and that prevents him from making as many personal mistakes. And since he is not as used to the controls it is pretty believable that they could be partly at fault for whatever the error was. Unless it was a really stupid mistake. Then he still recognizes it.

  • @verarticus well think about it hes been playing for years he's probably REALLY comfortable with Mario controls so he cant blame controls while on other games hes just being introduced to th controls/phyysic and most of what we see is pretty much all his esperience with the controls

  • @shadowrundas ya but still some things he blames on the controls that are the same for every game...such as falling down a long hole because of flailing about...

  • @verarticus well he DOES play mario hacks religiously and its controls are p different from other platformers (everything seems to move way faster)

    oh and personal bias

  • 10:00......what did he say?

  • When are B-Sides returning? :(

Marios great but I think your best comes when your playing something totally Raocow Random

  • many plant species have separate sexes like humans

  • 40C... IN CANADA?!

Holy Jesus what's with this global warming

  • I have this same feeling you have Roacow. If I play 2 levels and fail at the second one I lose interest in the whole game and start to fail in a lazy way.. Then I play it again some day and it goes on a first try! It's like motivation issue or something.

  • "Hey! This playthrough is going well!"

    "Of course having said that..."

*Throws shell that ricochets off the wall and hits him*

    "Yeah...."

  • I feel your pain raocow, the heat is terrible. It's so humid lately. I hope if Earl does reach us, he takes the humidity with him.

  • I completely understand the heat wave thing. You can't even sleep in this kind of weather.

  • Complaining during an LP is really annoying unless it's justified (but most of the time it isn't).

  • Well technically, spiderwebs only take like one night to make! When I still used my bike, I had to keep cleaning it of them after I left it standing for like a single day or two.

... I half-covered my face with my hands for almost the entire video from the point where you first died. You should stop jinxing yourself, Mister Raocow, Jinx is a very unfortunately designed creature and you should not associate yourself with it.

  • 7:33 That would be a hermaphrodite.

  • Slime comes from bugs

    ...Wriggle is now very slimy

  • @TheSoldierIsaSpy Leave Wriggle alone!

  • It's pretty confusing how some parts of stages seem to be reused from earlier parts of the same stage.

  • @Xereant Or well, I can only recognize one part, so scrap the plural there.

  • 12:40 I would call it a trope.

Also this video contains the best commentary that raocow and any other LPers I watch had for a long time. I was laughing all the way through this video!

    Also raocow predicts the future!

  • @Mandew5 I couldn't find the matching trope, so I filed a YKTTW.

    tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php

    ?id=o0sflkgtahc9k8apteflhujx

  • why is this happening to me?

  • I actually think that the pihanna plants don't have ANY gender, because you can tell what gender a plant is by looking at it's flowers, and since pirhanna plants only have a mouth; not a flower, they don't have a gender.

  • I don't know why, but it's interesting when Raocow speaks French. I have no idea what he's saying, so maybe that's why.

  • 6: 53 Amen, Raocow! =D

  • 12:17 Fireball through the landscaping

  • I love you

  • His boobeam buddies are tough and mean. They're vicious, and they're not afraid to go back to prison.

  • Oh, Raowcow... you just HAD to jinx yourself, didn't you?

  • 8:13 is an impressive cacophony of sounds.

  • I was reading the comment about "bouts of bad attitude" and thinking "well, the video's going great so far... maybe a little less upbeat than usual, but..." and then that phenomena you described happened. It's like dying once just throws you off your timing and rhythm, like in Gradius where dying once causes you to lose all your power-ups, only more psychological.

  • 9:12 would this be....a twilit bayou?

  • That Big Boo brings back memories. Memories of uncontrollable laughter. Memories of Black Plague.

  • Damn you raocow .... why was the summer in Germany so frigid and short this year ;_;

And you can't grow a liking to a hot summer day >.<

  • 03:56

    raocow the psychologist

  • Let's start a new trend, if you write 1:st, 2:nd, 3:rd or w/e you're a complete dumbass :)

  • @Wolfie200 that already started, and people are way into it, but seem to put too much effort into it, with all their caps, and punctuation spamming

    AINT IT GREAT!!!!11!!!!1one!!!11eleven

  • @Daannaay I was just trying to take a different approach to the matter ;)

  • @Wolfie200 you just said it :>

  • @Wolfie200 Or instead just ignore them and remember freedom of speech.

  • @Wolfie200 Thats a pretty old trend, in fact, it's not a trend. It's law
