Basil Poledouris and a Symphonic Orchestra,Arnold,Dino De Laurentis,Oliver Stone,Valeria,CROM (forgotten here),natural sceneries,wolves,an epic storyteller throughout the whole movie...and the 20th Century Fox (Lionsgate?).Only Ridley Scott,or James Cameron could equal that masterpiece.This was not a remake,this was another thing,another story,just an adventure movie,not an epic one.Conan 1982 was a symphony within a movie...hard to do again.All the same,Conan is back.

the very first 10 minutes where the young conan proves his worth to fight along the village warriors was the best of the whole film... i really wanted Conan The Barbarian 2011 to be a high adrenaline rush pure sword and sorcery blood and gore, a tale for the generations to tell about...i really wanted it.but it was a let down :( in my opinion even Solomon Kane was better. Mamoa, he did not fill the role both in physical and attitude wise...where the hell the scar came from anyway?this is no Kull

@donandroz Hi Jason Mamoa, loved you as Khal Drogo in A Game of Thrones, but Arny is the only true Conan; Hell you aren't even in the same league as the Conan that was portrayed by Hagen from Gladiator, in that really bad Conan TV show... If this is not Jason Mamoa, you have really shitty taste in Conan portrayals, and should go kill yourself now.

Thanks for the views and comments, likes and dislikes. Having now seen the new film, I have very strong feelings both positive and negative. It is a shame the new film couldn't keep the fire burning beyond the first forty or so minutes. I did really enjoy the opening sequences though. I guess it might be another decade or two before another 'would be' film making great rises to the challenge of giving R.E Howard's vision the same justice that PJ bestowed upon LOTR. Till then I'll keep reading.
